Chapter 896: An Eyecatching Carriage
A month later...
The flying ship that carries the Moon Goddess, the Immortal Sun Emperor and the Tan family is finally seeing the gates that lead to the Inner Haven of the Immortal World. They didn’t choose to disembark near the gates itself; instead, they had anchored their flying ship a hundred meters away from the gates and were prepared to pretend to be ordinary cultivators. Not the famous like where their dao titles screams their fame and strength.
They had chosen a desolated location within the forest area within the Inner Haven’s territory. After the flying ship had landed, everyone stepped down one by one. Yue Xuexia descended with Shen Jueyang leading her carefully. The two chose to wear low keyed ancient robes with simple patterns as well.
The Moon Goddess is wearing white-black robes with white lotus flower design at its edges. It didn’t have many patterns yet it looks exquisite, clean and simple. Moreover black robes made Yue Xuexia’s slender body more thin and smooth. Her long black hair was half tied with a braid and a dangling white lotus hairpin was placed on the messy bun. This design had actually matched the lotus flower on her forehead. Even though she looks expressionless and a cold beauty, half of her face is covered with a thin white veil. Her phoenix shaped eyes can hardly make her obsidian irises uncommon even though black and brown eyes are the most common in the Immortal World.
On the other hand, the Immortal Sun Emperor was unlike his usual flamboyant red-gold robes, this time he is wearing black-white robes which are a paired color to what Yue Xuexia is wearing. The design on his robes weren’t the usual dragon shaped patterns that screams majesty, instead its simply a bamboo pattern design using black thread to embroider it. His crimson hair was dyed with black shade, tied up with a white jade crown into a high ponytail. His crimson eyes as if painted with blood itself were now full of gentleness as he looked at the Goddess of the Moon near him. Right now he didn’t look like the unapproachable Emperor who controlled the sun but just a young man who looked like an ordinary sword cultivator guarding the beautiful young lady beside him.
Once the last person had stepped down from the flying ship, Xue Renxue had taken the flying artifact back to his space ring.
Tan Shengyu approached his master and asked, "Are we going on foot towards the gates, Master?"
"No. If we do, the guards at the gates will treat you as weaklings and ask you to pay high toll fees," said the Immortal Sun Emperor.
The Moon Goddess said, "If that’s so then let’s use the carriage Qiu... The one I have in hand."
Almost mentioning about the system which is only known by her and Shen Jueyang, she immediately pretended that she hasn’t spoken something the others shouldn’t know just now. With a wave of her hand, a luxurious carriage that screams wealth and power appeared before the group. The carriage itself was large enough to fit their group and still have a space for a few more people to seat one. It was decided that Tan Shengyu and Xue Renxue would play the role of the drivers. In front of the carriage are six, none sentient lesser fire phoenixes.
"Wow~ are those phoenixes!?" exclaimed Xue Renxue.
Tan Bingyu observed and said, "It doesn’t seem like they are sentient."
"They might not right now. But it was unknown what would happen in the future," said Shen Jueyang as he helped Yue Xuexia up to the carriage. "If the guards ask for something just show the tokens on your waists."
After saying this, Tan Shengyu looks at the token given by his master with the Sun motif and his Mistress’s token with the Moon motif on his son-in-law’s waist.
Tan Shengyu asked, "Master, will this red token be enough? We don’t need to pay at the gates?"
"No one dares to ask for a toll under my authority. Let’s go. We still need to buy a house in the Inner Haven," said Shen Jueyang from inside the carriage.
Tan Shengyu and Xue Renxue sat at the driver seat and the carriage moved with just a command from anyone inside of it. Of course, this is only possible because Yue Xuexia is currently inside the carriage as well. If she is not around those who tried to enter the carriage without permission will be burned down by the phoenixes pulling the carriage. This is a carriage that can fly, though not as long and far as a flying artifact using it as a mode of transportation within the city or something similar.
After the carriage had taken off, Tan Shengyu and Xue Renxue noticed that some people riding normal carriages pulled by horses and other spiritual beast using the land route and some are riding on other flying artifact like a leaf boat or big spiritual beasts’ back leisurely yet intentionally avoided the carriage the Moon Goddess own due to its majestic presence.
Tan Shengyu said, "Hm? Why are they avoiding our carriage?"
"If you were on their feet, suddenly seeing a luxurious carriage pulled by true phoenixes, what would you have done?" asked the Immortal Sun Emperor.
Tan Shengyu blinked and answered instinctively, "Stare and avoid bumping it. I don’t have money to pay for it if I accidentally scratch it."
Pfft!

