Chapter 563: The Paradragon Invasion
Apokolips - The Throne Room of Darkseid
Darkseid sat on his throne, His eyes glowed with the Omega Effect, but his gaze was distant, unfocused, as if he was watching something that no one else could see.
His voice was barely audible. "They are moving..."
Desaad appeared at the edge of the throne room, his hunched form trembling. Behind him, the Furies stood in silence.
"Lord Darkseid," Desaad said, his voice a dry rasp. "They are ready. Shall we unleash them to test their power?"
Darkseid’s eyes focused on Desaad, their glow intensifying. "Only on Earth for now." He paused. "And nowhere else. I want to see the full extent of their strength. And I want to see their defenses against it." He paused, his voice dropping to a whisper. "The Shadow will be there."
Desaad’s smile was thin, bloodless, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "As you command, my Lord." He paused before asking. "What shall we do with that traitorous Grail?"
Darkseid smiled. "She thinks she can use them in her own favor. We cannot spoil her plan now, can we?" He paused, his eyes burning with amusement. "Let her think she controls our Paradragons. For now, I believe she wants to use them to destroy Apokolips here, so she will not act while they are away." His voice dropped to a whisper. "Foolish daughter of mine."
"I found her little trap and managed to reprogram it, my idea was to send them to the anti-matter universe to deal with ther and the anti monitor. She still thinks she has full authority over them." His smile widened. "I like your idea more, my Lord." Desaad said.
"Then let us begin." Darkseid commanded.
Earth -
The sky tore open on multiple locations, across every continent, across every major city revealing the hellish glow of Apokolips beyond. Boom Tubes erupted like wounds in the sky, their edges crackling with orange light, their depths revealed the fire and fury of Darkseid’s domain, a world of eternal torment. The sound was deafening, a thunderous roar.
And from those tears, they emerged.
The Furies descended first, their forms silhouetted against the burning light of the Boom Tubes. Each one was a legend in her own right, Lashina, Stompa, Bernadeth, and the others, their names whispered in terror across the cosmos. They spread across the sky like a plague, each one leading a contingent of horrors.
Behind them came the Paradragons.
They were nightmares, a fusion of flesh and machiner, their wings beating with the rhythm of engines that had been forged in the furnaces of Apokolips. Their eyes glowed with fire, their maws dripping with flame. They were massive, each one the size of a building.
They descended upon Earth.

In The Batcave Batman stood before the Batcomputer, his eyes fixed on the screens that showed the monsters spreading across the globe. The images were relentless, cities burning, Paradragons tearing through skyscrapers, the Furies carving paths of destruction through the streets. His hands moved across the console with the precision of a master strategist.
"These are not the army of the Dragon Monarch." He paused, his eyes narrowing as he analyzed the patterns, the designs, the unmistakable signature of Apokoliptean engineering. "As expected, the stolen corpse of the dragon... he used it to create hybrids. The genetic material, the biomechanical integration, the weapon systems, all of it bears the mark of Darkseid’s work."
His voice hardened. "Bastard.."
He pressed a button, his voice carrying across the world, reaching every Hunter guild, every hero, every being who could fight.
"This is Batman. An army of Paradragons has emerged across the planet. They are attacking major cities. The Furies of Apokolips are leading them, I have already identified them." He paused, "I am sending a warning signal to all Hunter guilds. Immobilize immediately and meet this threat. This is not a drill. This is war. I repeat.. this is war."
Gotham City -
Raven stood on the rooftop of a skyscraper, Igris stood beside her guarding her, while her eyes fixed on the sky above. The Paradragons were descending upon Gotham, their forms silhouetted against the burning light of the Boom Tubes. The wind whipped her hair around her face, her dark robes billowing like wings, her hands raised and crackling with power.
"So this is what Grail was building. This is what she took that dragon corpse for. This is what she has been planning all along." She paused, her eyes narrowing with cold fury. "Darkseid... you will pay for this. You will pay for every life lost, every building destroyed, every moment of terror you have unleashed upon our world."
"Of that we promise you, my Queen." Igris said beside her.

Arthur’s Estate - The Sitting Room
George stood before the television, his hands clasped behind his back, his expression unreadable. The screen showed the devastation spreading across the globe, cities burning, Paradragons descending, hunters fighting. The images were relentless, a cascade of destruction that seemed to have no end.
His voice was concerned. "Lady Kara, I know what you are thinking.. you should not watch this. The sight of such devastation, such chaos, cannot be good for you in your condition. You must think of your health, of the child.."
Kara sat on the sofa, her hands resting on her belly, her eyes fixed on the screen. "I need to understand what we are facing."
"You are in no condition to fight, Lady Kara. We have plenty of heroes out there to deal with this threat and there is Arthur and his shadows." George said.
"I know." She paused, her eyes hardening. "But that does not mean I cannot watch." She looked at the screen, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I can’t just pretend that nothing is going on.."
"Then I will stay with you, Lady Kara. I will watch alongside you." George said calmly.

.
The Titans had assembled in the streets of Gotham, their forms silhouetted against the sky. Robin stood at the front, his sticks in hand, his eyes fixed on the Paradragons that were descending upon them.
"We hold the line. No matter what. No matter how many of them there are. No matter how powerful they seem." He paused, his eyes sweeping across his team. "This is our planet. This is our home, and we will not let them take it, Batman is working on a way to disable them, we just need to hold them off."
"We will not let them take our home. We will fight with everything we have." Stargfire said.
A Paradragon descended toward them, its maw open, its fire building.
Starfire’s eyes blazed with green light.
.
.
.
The Hunter guilds had mobilized, their forces spreading across the city, the Shadow Lanterns had appeared alongside them, their rings blazing with violet light.
The Shadow Lantern leader’s said calmly. "We fight for the Monarch. We fight for the fate of the universe, our future...all of it is at stake."
The Hunters responded with a roar of defiance.
"For Earth!"
The Furies descended upon the battlefield, their weapons carving through the air, their laughter echoing through the chaos.
Lashina said with amusement. "So this is Earth. Such a fragile world. Such a beautiful world." Her eyes gleamed with cruel satisfaction. "We will crush it like the insect it is. We will burn it to ash."
"For Lord Darkseid!" Stompa said.
Bernadeth’s voice carried the weight of absolute certainty. "For Darkseid. For Apokolips. For the glory of our lord."
They attacked.
In the Batcave, Batman stood before Batcomputer, working on a code to disable the Parademons, his eyes still glacning on the screens that showed the devastation spreading across the globe. "I even sent Superman and Martian Manhunter away... and Arthur..." He paused, his eyes narrowing. "Now where are you? Where are you when we need you most?"
