Chapter 1110 - 1106: JEONG YOUNG-JAE’S GRATITUDE & INFATUATION
His oldest sister, the one who is currently 47 years old, she is married to her husband of more than twenty-years and the two have three children, with the oldest son already about to get married and start his own family.
His sister’s first born and him, they were three years apart. His oldest sister Jeong Soo-Yeon’s son was three years apart with him. They were more of cousins than uncle and nephew thanks to the small age gap between them.
The second sister, the third born of the family, since the second born is his oldest brother (Jeong Seung-Min) and the one who is currently running the family business, is 41 years old – Min-ji.
Jeong Min-i is also married to her husband of fifteen years and have two children, with the oldest being thirteen.
There is Jeong Yong-Hwan, who is the fourth child of the family, who is 39 years, and the first daring member of the family who fell in love with a foreigner and married her. The couple lives full time in another country, though they usually visit almost every year.
The third sister, Jeong Na-Young, who is the fifth child of the family, and the one above him is 37 years old. She got married late and took in a live-in son-in-law when she was around thirty. The two now have a child who happens to be seven and doted on.
All his siblings, there is no one who is a home buddy. All of them works. They either work for themselves or help with the family business like the oldest and second sister. Third sister is a divorce lawyer, who for some reason didn’t believe in love and pursued her career in helping people divorce until she met her current husband and fell in love.
Anyway, his siblings truly cared for him. So, knowing their worry, even when Diamond came to help and save him, he didn’t feel any rage towards them but gratefulness.
In their families, some were only maintaining faces but were already enemies. He didn’t want to have a strained relationship with his siblings because of money-related issues.
As a son, and the youngest, growing up, he was also afraid that his oldest brother might seem him as a thorn and try to get rid of him. The sisters might not seem like threats but him, that would be different. Fortunately, he was never interested in the business but became fond of being in the spotlight, thus her entry into the entertainment industry and he never regretted the hustle of spotlight.
But who would have known that this spotlight will attract enemies and jealousy that some unconvinced person would try so badly to kill him in such a ruthless way?
If Diamond hadn’t found out, or she wasn’t powerful enough, he could have died miserably and have no place to vent out his grievances.
The pain of being able to hear but couldn’t speak to comfort his family not to worry. The feeling of being trapped in a nightmare, and fight with all he has and yet remain unable to defeat it. It was simply so suffocating but he didn’t want to give up at all. Giving up meant leaving this world for real. How could he want that?
He hasn’t even reached the stage he wanted. He hasn’t even dated that much or married someone to settle down with. Although, he wasn’t in a hurry to marry and settle down, he is someone who wanted children as well.
One day, he was going to have them and give his family a peace of mind, but with this curse, he almost didn’t even get to say his goodbyes. Can you imagine how devasted and horrible he was feeling all the time?
But that all changed when he heard her voice. It was soothing and it pulled him back from the jaws of those beasts that wanted to devour him. Her voice guided him from the pits of hell and took him to a brighter path which enabled him to finally walk out of that nightmare, his life getting saved.
While walking on that long bright path, the shadows and the mangled spirits that always haunted him endlessly were all shattered one by one. He watched as they vanished, letting out screams of anguish, and filled with reluctance.
When they were no longer surrounding him, the door finally opened and he stepped right out of it returning to the world of living.
Seeing his mother and sisters crying tears of joy, and then the voice of his father and brother as they celebrated his awakening, he couldn’t help but smile happily as well.
At the same time, he couldn’t help but recall a debt he was already owing that was imposed on him when he was still unconscious.
Thinking about the dinner date and how she called him darling, Young-Jae’s eyes sparkled as he watched the livestream, alone in his room, sometime after the doctor checked him and everyone was convinced that he was fine and could be left alone.
Looking at her as she smiled mischievously on the screen while talking to her fans, he found himself muttering, "you provoked me darling. Don’t mind me when I latch myself onto you!" his eyes darkening, and possessive glint flickering in his eyes.
When it comes to the matter of the heart, it all comes down to one thing for him – desire.
He must desire that person and wants her so badly. That was his current feeling. From the moment she became his knight in shining armor and he became the damsel in distress, he felt that urge to repay the debt of life with his body.
From the way she was teasing and flirting with him, he could tell that she was interested, though he didn’t exactly understand why she was interested when already taken?
However, that wasn’t a problem. He was very open minded, and what he wants, he always gets even if it means wronging himself for a bit.
He just needed to find a way to ascertain himself in her life, and the rest will flow smoothly without fail.
Just thinking about the future, a sly smile appeared on his face as he gently traced her beautiful features.
