Skeleton Knight, in Another World

Land Baltic Disturbance 1

The western side of Landbalt is called the Gulf of Burgo, and the port is said to be just around the middle of the bay, the closest place to the Northern kingdom on the other bank. Leaving this harbor, off the western coast there is an island called the Bis Island, where, as a relay, dealings with the Northern Kingdom have flourished for a long time.

Sure, you can see off the coast from the harbor where you are now, but you can see the view of the island across the horizon. Gio, the Knights' deputy chief, who was not so far apart in distance and who was similarly looking offshore by the side without a two-hour boat ride, explained to me.

There are two large piers in the harbour, where many ships of all sizes and sizes dock, but not so many ships enter and leave the harbour because of restrictions imposed by Lord Petros. The guard is seen everywhere for monitoring the ship's entry and exit, but his working attitude is incorrect. There were also many figures, such as guards, who saw Geo and rushed to fix it.

We were already talking about two days of regulation, so I guess it's just impossible to keep regulating this number of ships in and out of here any longer.

The harbor is busy with many, but the air also contained tingly swordswallowing air. There were also many people dressed in thin dirt in the clutter near the harbor, and there was something there that was difficult to say about the atmosphere of an overall peaceful harbor town.

Did Ponta, which was affixed over her head, also feel such an atmosphere sensitive, that she pulls her head in when she comes down to her neck and becomes like a muffler and round.

"Thanks to the strangeness on the western side of the Northern Kingdom, displaced persons (Rumi) have pushed here, and now security is a lot worse... We're regulating the harbor. That number is down now, but if it's lifted again, there 'll be more coming in, it's a real trouble. And recently there have been sightings of ghost ships and such off the bay, while anxiety and dissatisfaction have accumulated among the residents."

Gio, the deputy director who was guiding me to the harbor, nibbles in a slightly bitter tone with a frown, but immediately returns his expression and proceeds inside the harbor to lead him and Arian.

"Hasn't the Northern Kingdom hit anything against that western anomaly?

When a displaced person comes across the sea, even though it is a bay, the anomaly is supposed to be quite massive. It is difficult to imagine that the country is just looking at its fingers, but when it becomes normal, it is also possible that the kingdom's ruling system is in place.

"According to the stories of both displaced persons, the Knights of the Church of the Hilk Nation, located in the West, are responding, but the response seems to be turning backwards."

We were talking about the Hilk nation being located further west of the Kingdom of Northern. I guess this anomaly is something that cannot be seen even for the Hilk nation located in its western part. But is that Hilk country in the neighbouring country the only one in the response?

Ask Gio around and just tilt his neck, he doesn't seem to know much about it.

Unlike the highly developed information society as in modern times, I guess it is a polar part that has information. In this world, where even a great deal of effort is involved in gathering information, few people even seem to have a fairly accurate picture of the internal circumstances of their neighbours. Perhaps he is simply complaining about disclosure of information.

Petros said it was the Hilk nation that was scratching up numerous slaves. It's probably for the mining of Mithril Ore.

I understand the development of Mithril weapons to combat warcraft and the consequent expropriation of slaves as a labor force for the mining of Mithril mines, but I don't think it would be cost-effective to collect them to that extent.

With that in mind, Arian, who was wearing the hood of his coat deep next door, moved slightly and gazed at him.

"You found something, Lord Arian?

Asked so, Arian gently put his index finger against his lips and ran his gaze around him before putting those golden eyes back on this side.

"There were a few people watching us earlier."

When I lifted my head to those words and handed out only my gaze from behind my helmet to the surrounding area without shaking my head, there was certainly a suspicious man who was only pointing his body in another direction as he watched this one. I just couldn't find as many people as Arian would say.

Can an elf warrior be sensitive to pick and perceive signs even in places where many of these people go, or is she an artist who can because she is a dark elf? Either way, there seems to be more to it than a crowd.

But what the hell is the purpose of showing you the kind of movement that monitors this one? Even though they are both somewhat noticeable, I don't really remember seeing them all of a sudden in the first city I've visited.

Is it still related to Frani, the missing samurai? Other than that, I can't think of any reason to monitor this one, but would that be a kidnapping organization reconnaissance team or something?

But few people know that you and Arian have been asked by the lord Petros and his wife to find the samurai's whereabouts.

And then...

I pointed my gaze at Gio walking ahead.

