Chapter 1108 - 1104: THE JEONG’S DAUGHTERS
Diamond was in a wonderful mood as she was driven back to the hotel. She couldn’t help but wonder what happened after she left. After all, she could tell that Madam Lim’s children didn’t exactly like the idea of her invitation.
Fortunately, the older lady was intelligent enough not to let them confront her, otherwise, it would have ended badly.
But what she knows was the fact that her future man would be waking up even before she arrives at the hotel. It wasn’t like he was ever asleep, anyway.
And she was right on that assumption.
When she left, Madam Lim Ji-soo finally met her children who were quite furious about this attempt of hers.
"Mother, how could you just invite someone so easily like that? Have you forgotten how much money we have been scammed and the humiliation of being used?" the third daughter, also the fourth child complained, her heart feeling the pain recalling how it hasn’t been easy these past two months.
The first daughter, also the first born of the family looked at her mother as she voiced out her own opinion.
"Mother, even if you are desperate, you can’t just summon some internet influencer. What does that person know?"
As their parents’ children, they love their parents, and siblings very much. Despite being girls and having no share in the family’s inheritance, at least succession as they owned shares and gets dividends every time, and also head departments with utmost care, that didn’t mean that they wished ill for their youngest brother.
They were eager to see him waking up and they have been trying for two good months and nothing was happening. So why would their mother suddenly trust a nobody and put their brother’s life in danger like that?
Lim Ji-soo felt exasperated as she got bombarded by her children. She didn’t feel offended by their accusations, for she understands and feel what they were feeling. They have suffered so much in the past few months that hope was starting to get lost. But as long as there was a glimmer of it, she was willing to take it.
Recalling what Diamond had told her before she left, she took in a deep breath and looked at her three daughters.
"Darlings, I do get your frustration but I will never do anything that will harm Young-Jae. How about I tell you what happened first and then you can judge?" she calmly spoke, looking at her daughters, knowing that by being too aggressive, it will never end well.
The three daughters, who were aged 47, 41 and 38, already having their own families looked at their mother without saying a word. Seeing her so calm, they knew that their mother has her own plans and perhaps, they might have judged her quite early.
So, they relented and sat down with her, ready to understand why she did what she did before their brother and father returned home.
Once they were seated, Lim Ji-soo shared everything with her daughters. They all cared, nd she understands. There was no need for her to hide this from them.
When the three heard the whole story, they looked dumbfounded at her.
"Mom, are you for real?"
Why did that sound so fictional and not real?
Lim Ji-soo sighed deeply as she looked at her daughters and earnestly responded, "I wish I was joking but my good friend indeed referred me to her. Trusting my friend, I used my connections to get in touch with her. I don’t think that she is a charlatan. She is not that bored to go around fooling people like that.
Moreover, by now, if what she said is true, then your brother should be waking up."
When she said that, the daughters still wary and not believing Diamond in particular, looked at their mother with anticipation in their eyes.
"Mother, how about we check the surveillance first? Or perhaps go and check on brother?" one of them suggested, and that awaked Lim Ji-soo.
She quickly took out her phone and with familiarity tapped the phone until she was looking at the screen.
"Is there something?"
Lim Ji-soo shook her head, as her son wasn’t moving. Just sleeping normally like he was earlier.
There was a collective sigh of regret before another daughter spoke, "how about we head over there and wait? Who knows, he might wake up soon."
"Yeah, hopefully that will happen."
"What if he doesn’t wake up? Are we going to deal with her for lying and wasting our time?" the youngest daughter suddenly spoke up, her tone tinged with complaint.
However, her mother’s response stunned her.
"Hehe, deal with her? Darling, there are some people who can’t be dealt with easily. A single mistake and our family is gone. Besides, she didn’t even take any payment. What can we do to her? If you are doubting, why not search for her online and see her wonderful deeds?"
Lim Ji-soo was no fool. It was her first time meeting Diamond, and her first time meeting her, and yet in a few hours, Diamond already knew about what shouldn’t be known. Such a network was simply scary. Who knows what else she knows?
Families like hers were never clean. She had seen how those who offended her never received a good ending. What if her tech savvy buddies decided to pass by her family for a visit and air the family’s dirty laundry?
Where would she put her face?
Wouldn’t she regret it?
Hearing their mother saying that, the three sisters became even more curious about Diamond and felt eager to learn more. By the time they did, all they had remaining was sheer curiosity and eagerness to meet in person.
They have fallen in a trap that they won’t be able to save themselves from.
Who would have known that there were such people like that?
With their curiosity being piqued, the four ladies made way to Young-Jae’s courtyard, and as they stepped inside, they came across a flustered maid, whose joy couldn’t be contained.
"Madam, Mistresses, thank goodness you are here," she exclaimed cheerfully as she halted her tracks. With a trembling body, that seem to be shaking so much as if it would collapse any second, excitedly added before the four of them could even ask what was going on and why she was losing all the decorum.
"The young master .... He .... He is awake!"
Boom!
And the world went dark suddenly.
