Chapter 1105 - 1101: A MOTHER’S DESPERATION & CRY
"I won’t beat around the bush with you. I am not sure whether you know about my family or the situation that we are currently in, but I want you to know that I didn’t try to get you here for a joke. My invitation was very sincere and more of a desperate cry of a mother who truly needs help," humbling herself, Lim Ji-soo didn’t put on any airs but spoke from the heart.
She didn’t know or understand why her friend would direct her to Diamond of all people, but the fact that she did, meant that Diamond has means to help her. Even if the hope was small, she was willing to hold onto it.
Diamond, wasn’t someone who likes beating around the bush as well, especially when a life was as stake. Moreover, she didn’t have much time to play hide and seek, when she has so much in her rooster to do.
"I have an idea. We are here because of your son," she directly answered, not bothered to conceal that she knew from the other.
Lim Ji-soo’s eyes quivered, shocked at the fact that Diamond knew. If she wasn’t mistaken, Diamond wouldn’t have known about her until this very day. Just how did she know?
Diamond didn’t care what was going through the older woman’s mind. All she cared about was getting the job done, and hopefully, get something in return. It wasn’t like she was doing all this for free, right?
"Your son is in a suspicious coma, and if you want me to help you. I will do my best. However, I will need to see your son first and see what problem is ailing him. If it’s something that I can help with, I will help but if not, then I will be honest about it," Diamond didn’t see any need to give the mother a glimmer of hope.
If she fails, wouldn’t she shatter her heart?
She might as well be brutally honest about it from the start.
Lim Ji-soo completely erased the suspicion and curiosity regarding how Diamond seemed all-knowing. Her ears caught the part about her eagerness to help. That made her heart flutter with joy.
She looked eagerly at Diamond, her eyes almost shimmering with tear of joy and gratitude as she said, "Please, just help us. I promise you that as long as he wakes up, even not, just coming here and trying to help is already good. I will pay you anything. Just tell me what you want and I will do my best to give it to you."
There was no such thing as free lunch and she wouldn’t want it either, especially when her family is involved. She would rather repay the other with something of great value or owe a favor than to have the deed done for free.
Diamond didn’t seem upset with that but rather, she was quite happy about it.
She couldn’t help but think about a certain need of hers that cropped up once she saw this residence. When Madam Lim talked about payment, that came to her mind straight away.
"I will do my best to treat your son. And if I manage to treat him and wake him up, if you want to repay me, then help me get a house. I might not come here as frequently as possible, but I really do love your country so much, otherwise, I wouldn’t have come here again and again. So, help me get a place," she spoke sincerely.
It wasn’t like she couldn’t do it, but she didn’t have time to do it. Moreover, every country has its own procedures. Although there was Andrea to help, who knows how long such procedures would take?
Besides, having a local helping her would make the process smoother, and also, they can build connections and not let it look like a one-off thing.
When Lim Ji-soo heard that, she was quite surprised as she didn’t expect that Diamond would ask for such a small thing. Getting a house was so easy and nothing special about it. However, that also made her feel warm and touched. It was as if Diamond didn’t want to cause them trouble or look as if she was trying to hold onto them.
Inwardly, she promised to look deeper into what she likes and get her more of that. It wouldn’t be bad to remain acquainted after that.
Not knowing what the old lady was thinking, Diamond continued, as she felt that there was no best time than the current.
"How about we go and see him now? The sooner we do this, the sooner I can also rest. I have a busy schedule ahead of me."
That pulled Lim Ji-soo out of her reverie.
"Yes, yes. Please follow me!" with a tremble in her voice, she eagerly said as she rose to her feet.

He was even more enticing in person than on the screen.
’This one! I must have!’ she secretly vowed as she hungrily looked at the young man, the room filled with silence.
Fortunately, Lim Ji-soo was standing a distance away and didn’t see Diamond’s gaze, otherwise, the mother’s poor soul could have flown away.
Now comes the problem. What kind of illness was the handsome man having?
It seems that she needed to summon a skill she hasn’t used in a very long time - fortune telling. This was a skill she got by upgrading the random prediction skill.
