Skeleton Knight, in Another World

The crisis in Wang Du

Soulia, the king's capital, is the heart of the Northern kingdom.

The kingdom side was forced to fight the King's Capital Cage Castle against a mysterious legion of immortals (undead) who suddenly appeared.

Outside the sturdy Second Street Wall that protects the city, hundreds of thousands of immortal (undead) soldiers mount uninterrupted walls and are chased to deal with those who seek to destroy the walls and those who seek to cross the walls into scaffolding their fellow immortals (undead) for days and nights when the hustle and bustle do not go off.

Initially, the enemy was the Immortal (undead), and there was a strict defensive posture on the night when his power was supposedly increased, but for some reason, the soldiers of the Immortal (undead) moved away from the walls they had been attacking until then, each acting strangely just wandering the surrounding arable land and plains with thoughtful actions.

At first, it was a group of leaders who suspected it was some kind of trap in the enemy's sudden change of behavior, but when it lasted two or three days, it became inferred that there seemed to be some constraint on the enemy's side.

But it was never an optimistic situation, either, because of the less likely onslaught of the vigilant night immortal (undead) soldiers.

Crossed by countless immortal (undead) soldiers, the Spider-Man variants exist in considerable numbers of individuals, because they also existed at night those who direct a clear will to attack the King's capital.

Still, the majority of spiders are still witnessing half-running figures such as beating and crushing immortal (undead) soldiers scattered around them at night, which has also turned out to be a cut that the Wang Capital can carry up to now.

However, even in a minority, the increased attack power of the alien Spider-Man was not a ratio such as a roaming immortal (undead) soldier, but was also the subject of a threat in the Battle of the Cage Castle combined with the manoeuvrability of the lower body of the spider, and was now the least alarming in the battle that lasted day and night.

Another city wall appears all over the city after entering the city from the Second Street Wall, which engages in an attack with such monsters, and advances through the cluttered streets.

It was the former city wall of this king's capital, Soulia, and it was a necessity of preservation before the city was expanded to the second street wall in the outer perimeter where it is now.

But even now that the city has been expanded, in this war-torn land, its First Street Wall has served as an inner fence against enemy incursions throughout the city, and remains so until today.

Inside the old town of such First Street walls, the corners built on the walls have a stone solid construction and were used as stuffing for the guards during normal times.

But at a time when cage battles were waged throughout the King's capital, those who were the Lord of the country, including King Asparf Northern Soulia, the culmination of the Northern kingdom, hissed into a narrow indoor and made a difficult face in front of him with a map describing the entire King's capital that had been spread out in front of him.

It was the supreme power of this country, King Asparf, who opened his mouth to everyone and in a bitter atmosphere.

"... how many days have you been sending an ambassador for a reinforcement request?

The King, who lost his sense of time, inquired of the Prime Minister sitting nearby with a slightly less tense voice in his defense against the countless immortals (undead) who would attack him day and night.

"... sure, I thought it was day seven"

In that prime minister's answer, the heavily sighed king roars as he rubs the wrinkles between his eyebrows.

"Seven days... even if the princes could properly prepare reinforcements, it would take at least seven more days to lead them back... It seems that Cardinal Liberalitus has requested reinforcements from the Patriarchate, but that will take even longer."

……

Wrinkles are also deeply engraved between the prime minister's brows in the king's words.

In the wake of the heavily painful air of the place, the king shook his head (wearing it) once before changing the subject.

"By the way, how's the demolition of the house by the First Street wall going?

"Eighty percent so far, I thought it was about 90 percent..."

The Chancellor answers with an indication of the outside of the First Street wall of the map spread out in front of him, the residence standing beside him, etc.

If the Second Street Wall, which is currently a battlefield, were breached, we would have considered lowering the defensive line to the First Street Wall, but the problem at that time was the issue of the dwelling built next to the First Street Wall when the city was expanded.

It would not have been much of a problem if the immortal (undead) soldiers did not show agile movement, but if they were heterogeneous spiders, it was pointed out that they could come over the First Street Wall using the mobility of the spider as a stepping stone to deal with the abrupt demolition of the dwellings in question.

I would be resented by residents living in the residence in question, but now it is Setouchi, whether or not this country can survive, and it was the current situation and the real thing that I could not care less about.

"The beast slaves who demolished it, hit it with debris removal, etc. seem to be working well unexpectedly, and thanks to their high physical abilities, the progress of the work is progressing faster than we thought."

King Asparf nods forcefully to that voice of hope somewhere in the Chancellor.

"It was a big part of the bet to put those on the table, but they still don't want to die ravaged by the undead either... Does rationed food also play a role?"

"Master Left, but when you get through this phase, you will inevitably hear things from the Hilk Church... Not to mention the fact that the Cardinal is in the King's City."

It was a slightly abusive way for the state to buy individually owned beast slaves within the Wang Dynasty and put them on the table to engage in this residential removal operation, but if the current situation where the residents are lending a hand to the general public is not enough, it is outside the scope of leaving the workforce unaddressed.

Due to the convenience of the work, there were concerns that the Beast Man would revolt when he was allowed some freedom to come out to the table, but it may be said that he succeeded in attaching cooperation to survive by sticking the status quo of the Wang Capital to them.

But if you look at the beasts who put them on the table, and they discover an act contrary to doctrine in front of the cardinals directly linked to the Church and the Patriarchate of Hilkism, you will most certainly be asked to give them up later on.

"It's all if there's a country..."

The Chancellor also nodded back in silence to the words that King Asparf spat out with his great sigh.

"This will not be any consolation, and some defame it as careless, but it may have been unfortunate to think that this time the enemy was the undead..."

To the words of the murmuring Chancellor, the king turned an interesting gaze and urged ahead.

"Well, what's that?

"Because the enemy was an army of the unreasonable undead (undead), we can also say that those who are now in the king's capital are united in their efforts. If this was an invasion by a regular army from another country, we'll see this one leaning against us, and there will always be those who betray the country."

The king's dark grin deepens at the Chancellor's words.

It has been common in this land where divisions and mergers have been repeated over a long history.

How many castles and cities have fallen by the hands of allies who have turned their backs on their enemies - there is no time for such stories if history is broken.

"Sure..., no one came out too big on the Beastman slave thing because the people are desperate to survive too. If you think about it, it's a shame that the enemy was the undead."

That's what the king says. He leaks laughter.

And when the two of them listened to the hustle and bustle that seemed to make a scene outside there, and tried to look you in surprise, one of the conductors came in to literally roll over.

Normally, he was not a prime minister who would allow such disrespectful behavior before the Lord of a country, but he understood that now was not the time to talk about such things at length.

"What's the matter!?

In the words of the Prime Minister, who briefly questioned him, the commanding officer prostrated himself on the spot and told him that things had changed suddenly.

"Second outer wall, south street gate partially collapsed! You've been broken!!

The king rose vigorously to the report of that decree, and the recoil caused the chair to make a shitty noise and fall.

"All units, retreat while holding the undead!! Instruct working residents to retreat to the First Street Wall immediately!! Hurry!"

Those around him and the decree began to move in unison to the king's decree.

In so doing, the king and the prime minister drop their gaze on the map of the king's capital, which was widened in front of them, and stare at the place where the dwelling was still not removed while it was built beside the city walls.

─ ─ Can't make it...

The king was teething with such force that his back teeth could be chewed to pieces.
