Sevens

Chapter xvi prologue

- Dim cloudy skies.

Snowy Central was the capital but strangely quiet of the kingdom of Bansaim. There are few young people walking the road. Especially not many young men. It's not just because it's snowing that people don't walk.

The number of lights leaking from the building is also low. It was supposed to be Wang Du's Boulevard, but some shops were closing their doors and sticking paper.

It must be cold outside the window, but it had nothing to do with Ceres seeing what was going on outside from inside the room. Made of heater magic and warm in the room. The rape pier in your left hand is made to remind you of a wand with sheaths and patterns.

From the yellow treasure balls embedded in the pattern, voices were voiced toward Nitanita and Celes looking out the window.

"Heavy taxes on repeated wars. Plus, the bugs that work for you are fading. How about that?

Within the yellow treasure balls, unlike the blue treasure balls held by Lyell, there was only one person's consciousness. [Agrissa], who took over some of the memories of Septem, and sent the continent to hell - it is the yellow jewel whose record is inscribed.

"It's so much fun. But seeing you get so exhausted in just this long..."

Ceres gives a leaning, sad look. The golden hair is loosely wavy and hides the look of the leaning celes. Glowing hair and sad blue eyes - but Ceres' mouth angle creates a humble smile as he slowly lifts.

"... you're a real bug, aren't you? You know, talking about the capital of Bansaim or something, trying to destroy it to this extent. I want you to enjoy me more."

Agrissa was a little frightened. It's not what Ceres looks like now. Anyway, Agrissa was also formerly known as the Dungeon Beauty, etc. It is a being who has taken over the hard memories of Septem and has wielded his power for himself.

"I said I enjoy hurting jitters like I'm more jerky. Well, you're still young. It's good to have more room in your heart. It's just fun to watch Bansaim perish like this. '

It also seems fun for Agrissa to see Central, which is losing its vitality day by day. Anyway, it used to be hostile - not just.

Bansaim was under Agrissa. In other words, it is a lord nobleman of the region who followed Agrissa. Benefiting from it, he turned his back when the colour of the flag was worse.

When I was having a conversation with Agrissa, I used a room on the top floor of the castle. No one enters, just the two of us enjoying the conversation.

Ceres smiles and says as he remembers.

"That's right. Your father will be back from the realm soon. We need to get ready for a welcome. Your mother will stay with me, but your father can't stay with me forever because he has a job to do."

It is time to neglect your parents or hate your father furiously at your age. But Ceres had affection for her parents alone. It is the same for Agrissa.

'You did. Your father's busy. My father was a court nobleman at the end, but he did a lot for me... my brothers and sisters threw him out because he was in the way, but even after entering the rear house, he gave me a position and gave me back a lot of favors'

My parents are special - but not my brothers and sisters. It was an emotion that Ceres and Agrissa had in common. It's all affected by the memory of the goddess, too.

"It's a party, then we have a gift... and we need to get a new dress for your mother too!

The figure of Ceres, who speaks happily, was more like a child than a luster. Then I heard a knock in the room. When Ceres gave permission, it was Bert the Automaton who came in.

He's a butler type automaton, looking like a beautiful young man. Red hair and blue eyes are very pretty. Even if you see people you don't know, you'll think they're human.

"Dear Serres, the eastern side of Bansaim has been torn apart. It seemed like a huge defeat. The SS is also wiped out. You think Captain Bread lost his life, too? There have been 10,000 war deaths."

Celes smiled at Bart when he heard the report.

"Really? But I don't give a shit about that right now. Your father said there was always a way to win and lose. Besides, your father is coming to Central. To see me! So I have to give you a big welcome. Burt, he'll make arrangements."

He seemed uninterested. Bart gives a frightened look. Celeste would start torturing him on the spot. But Burt is an automaton. It's my favorite toy for Ceres because I can do my job.

"That's what I thought you'd say, so I've made arrangements. However, the Treasury is in a tough situation?

The treasury of Bansaim, a great power because of its luxurious life, and its continued war on a massive scale, was in a terrible situation. But Ceres doesn't care.

"I'm more of a father than that! Welcome your father, who is killing all the worms who do not obey me and your work!

To Ceres like that, Bart says.

"Has it affected the Bansaim ceremony? Below His Majesty the King, the royal family is looking forward to the participation of Serres."

Ceres leaned his neck.

"Huh? I'm not answering that. Why would he do that when your father was coming? Unbelievable! Rufus will never get in my bedroom!

Bart shrugged his shoulder. Objection to Serres' words.

"Haven't you ever been in a bedroom? As far as I know, and I hear it hasn't happened before. You can always say that when you have your favorite in your room."

Ceres looks angry. That's an angry look that looks so cute with bruises. Since Burt is an automaton, he is also allowed to be rude.

"Because... when I took it from that woman, I lost interest"

I heard laughter from within the treasure ball.

'It's fun until you take it away. Certainly a common story. I just really want to take something from you right now... but I think I'll be able to keep you around forever.'

Listening to Agrissa's voice, Ceres left the room looking happy while saying she was throwing a party for her parents -.

'You don't have to take it away...'

It was the third generation that was making such a voice out of within the treasure ball.

The kingdom of Rufence - a room in a castle undergoing renovation, was now my office. It was originally used by General Blower, but I have training for soldiers, so he pushed me to work.