Being vice president of the Knights in this realm is definitely an alarming opponent for the people who do business behind them. Is that surveillance to keep track of Geo's trends, not myself and Arian?

"Do they keep an eye on his deputy, Lord Gio?

When she stops her leg and asks Arian, who was lying down, she shakes her neck slightly to the side to deny it.

"It seems their consciousness is right for us..."

I don't know what it means more and more when I do. As Arian and I looked at each other, I turned around and came back with a few big strands to see if Gio, who had moved a little further, noticed this one had stopped.

"What's wrong?

Geo peeks into this face in surprise.

I only shifted my gaze to Arian for a moment, then answered Geo's questions in a frank way.

"Apparently there are people watching us from earlier..."

Gio only moves his gaze as he looks at his head and tries to look around.

"... is that true?

Ariane, who was next door, agrees to let her voice down slightly and Gio listens back.

"I don't know what it's all about, but it's been attached to me since before I got into the harbor."

"I can't even tell you they're the ones who grabbed Lord Frani..."

That's what I say, and then another question comes up and I watch Geo.

"With that said, Lord Gio. Do you have any idea where Lord Frani lost his word?

On his question, Gio's eyes slightly moved to the left and right, lowering his eyes.

A maid who works in a castle usually spends a lot of time in a castle wall. I don't know the details, but I don't think it's that easy to grab a samurai with a lot of people living and working. Conversely, if the news is lost in the castle, the statue of the killer will take on another appearance.

"... it's my fault"

Gio answered, keeping his eyes down, trying to squeeze out his voice a little lower.

"I asked her to use it outside the castle. I should have told my men she had business outside the castle. So I told Mr. Petros to volunteer to guide this search, and I was hoping he could at least help me."

"So what about us and Lord Gio breaking up here once?

Answering that while watching Geo with his face down, he looked up like he had been played and looked back at this one, Arian and his gaze shook to the left and right.

"Why!? I helped her find..."

It was Arian who controlled by hand and opened his mouth to block Geo's words in a slightly upset tone.

"You mean we get stuck and pull them out, right?

I responded with the consent of her, who asked with the intent of this party.

"Well, Lord Geo has a wide range of known faces in this city, and if you're going to lure them away from us, you should leave us once and for all."

"But..."

Ariane also agreed to this proposal in a sober tone to Gio, who said something.

"Well, you don't have much time, do you? I have a little clue right now."

Gio also nodded hesitantly in that tone that made him not say yes or no, eventually drooling his head.

"Ok...... then I will show my face to the stuffing that is in the harbor once"

"Then we'll meet again around here in an hour or so"

Both of them agreed to his words and once Gio and I broke up here.

Talk to Arian next door as he drops off Gio's back going away.

"Are they going to ride this invitation?

"If you two can't catch it, you're gonna have to ask me out on my own."

Arian, who laughed slightly up the edge of his mouth, returns it without incident.

Well, I don't think I and Arian alone will be that late, but that doesn't mean I'm alarmed. We just have to pray that if we can, the other two will come aboard the invitation when we act.

Take Arian with you and go along with the occasional sailors in the harbor, etc. talking about the characteristics of the samurai, etc. while looking for a place to go. After listening around, I found out that those who seemed to know something to some extent were not always able to talk in a busy way. Maybe that's what the lord said he doesn't want to be caught up in the war behind him.

Without any success as it was, he took the surrounding surveillance and stepped into the vicinity of Warehouse Street, behind the south side of the harbor.

The street in front is full of people, but there are fewer people as soon as they enter the path behind them. The warehouse around here, far from the ship's departure site, does not appear to be a frequently used compartment.

A bunch of floaters squatting around the corner of the road look up at this one with a frivolous look, but they just drop him off with their gaze without doing anything.

"Lord Arian, what do you say?

Asking Arian next door as she explored the signs around her, her golden eyes glistened suspiciously behind the hood, taking the form of her mouth laughing. Apparently, he caught it well.

"There are six of them coming from behind, and there are more than ten of them coming around."

When she hit the place like a slightly deeper square where the warehouse occupies the perimeter, more than ten men stood there exposed to their nibbled faces and waited.

Looking back, there are several men coming from behind to turn off the exit route. When a few people around them are sensitive to the anomaly, they disappear at a glance while caught up.

Just looking at the number of people around them, about twenty men surrounded themselves.
