At the Black Cloud Academy...

The academy is like an ancient sect but unlike the floating island or separated mountain peak, the whole academy was located at the connected mountain range. In the academy, there aren’t peak masters, there are only teachers. Students can choose classes to enter every semester. If a student wants to focus on one subject they can choose a teacher and if the teacher accepts this student, the latter would become that teacher’s apprentice.

Wu Zhou and his two subordinates had returned to the academy to share what they had seen and experienced all day. Wu Zhou left the reporting to his subordinates and he left to find his brother to tell him that he had found his disciple.

"You two share everything to the others about the Pill Tower," said Wu Zhou. "I want to visit my brother."

Principal Wu Zhou only looked at the other teachers and greeted them before walking away. No one stopped him as he took his leave. It was only after he had left that the other teachers had surrounded the two men that left with Principal Wu Zhou to check the Pill Tower.

"You went to the Pill Tower, what happened there?"

"I heard that a lot of powerhouses had surrounded the tower. Is it true?"

"I heard the Yun Clan had also appeared. Is it true?"

The two subordinates got grabbed and asked multiple questions that they almost swirled all around people. However, by the time the day ended almost everyone in the academy heard about what happened at the Pill Tower. There is also the fact that everyone learned how the new owner of the Pill Tower asked someone to massacre everyone who had surrounded the Pill Tower within a certain range. How they were caught in a trap formation that prevented them from escaping and how even false emperor realm cultivators had died under one person’s blade.

What made it exciting is that the owner of the Pill Tower seems to be a descendant of the extinct Ancient High Elf Race, the kind who possessed a royal bloodline and something that should no longer exist after all the World Tree was burned down. Everyone who heard everything was surprised by the events that unfold on that day. There is also the fact that a kind of rumor spread in the Inner Haven saying that the Tree of Knowledge eats the corpses of intelligent races to bore fruit. Unfortunately, the corpses of those who died that day barely allowed the Tree of knowledge to bear a proper fruit and only small size unripe fruits grew from it.

Meanwhile at the main mountain peak...

Wu Zhou had once again come over to the mansion where his big brother is resting. When he had arrived at the mansion, the countless physicians and healers were moving around as usual. There is no chaos and instead they were very steady as if they had gotten to this kind of repetitive work of watching and checking on the first master’s state.

"Welcome back, Second Master!" The doctors and servants in the mansion greeted.

Wu Zhou nodded in response to their group greeting and asked, "How is my brother? Is he awake now?"

"Answering to the Second Master, the Eldest Master had just finished drinking his medicine. It would take awhile before the medicine takes effect and the Elder Master falls asleep," a healer answered.

Wu Zhou said, "I want to see my brother. Will it be alright?"

"As long as the Eldest Master didn’t get stressed or overly excited or angry, the second master can see the Eldest master," a physician responded.

With the permission from the doctor, Wu Zhou entered his brother’s room and saw his elder brother had just finished eating a small bowl of congee when he entered.

Wu Yao said, "You’re here again. How is work?"

Wu Zhou gestured for the others to leave the room of his elder brother. When there were only the two of them, he started talking. Sensing the seriousness of the situation, Wu Yao didn’t stop his younger brother from sending the people away. Only when they were alone in the room and his brother had sat empty beside the bed did the brothers start talking.

"Brother, what I am about to tell you might shock you and the doctor warned me you cannot be overwhelmed with emotions. So I want to warn you now so you won’t lose control of yourself," Wu Zhou said while looking at his brother worriedly.

Wu Yao nodded his head and even ate a heart calming pill to make sure he would lose control of himself.

He said, "Alright. I’ve drunk the pill you can speak now."

"Brother, I have found your disciple, Yuelei Xuexia. If nothing goes wrong, I will meet her tomorrow and I will ask her to see you if she agrees," Wu Zhou said.

At first, Wu Yao didn’t respond to his younger brother’s words and thought his brother didn’t hear it. Only when he saw his brother’s face covered in tears did he realize that Wu Yao was too happy to speak a word. Wu Zhou helped his brother wipe his tears and comforted him.

"Brother, don’t cry." Wu Zhou said.

Wu Yao said, "I’m so happy. I hope the child will agree to meet me tomorrow."

"She will definitely agree. I’m sure of it. After all, without introducing himself, he had recognized me or else he wouldn’t have warned me before they chose to massacre the intruders who wanted to loot the Pill tower," Wu Zhou said.

Upon hearing this, Wu Yao was interested in the details. Though he had heard the doctor mention things regarding the Pill Tower, he wasn’t that interested before. It’s different now as he realized that his disciple might be connected to this Pill Tower.

Wu Yao said, "Oh~ tell me the details."

The Core Region. At the Yun Clan’s Territory...

The news about what happened at the Pill Tower had finally reached the Yun Clan. Though on the same day the tragedy had happened, the life tablets of those who had come to the Inner Haven for a mission had all cracked after they were all killed by the Immortal Sun Emperor. That was also the day that the Yun Clan had first fallen into chaos and the leader of the clan immediately ordered someone to investigate what happened to the people they had sent to seize the Pill Tower.

It was only today that the messengers had returned after gathering all the information of what happened that day and how the ending their clansmen had ended up as.

"Reporting to the Clan Master! According to our investigation, it was said the real owner of the Pill Tower had returned and broken the illusion that sealed the real appearance of the Pill Tower which is a Sentient Tree of Knowledge."

"On the day, people had gathered to surround the Pill Tower trying to loot the building. A young woman and a man had come out from the Pill Tower and stood before it, obviously guarding the place."

Confused. The Yun Clan’s Master said, "Only two people and a young couple at that?"

"Yes, Clan Master. One young woman who possessed the pure bloodline of the Ancient High Elf and a young Sword Cultivator whose one sword slash can even take the life of a False Emperor Cultivator."

A serious expression appeared on the Yun Clan’s Master as he asked, "Have you learned their names and their origins?"

"No, Clan Master. Their origins are unclear. They said they come from the outside yet the moment they entered the Inner Haven, they possessed the ownership of property in the noble district and owned the largest floating island that no one could buy before. There is also their connection to the Evernight Manor and Evergreen Garden."

"Evernight Manor? Isn’t that an assassination organization? I can understand their connection to the Evergreen Garden as the leader of the place is a half-elf, but the Evernight Manor... Is it because of that sword cultivator? The identities of these two people are too mysterious. They might be people from the Core Region for now not to use force on the Pill Tower," the Yun Clan’s Master said.

The messenger said, "But the legacy..."

"Legacy isn’t as much as the Yun Clan’s existence! Just the fact that they can kill a False Emperor cultivator means that there must be an emperor or they are connected to one! Without an emperor cultivator to back our Yun Clan we can only retreat. Don’t worry there is still a chance. As long as we win the alchemy battle, the Pill Tower will be legally ours! We only need to win!!!" The Yun Clan’s Master said.

At this time the Yun Clan chose to step back for a while to cut off their losses. After losing five quasi-emperor realm cultivators and two false emperor cultivators, the Yun clan had weakened quite a bit. After all, they had never expected there would be a power in the Inner Haven who can easily kill a Quasi-Emperor and even a False Emperor can be killed.