The pile of paperwork in front of me was Rufence and Baim's report and Ms Adele's complaint. Not enough manpower. I don't listen to merchants. It is only the earliest stupidity, such as when residents mourn money in May.

It's me looking at those papers and stuff, but I didn't even have Monica in my room. Governance of Baym divided into North Baym and South Baym. Plus Rufence - I wanted to hold my head against an overwhelming shortage of talent.

The seventh generation is now.

'Well, usually there are a lot of people, such as territorial issues, or I think you can rule after a victory, so I'll attack you. If we have a solid ministerial corps, we can also rely on kinship to gather manpower to govern.'

The shortage of manpower has been exacerbated because of the poor acquisition of a large territory.

"... harder after you take it away or something"

If the fierce battle that followed the fierce war ended, there was a lot to be done after the war to deal with and new rule and so on. Moreover, Baym was not able to become such a ruler of a land that was controlled by merchants and adventurers guilds - usually with a ruling class.

When the door opened, there was Mr. Liane who would bring two Valkyries with him to bring additional documents. Her face smiles, but she also looks a little tired.

"Come on, Lord Lyell... it's your turn. Please process it."

Valkyries creates one new mountain after another on the desk they have prepared to put the paperwork down.

"Oh, that's why we're in a hurry."

That's what I'm gonna say. I'm gonna put the little mountain right in front of me, Mr. Liane. If I look in the face, I open my mouth to see what I'm trying to say.

"I'll tell you what, it's easy for me to look through, too. Exclude anything you don't need. This is the number. If you've become a ruler, you understand that's all that responsibilities and obligations arise, don't you? … and if you want to dominate the entire continent, the workload will not be at this level. We should now have an efficient way to govern."

I just had to snort at Mr. Liane's words. From within the treasure balls, the third and seventh generations are heard.

"Not a princess who knows how to govern a country on a boulder. I'm sure he has all kinds of know-how. '

'Seriously, you're seriously understaffed in terms of practice. Lyell, you... once you've got the continent, you've come out with the need to prepare a way to govern that you can inherit even willingly'

The rule of the country by heroes - it has fame and some easy aspects to do. However, when I try to lay down my money, I get a problem.

"... if I stay like this, I'll taste the first and second generation struggles at the same time."

The first generation to create a village in a place where there is nothing.

And the second generation that made such a first generation of remaining villages ready to continue later.

As the third generation impressed me.

'You've noticed well. If you two were here, you might have given me some surprisingly interesting advice. Well, we can't do it.'

Liane looked strange, so I said "nothing" and tried to get her to back off. But Liane won't back down.

"With that said, I heard it before I went in here first. You think there's a long gap after Lord Lyell's growth? Rumor has it you've got your hands on a new former Virgin?

"Oh, to whom! Or I haven't got my hands on it..."

Liane was looking at the Valkyries, who went straight into the office cleanup when she put the paperwork down.

"You guys!

Two Valkyries, put your hands on your mouth.

"Master, it's a pleasure. Pleasure. I was given made-up clothes and the tension got so high that I just talked the rumors out of my mouth. It just so happens that there was Master Liane there and no one else"

Valkyries, with faceless dark hair and red eyes, uses a core of made-to-measure automatons, formerly Monica's sisters. As a result, there seems to be something strongly thoughtful about made-up clothing.

With Liane laughing with her nose.

"I thought it was something when we suddenly talked about rumors in my room. Well, they say it's a matter of contacting everyone. Convenient, isn't it? This is quite a strength. Place the Valkyries all over the place and you'll have the information right away."

I sigh when I hear it.

"It feels like it's made of me. Even if we can use this for governance, it's not until my generation. So if you can, I'd like to find a way to govern without using it."

Competent automatons, but also problematic. Current interactions with distant opponents are realized using my skills [connections], which makes such interactions impossible if they are not.

In addition, the number of cores has been determined, and the current number is the maximum value even for mass production - even Damien cannot create a core.

Liane looked at my face and nodded several times.

"It's a good thing you're thinking about: Most importantly, it's all been since we won. It's just not the time to think only of your strength in boulders. You also need to have a bureaucrat or something who can do clerical duties. It is understaffed, so you may want to seek it from someone other than nobility. Because it's more important to us today to make up for it in numbers than to look for competent people."

I reached for the paperwork in a hurry and looked through it.

"Okay. Advance your education. You're ready to tell me, aren't you? I just want you to get confirmation first."

Liane had a slightly surprising look on her face.

"... that's not funny. I was going to surprise you. Oh, yeah."

When I looked up and wondered if I still had it, Liane looked serious.

"I didn't ask who I was going to make my real wife. Could you make a decision early?

When I drop the paperwork with a flashing look on my face, I hear a third generation of happy voices coming from within the treasure ball.

'That's right. I've been waiting for this to happen. I'm about the fourth generation happy with the plain work landscape, and I've been waiting for this hand to talk about it!

Seventh generation also in a serious tone.

'I can't believe it's the Princess of Fanbailles who can't move in tow... But I thought it would work around Galleria or Russowerth, or the Queen of Carthaphs. It was far-fetched. I feel like a bomb has been thrown in from an unexpected place.'

The third generation seemed the same.

'Neither do I. I thought this kid would move if he built some faction. Well, you can be drooling, but you can't just assassinate me, can you? Lyell, be careful there. "

No, isn't that the same thing you're saying, forgive me for doing anything unless I kill you? Or have you gotten used to it lately. The two of you are looking forward to my training ground.

... These guys suck.
