Having succeeded in creating a spell called [Wall Architecture], I decided to move on to making my way.

Surrounded by walls is 4 km of square land on one side.

Forests extend to the north and villages to the south.

In the meantime, I'm going to make my way towards the entrance and exit that connects to the junction between the base inside the wall and the village and the entrance and exit that leads to where I'm designating it as a protected forest area in the forest on the north side.

Ever since I've been reincarnated into this world, I've felt a hint of gratitude on the road.

Because I don't see a decent path.

Essentially, it's a path around here where people are often seen as natural.

It was also difficult on the way from the village to the city.

It was difficult to get around walking and getting in a luggage truck with obstacles that could cause traffic jams and minimal maintenance to cross the river and so on.

At least I want to make something a little better.

As a matter of fact, I had already prepared a passageway towards the entrance and exit.

The magic of [soil improvement] is used for the fields, but the roads were kept only [tidy ground].

But there were things that ruined it.

It's not a beast like a big pig, it's a human being.

Those of you who have taken up work on my land, starting with my part-time brother, have neglected the obvious path.

[Tidy] The land is very easy to walk because it is clean and flat.

Then there is, but when I'm pulling a loaded luggage truck or something and moving around, the ground becomes clear.

As soon as it lasts, it becomes a mess of dirt, which makes it difficult to move luggage cars.

What do you do then?

As long as it passes over the convex soil, I'll go through the fields, because one stone hasn't fallen, so I don't know where to go, but people are starting to move out like they're going through the plowed soil.

I was careful at first, too.

But human beings seem to have thought circuits that you take for granted when you see others doing it.

Soon, most people started to move over the field as they please without going through the first route they decided to take.

You may exercise strict caution, but you may not be able to disclose the symptoms.

If so, we will secure what can be called a solid road at this time.

That's what I thought.

"Don't worry..."

I've magically tried to cure some roads.

At first I thought I'd cement the road with concrete.

But I was worried about something.

Sure, the concrete and asphalt roads look pretty, but didn't they actually need a lot of maintenance money?

It may not make sense to think about construction and maintenance costs because we make them magically anyway, but because of this, would it be too greedy to want to build a long-lasting road?

That's what I thought. I went into the task of digging up memories I'd heard in my previous life.

I'm not sure because I've never been involved in building roads.

But I do remember hearing stories about roads that were over 1,000 years old still exist in modern times.

A cobblestone street that was created by the ancient Roman Empire.

I think I heard that the path created by an ancient country that existed since BC with its exceptional technology does exist.

Aside from how it went about the hassle of maintaining it, I should have seen on TV that it does make a very sensible making.

This is what the basic way to make it should have looked like.

Start by digging deep into the ground according to the road width.

Bury the stone where it was dug, and lay clay and gravel upon it.

And then further neatly place the cobblestone stone on top of it.

At this time, the caveat is that if you look at the cross-sectional view of the road from the side, the central part of the road is slightly elevated, so that the lower you go to the edge.

This is the idea of water flowing down the edge of the road when it rains.

But it's even more advantageous.

They say that the slight slope makes it harder for the cobblestones to deviate at each other's weight.

This way we can lay strong roads against water and heavy objects.

But I think there were some drawbacks.

Basically, they only laid this Roman-style street straight.

How thorough that was, so much so that the road was laid in a straight line to its destination, trying to create and penetrate tunnels without bypassing the mountains.

It is quite a horrible story that we can only do it upright.

Do you have any idea how far off the point of arrival is 10 km away and 100 km away, just once the angle shifted towards the destination?

It means this road can't be used without kettle-out measuring technology.

"Well, but I'll try it with this guy"

But I dared to build this Roman road.

The reason is simply my hobby.

That was just the reason I had an admiration for cobblestone roads.

Honestly, I don't know how much trouble it will take to maintain it, but if I spell it, it won't be that bitter as long as the Valkyries are around.

That's what I thought. I went into the task of imagining things in my head to build new roads.
