The battle between the Fort Casper defense forces and the Separate Task Force came to an end.

While sounding the horn and drums, the separate squad launched a long-range attack by bow. I started...

"Dude, don't they even know the effective range of the bow? No matter how scared you are, you can't reach them from that far away."

"Oh, isn't it a bunch of amateurs who don't even know how to fight?

"Damn, but he seems to handle horns and drums well."

"Huh, I don't have a choice. I specialize in female soldiers here.

"You, you're going to teach Nani all the time!

The soldiers laugh holding their bellies. They had their faces stretched before the battle began, and it seems that tension has slipped through the Royal Army's crude attacks, too. Ensign Sisl, the commander, thinks the same thing, but he can't be laughing off like the soldiers.

"You guys, come on. The barista should be able to reach you even at this distance. Move to the counterattack now!

Sisl inspires. The soldiers hurried to move to the barista they were installing on the walls and started fighting back.

Meanwhile, a separate task force that is being mocked.

"All armies, retreat!

It retreats out of the effective range of the barista while preventing the flying arrows with a large shield. In no time, he starts to advance again and releases the bow from outside the effective range. I was even repeating that action.

"Hey, Ashton. Is this really a good idea? Sure, there's no soldier damage with this, but I'm sure the Imperial Army is laughing about us, huh?

Claudia asks as she checks the status of the war with her binoculars.

"As it were, well, maybe they do laugh. But if you win eventually, here's the laugh, so don't you mind?

Ashton answers swallowing with a shoulder clasp.

Ashton, promoted to Olivia as this temporary military mentor, was in command of a separate squad with Claudia.

"I know that, but as a knight I don't know what to do with this fight...... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ashton said.

Built in the early days of the Herd Mansion, the fort always seemed to exist a hidden passage for escape. Moreover, it is generally said that the exit leads to an ancient well in the near field. Conversely, if you break in from that ancient well, you can enter the interior of Fort Casper. From there, it is divided into two hands, one of which is internal disturbance (teasing).

Then, on the other hand, remove the front door (candle) by opening the gap due to the disturbance. If you remove it, a separate unit can enter Fort Casper without labor.

What we're doing now is just a demonstration that catches the enemy's attention.

"I don't think it's big enough to be a measure. 'Cause I know Olivia's strength, and that's why she's so unscrupulous."

Olivia is not here already. "Well, you're going for a bit," he waved loudly, following a hundred or so of his inflexible soldiers to the ancient well.

It's like even going for a walk in light footsteps.

"That's what I'm saying. In the first place, it is a measure that cannot be established without the knowledge of the fort. I can't even dream of an empire occupying Fort Casper with such a hidden passage. Anyway, we didn't even know who the original owner was."

"I still read and fished for ancient war history books. I'd be happy if this would improve everyone's chances of living. I don't want to die yet, either."

With that said, Ashton has a sticky grin. Seeing that smile, Claudia feels solemn. War takes people's lives too badly. Those who are next door today are not necessarily next door tomorrow.

I guess Ashton is still desperately trying to squeeze his wisdom and sacrifice a little less because he knows that too. Desperately indulging in the fear and desire to escape.

"─ Right. You can't just come this far and die easy."

Claudia waved down refreshingly and again gave instructions to retreat.

When separate teams are even dawning into demonstrations and attracting the eyes of the Imperial Army.

Olivia and the others, who discovered the ancient well without labor, had succeeded in sneaking into Fort Casper lightly.

"Captain Olivia. To be honest, I didn't think we'd be able to break in lightly."

Gaussian, a man with an arm like Marutai's eye - entrusted to the deputy captain of undercover operations - speaks to Olivia.

"Yeah. Thanks to Ashton for anticipating some place, too."

Olivia nods satisfactorily, stomping and crushing the rat crawling around her feet. A soldier who apparently watched it behind him made a small scream.

Currently Olivia and the others were walking down the aisle surrounded by stone walls with pine lights. Because of the passage originally built for escape, the road width is narrow and the air is precipitating. Even more like blocking a passage, massive spider nests strewn across multiple stretches.

At least, there were no signs of the Imperial Army using this passage.

"So, what do you do with the number of people? Is this still half the place without difficulty?"

Olivia gently shakes her neck to the side as Gaussian asks as she scratches the spider's nest.

"I've already decided that. I stir it up alone. Everybody take off the front gate and bring Claudia into the fort."

"Ya, do you mess with the captain alone!? Shouldn't we at least take about ten of them?

Soldiers around them nod in unison, as they affirm Gauss's words. Olivia, on the other hand, slaps Gaussian on the back lightly as she shows her white teeth.

"Haha, he said you don't have to worry. Besides, it's easy because I can wield my sword as much as I want to be alone. 'Cause I don't think I'm gonna kill everyone by mistake, but nothing's ever gonna happen."

Olivia gently strokes her hips sheath with a thin smile. Gauss laughed lovingly, just nodded. Because now that I had gone through the battle of the Plains of Illis, I knew in my bones that the word was neither vanity nor arrogance.

─ ─ An hour after Olivia and the others infiltrated.

"Apparently, we've arrived."

You can see the tip of Gaussian fingering, the smaller door.

"Then the Gaussians wait here thirty minutes. Then move on."

All right. - Captain, be careful.

"Yeah, thanks. I'm coming."

That's what Olivia says. Open the door. Then, with a gentle flow of air, a thin passage appeared in his eyes. Moving his gaze back, he realizes that a slight light is leaking. Keep moving forward guided by that light and try to push what looks like a wall in front of you. The wall twirled and pushed Olivia straight out.

"Heh, it's kind of like the Karakuri Mansion I read about in a book and it's funny -!

When Olivia is alone, she looks around again. Apparently, a storage room that hasn't been used in a long time. Even from the way dusty baggage is loaded, that's obvious. As I walked out of the room quickly and down the corridor for a while, I met one Imperial soldier.

"Hey, where is the Commander-in-Chief here now?

The soldier shows a frightened face against Olivia, who speaks easily.

"What? What are you talking about? His Excellency Osvanne will be in the midst of a battle against the Royal Army in the Plains of England. Are you all right with your head?

"What are you talking about over there? Mr. Osvanne is already dead. I want to ask you about the greatest man here and now."

"His Excellency Osvanne is dead? What the hell are you... what unit are you from?

Flipping from his frightened face, the soldier turns his sharp gaze to Olivia.

"Where is it? It's a separate team."

"Separate team...... wait a minute!

The soldier's gaze stared at Olivia's shoulder. The cup and the lion's crest were engraved on his shoulder.

"You!? Kingdom Gu-"

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no."

Olivia quickly smashed the soldier's jaw with her left hand, poking a pitch-black sword through his chest. Throw away the pimpled and cramped soldier and the metal noise hits the wall thrives.

"─ Who's making a scene?... hey, what are you doing!?

A soldier shows up from the corner of the hallway shouting. Seeing how it was, Olivia exhaled a great deal.

"Ah. I was going to kill you first from a great guy in the corner. Will this happen in the end?"

As the soldiers continued to gather, Olivia slowly began walking towards the soldiers.

A black sword rises from a pitch-black sword.
