Lesson 50: The Strongest Sage, Hierarchy Selling Fights to the Lord

In challenging "Hierarchist," I first explored the surrounding terrain and the location of demons in [Passive Detection].

Essentially, the 'Hierarchist' is not able to defeat it alone.

In my previous life, I was a demon evaporated from labyrinth to labyrinth just by releasing proper magic from my present position, but my magical performance today is inferior to that of a common wizard in my previous life. Such a force is impossible.

No matter how much knowledge and experience you have, you'll need some ideas on how to defeat it.

I decide where to fight based on magic moves and terrain.

There are two conditions to be met on the battlefield.

The first is that there are as few routes leading there as possible.

When challenging "Hierarchist," it is fundamental to destroy all demons of the Hierarchy so that no other demons can interfere.

On top of that, they also break down the walls of the hierarchy to create a wide space so that a large number of people can fight at the same time.

But I can't use that method this time.

Destroying all demons of the hierarchy is only a case of a massive crusade.

It takes too much magic and time to wipe out all the demons in the hierarchy by myself. It's impossible.

For this reason, it is decided to narrow down the route to the battlefield, thus reducing the possibility of demonic intrusion.

If any other demon is about to intrude, they will perceive it in [passive detection] and take action.

The second is that there is breadth.

Disqualification marks are basically, the easier it is to fight in a narrow place, but when 'hierarchy owners' are opponents, they don't talk without room to dodge attacks.

Anyway, now I'm gonna die just because I ate a decent shot at the "Hierarchist" attack.

- Fortunately, we quickly found a place to match the conditions.

It's a large room, about 80 meters south of the corner where the Hierarchist is located.

I entered the room as I slit the neck of the demon on the street from one end to reduce the chance of the demon breaking into it.

The ground is flat and solid, the ceiling is high and there are only two routes leading to the room. That's ideal.

And thanks to the proximity of the distance, we have a clear idea of the type of 'hierarchy lord' that will be the enemy this time around.

This was called 'Arc Serpent' in a previous life, a giant venomous snake demon.

It's hard to handle as a material, but you're just the person you know.

- And so on.

"Come on, come on!

Together with the call, I activate [Forced Detection] against 'Hierarchist'.

Make Arc Serpent aware of my presence, with a few walls and a few dozen meters apart.

Shortly thereafter, from the direction of the arc salpent, a roar was heard.

I can see the magic reaction shown in [Passive Detection] pushing the shortest distance to me, ignoring the wall.

And roughly two seconds later.

Suddenly the wall on my front melted down and, along with the purple liquid, Arc Serpent appeared.

Purple liquid is a highly acidic venom, the biggest characteristic of Arc Serpent.

The venom doesn't get tired of just breaking the walls, until the floor, which should have much stronger resistance to acid compared to the walls, begins to melt, albeit slightly.

"... dude. Because there's a way there, don't break it just to get through..."

Thanks to this, the easy to fight terrain is ruined.

At least you don't trust the ground anymore.

It dissolves every shoe if you step on where the venom drops, and it is of little use as a scaffold because, assuming, where acid-resistant shoes are used, the ground itself becomes scurvy due to the effects of the venom. Even if the surface is safe, it's not uncommon for the inside to be eroded.

Instead of scaffolding, we'll just strain the junction magic for a moment, and we'll be fighting.

Moreover, the venom is volatile, so if you take too much time, it will even contaminate the air.

You can use it for combat, like, ten minutes at most.

Well, this is the first battle I've seen since I got this disqualification mark.

It'll be a short fight, but let's have some fun at best.