The first one was the others inside the carriage while the second one was Shen Jueyang. Yue Xuexia just let out a small smile.
"Barely accepted as an answer. Forget it that will do for now," said the Immortal Sun Emperor. "So now you know the answer why they stay away. It’s to avoid trouble from the unknown and mysterious."
"We will still be blocked at the gates. Just follow as Jueyang told you to do before," said the Moon Goddess.
Tan Shengyu and Xue Renxue both responded, "Yes, Mistress!"

On the other hand, after their carriage had flown away from those who were startled by their passing, they unintentionally halted their own action, waiting for such an important looking carriage to pass by. A group of young disciples from the Black Cloudy Academy were riding a huge white feathered eagle with the strength of Early Godking realm with one elder in lead telling them to not make any abrupt movement or speak.
Only after the carriage pulled by the phoenixes disappeared from their sight, the elder who had respectfully lowered his head like the others who had noticed the two powerful auras coming from the carriage finally raised their head.
Sigh~
"Elder Fan, do you know who was on that carriage?" A disciple asked.
The senior leading this group is an elder who looks barely in her early thirties, a mature lady who possessed the strength of Early God King realm.
Elder Fan only moves when that overbearing presence is gone. The Immortal Sun Emperor intentionally didn’t hide his realm being at Emperor and those at Godking realm can sense it. Though he had made it so his aura wouldn’t affect those who are weaker than him, it also made it easier for those close to his realm to sense what stage he is.
"There is at least one emperor realm cultivator in that carriage just now. Not blocking their path was to show respect to the powerful and avoid offending them," said Elder Fan as she pats her ample chest feeling her erratic heartbeat calming down.
The two female disciples with her were shocked with what they learned. In fear they looked around and those who were near them had already overheard what their elder had said. Their faces also showed the expression of fear.
Elder Fan mumbles, "A carriage pulled by lesser phoenixes. I wonder who was inside?"
Somewhere within the crowd someone was watching somewhere hidden from the eyes of others suddenly smiling as if seeing something extremely entertaining and left after disappearing within the crowd.

At the gates which is also the real entrance to the Inner Haven main city. Countless people were waiting in line just so they could enter inside. However, this line was suddenly dispersed when everyone saw an incoming luxurious carriage pulled by phoenixes. Just the fact that they are seeing real phoenixes pulling a carriage like servants they can only move away.
"Damn! Are those phoenixes!? Real ones!"
"There are six of them. How can they make them be willing to pull a carriage for them!?"
"If the Ice Phoenix Divine Beast race sees this, they would explode in anger on the spot!"
"Shss~ watch your mouth. Do you think someone who does this had an ordinary background?"
"Move. Don’t block the path!"
The carriage was blocked at the gates by a dozen guards. Tan Shengyu and Xue Renxue were forced to halt the carriage as blades were pointed towards them.
"Stop! Come out for inspection!" The captain among the guards said.
Tan Shengyu stopped the guard from surrounding the carriage and pulled out his two jade tokens. One from his master and the other from his mistress.
"How dare you stop the carriage of our Mistress!? Open your eyes wide and look at these tokens!" he said.
The token with sun and moon shaped appeared before the guards and they were all instantly terrified to death. There is no way they do not recognize these two jade tokens.
