Chapter 911: Purge
With the real owner of the Pill Tower speaking, the Pill Tower Master Han Siyu can only guide the Divine Doctor and her group to the building. Not many people had seen it but it was easy for someone within the tower to spread the news. It didn’t take long that news about the Pill Tower Master welcoming a young lady to the Pill Tower had spread in the Inner Haven. The others mistaken them as his illegitimate granddaughter, someone says she is his young mistress and other ridiculous rumors that she is a big shot that the Pill Tower Master had invited for the Alchemy Battle which would happen after three months.
The appearance of the Moon Goddess took everyone in the Pill Tower surprised. Of course, this is because they thought that their Tower Master had indeed gone insane or something else. If not for that would he bring a young lady and her group to his office just after the contract with the heavens was signed.
In the Pill Tower Master’s Office...
Yue Xuexia sat at the grandest position with Shen Jueyang by his side while all of her subordinates were seated on the opposite side of her chair. It took a whole hour before the Moon Goddess finished reading and the report in her hand was taken away by Shen Jueyang who was acting like her assistant.
"Alright before we begin the reorganization of the tower. Let’s begin a purge first. Starting now, the whole tower will be locked down and no one can leave without this Empress’s permission." The Moon Goddess said.
With a snap of her finger the whole Pill Tower was suddenly covered into an isolation array. Something that prevents anything or anyone inside the building from leaving or contacting anyone from the outside. Everyone in the tower felt the changes almost immediately.
Yue Xuexia said, "Han Siyu, command everyone that they are not allowed to leave the tower without permission as we are purging for spies within the tower."
"Yes, Divine Doctor!" Pill Tower Master Han Siyu clasped his hand in response before disappearing from the office.
Suddenly his voice echoes in the whole Pill Tower saying the following words,
{Spies had been found within the tower. Everyone is not to make unnecessary moves or try to leave the tower. The purging will now begin!}
The Immortal Sun God looked at Hei Yu and said, "Order your people to kill all those who made a move to escape."
Hei Yu glances at his mistress, Yue Xuexia nods her head at him and he immediately commands his people hidden in the shadows and are now within the tower to start killing those who made their moves.
[Kill those who made a move without question asked.]

The moment this announcement was heard, everyone in the tower heard it. Those who had hidden agendas made a move to escape as it was unknown if the exposed spies included them. Unfortunately for them, the whole tower was locked down before the announcement was made. Adding the killing command from the King of Assassin, his subordinates all made a move and started killing. They had been tasked to observe everyone in the Pill Tower and find those with made a move to escape and kill them on the spot without mercy even when the other people from the tower witnessed the killing, they didn’t care at all and then once again disappeared within the shadows as if they never existed in the first place.
Thus, the real purging had begun. Pill Tower Master had been watching the whole thing with his divine consciousness. He didn’t realize that half of his friends and subordinates were actually spies and was devastated by this result. He let out a tired breath and he looked as if he had aged a few years.

"I never expected they would betray me like this. Haven’t I treated them well enough?" Pill Tower Master Han Siyu mumbled with a fatigued and sad expression on his face.
The Moon Goddess said, "Greed, once not controlled, would drag you to hell. The choice is whether to listen to it or not. But this is the world of cultivators, only the strong strive. One wrong choice can mean death. Do not blame yourself for someone else’s choice."
"...Thank you for your words, Divine Doctor," said Han Siyu as he bowed his head slightly towards the busy Moon Goddess at her table.
It was unknown what she had been writing the whole time as for the rest of them they can only wait for the purging to finish. It actually didn’t take long for the purging to be done and Hei Yu had returned to the office after his subordinates had reported they had done their mission and once again retreated to the shadows.
Hei Yu said, "Mistress, Lord Shen, the purging has been done."
"Good work," said the Immortal Sun Emperor to Hei Yu before moving his eyes to Han Siyu who had instinctively flinched under this man’s gaze. "Han Siyu, gather those who are still alive. They should fit in this office. We will go to the second round of cleaning, this time there is no killing so you don’t have to worry."
"Follow his commands," said Yue Xuexia while not moving her eyes and attention to the things she is doing on the table.
"Yes, Divine Doctor!" Han Siyu responded.
Pill Tower Master followed the Divine Doctor’s command and clasped his hands before the man standing beside his mistress. Unknown to him, this man is one of the most fierce Immortal Emperors in the Immortal World and he is ignoring him like this, prioritizing the words of the Moon Goddess above all. However, this also shows that he is a person of loyalty.

Those alchemists who arrived, just a few, were close friends of Han Siyu, their disciples and some elders who were loyal to the tower.
When everyone entered the Pill Tower Master’s office, they were stunned to see a few people they couldn’t recognize and the most surprising one was that a young couple was seated at the chair which their Tower Master usually sits in. Two of the remaining close friends of Han Siyu were still alive even after the purging but the other two were killed. Those who were alive are called Lao Li and Lao Su. Both were eight-grade alchemists just a level lower than Han Siyu.
Lao Li and Lao Su went beside Han Siyu as soon as they spotted him. They started whispering in his ears.
"Lao Han, what is truly happening here?"
"Are these the people who started that killing just now? Not only did they kill Lao Lin and others, even then my young disciple was killed by them!" said Lai Su with anger within his eyes.
Hei Yu couldn’t help but speak up when he saw this old man’s reaction.
"Isn’t your disciple one among the fastest to escape when the announcement from your Pill Tower was made?" He said, "It seems that as soon as he learned that the whole tower would be locked down, he was the first one to bail out. Because as a spy, he knew that he would be killed once he was exposed. Do you still think that he is your disciple?"
Lao Su bit his lower lips in a controlled rage. Even though he likes that disciple of his, he is not stupid enough to turn blind eyes to the truth. His disciple before he made a move to run away was talking with him in his tea room before bolting off. Before he could even make a move, an assassin appeared out of nowhere and started executing people. He failed to react to save this cheap disciple of his.
Lao Li asked, "Excuse me? Can you tell us how you differentiate the people so we can avoid accepting his kind of spy all over again."
"It’s simple. Those who ran and tried to escape after the announcement were all spies. Every single one of you has been under observation since I first came to see your Pill Tower Master," said Hei Yu.
