"Next, Lurii-Arventrot!

"Ha!"

The magic practice exam seemed like a target.

Five targets set up 30 meters away will be attacked in whatever order you like.

The description explained before the exam shows that up to ten magic shots can be used, but the less times it took to attack, the greater the damage dealt, the higher the score.

A way to test the foundations of long-range magic is arguably orthodox. There was something similar in the previous life.

It's just that the target is pretty big. It's so much harder to remove.

As long as the output is sufficient, you can quickly remember control to the extent that it is stopped. Does that mean more emphasis on qualities than the degree of completion at the moment?

My order, by the way, is once again next to Lurii's.

"Now attack the target with a firearrow"

"Yes!... O magic of fire full of my body, be a glimmer of arrows, and wear the enemy before me!

As instructed by the examiner, Lurii chanted and struck the firearrow as one of the targets.

To what extent is power or efficiency slightly stronger than Bifgel? Well, I guess that means it's hard to make a difference with chanting magic controlled on its own.

Even then, Lurii repeated the chant, attacking the five targets in turn and declaring the end.

Rules say you should be able to shoot up to ten shots, but they'll stop by this point.

Not a single target broke, but it seemed to be a satisfactory result in Lurii, who left the test site with a satisfied face.

"Next, Mathias-Hildesheimer!

One of the two examiners called my name.

"Yes!"

"Now attack the target with a firearrow"

I was also wondering when Lurii, why a firearrow.

At the time of the exam description, it should not have specified the type of magic used.

"Are you forbidden to do anything but fire arrows?

"That's not why, because it's the most basic and controllable magic -"

That's all I said. The examiner glanced at my crest and reworded it with a face that looked like he'd seen something pathetic.

"... don't be discouraged. If other subjects are good, you might be able to pass."

Somehow, they were talking on the assumption that I would fail.

Normally, I'm going to pass this exam.

"The point is, you just have to break the target, right?

"That's the thing...... do you get it?

"It won't arrive."

Indeed, the magic of the fourth crest has an extremely short range.

Thirty meters is full of grate and let it reach a third of that distance.

There's nothing wrong with the other crest if it's about 30 meters, so I can also say this exam is a fourth tattoo bully.

But that doesn't mean I can't pass the exam.

Just because you're a target, you don't have to hit magic.

"Bye -"

"Even if it doesn't arrive, the target can be broken.... By the way, Doctor, you should stay a little further away. I'll let you be oriented for once, but not entirely."

As I say, I begin to build magic.

It's more complicated and powerful magic than any other [magic strike] or fireball magic I've ever used in this world.

"Huh?"

"If you're about five meters away, I think you'll be safe first."

It's magic that is unusable in practice because it takes too long to build.

While I'm preparing to activate, I'm done for combat at a time when I can talk like this.

Besides, if it was me now, when they took most of the magic in one blow.

But that's enough to break through this exam.

The magical construction was just completed when the examiner looked surprised but avoided out of range.

"Well, I'll go...... duh!

Activate the magic I built and a giant magic formation will appear in front of me.

At the next moment the magic team started spinning and blasting flames out of the center.

A blast with huge calories blows all around me, dyeing my vision red.

Obviously excessive power to break that poor target.

But that's it. At any rate, this magical body has not reached its target. This flame range is ten meters at most.

I want to destroy the target with a magical aftermath.

Well, as a result...

"... that? Was it a little too much...?

I don't know what the target material is, so I combined the magic assuming it was around the misrill alloy for now, but I might have just overpowered it a little bit.

The target set up in the school yard disappeared without a trace, and I don't even know where the target was originally located.

Worse still is the school yard that was used as a testing ground.

Some of the ground is evaporated, melted or glazed, like a crater.

It's on a level that you can fix right away with magic, but this is kinda terrible.

"... that? That's crazy. What is this...?

I turned to the examiner to hear the test results, but the examiner is crushing his eyes, trying to slap himself on the head, acting suspiciously while crushing strange things.

I made the aftermath mainly to point in the direction of the target, and it should have barely arrived around the examiner... did I make any mistakes?

"Uh, are you okay?

I approach the teacher as I prepare to start restorative magic.

And from the magic reaction and so on, I will explore how my body is... I don't see any particular abnormality.

"It doesn't look okay. I see hallucinations. The magic of the disqualification crest creates a crater in the school yard, and you see hallucinations where the aim has all blown up. There were no more chants. Or eyes. My eyes have gone bad."

Doctor, that's not a hallucination.

"Dr. Reyes, I just heard a tremendous noise, but what the hell - what the hell!

The other examiners who have heard the sound will not be able to clean things up, and the story becomes even more confusing.

It took another hour or so before the noise subsided and my test results were determined.

By the way, you couldn't punish me or anything.

Apparently, I was fortunate that the rules of the exam didn't say 'Don't destroy the schoolyard'.

As for the school garden, I didn't sneak to leave it as it was, so I've been fixing it with the magic I had left.

I felt like the exam officers who saw it looked frightened, but let's not worry about it.

If I say something extra and get retested or something, there's nothing I can do about it that's out of magic.
