Skeleton Knight, in Another World

The End of the Kingdom of Salma

Eastern border of the Kingdom of Salma, on the territory of Branier.

Seventy years ago, the land which was formerly under the possession of the Kingdom of Northern was cut off by the eastern expedition of the Kingdom of Salma, to which the Royal Salma was bestowed the earlier generation Sir Branier, who was the medal of the then eastern expedition.

Since then, the Blanier family, given the name of Uncle Borderline, has been defending and prospering the land for generations.

Unlike the martial walls and castle towers that were built after becoming Branier territory, the mansion, which is also the residence of the contemporary lord who ruled such a land, is characterised by an elegant interest fully poured by the tastes of the previous lords who became the territory of the Kingdom of Salma, creating a unique landscape coupled with the fortified surroundings of the castle.

An office room set up in one of those mansions - a large desk seat in the back of that room with an old man sitting restless.

From time to time, the frown wrinkles deepen so as to come up with something, with a slightly retracted gray head with sharp eyes and a mustache under his nose, pushing his successful large body cramped into a good chair.

Wendri du Blanier peripheral uncle.

Unlike the nobles who dawn into a central factional protest, as you can see from the atmosphere, he is somewhere reminiscent of knights and samurai.

Originally, however, when it came to the Kingdom of Salma, the Kingdom of Northern States, the Kingdom of Delfrent and the Holy Kingdom of Alsace - a nobleman who possesses a strip of land including its four countries - before becoming the present Hilk nation, there was a majority of people of a temperament like him who had no hesitation in arbitrariness.

It was not until about a hundred years ago that the situation in such a peripheral country changed that real power shifted from the Holy King, who was the monarch of the Holy Kingdom of Alsace, to the Pope of the Hills, and the name of the country was once again “Hills".

At that time, the Hilk pope became the ruler of the country by using his own founding Temple Knight to dominate the Holy City and transfer the real power of the Holy King, and the Holy King of Alsace disappeared from the top of the map.

The great nomenclature of that time, which the Pope spoke of, was "to make the people of the land at peace".

The border line of the Holy King of Alsace, which had then repeatedly invaded and retreated into other countries, fell under the Pope's life to the border line established by the Hilk State, and the subsequent invasion was interrupted by Patali.

A country that was a unilateral border enactment, but was already the culmination of Hilkism with churches and followers in many parts of the northern continent, defined and ruled by the Pope, and each country would desist, including protests and other invasions of the Hilk nation.

From then on, strife in the three countries was at the centre, but that was also the last massive invasion of the eastern part of the Kingdom of Salma, which later turned into just sporadic strife.

One of the causes is the liberation of resource-rich Hilk nations from the exhaustion of strife.

As a result of the beginning of the enrichment of the Hilk nation that emerged from the circle of strife, the neighbouring countries felt a sense of crisis in it and adopted a policy of not losing their national power as much as possible.

And the central nobles of the Kingdom of Salma, who entrusted the border guard of the territory of Blanier, which was to border the Kingdom of Northern, to the Border Uncle of Blanier, were inclined to acquire power within their own kingdom.

Thanks to this, until then, it was fundamental that the territory be protected by force. The aristocracy now used to be a royal mood, more people lost their present in entertainment, and the temperament nobility to protect the territory became rare.

The establishment of the Hilk nation did quell the strife of the neighbouring countries, and there is no doubt that peace has visited the land, but in that regard the question remains whether peace has been assured to the people.

The aristocratic life was certainly stable, but many of the inhabitants were to bear the hardship of supporting their extravagant lives, and could never be said to be able to live a rich life.

"If there is confusion in the Wang capital, the central aristocrats could be delayed in their response..."

Blanier Borderline uncle, who was staring at the ceiling with a difficult face, zeroed his word in a nobody's office.

He had his head troubled by the anomaly in the realm that had happened earlier.

At first, it was the sightings of one of the inhabitants that the report came up.

A distant sighting of an unidentified monster crossing the boundaries of the Kingdom of Salma's Blanier territory, the river Weir flowing north and south, to the Luang forest, where the Elves live.

And the next thing the unidentified monster came up in the report was a report that a mysterious armed group was being chased by that monster, which was also from eyewitness testimony from the people.

In order to correctly grasp the anomalies in the territory, Uncle Blanier ordered a search party to be formed to search for the mysterious armed group and unidentified monsters.

And what a platoon of leading troops who undertook such a search encountered was an ugly monster that mixed the lower body of the spider with two people. Four such alien monsters were found in the territory, and all the platoons dealt with at the time of the encounter were to be considerably damaged.

A reconnaissance team was dispatched to Larissa, the king's capital, in the direction where the monster would have arrived from the sighting and encounter of a monster crossing with a platoon-sized unit on its own.

The other possibility, the Northern kingdom - perhaps associating the VIP convoy through the territory with the monster's pursuit - has stepped in and sent out in the form of a messenger that some sort of anomaly has already taken place.

Now it can be said that the reports of their return will determine the fate of the Blanier territory in the future.

But the result is still to arrive.

It will take at least three days for the Messenger to make his way to the King's Capital of the Kingdom of Northern Sudan, and at least five days for the reconnaissance team to make his way to Larissa, the King's Capital of the Kingdom of Salma. It will take longer if we consider the return journey.

I let each of them have a "bird," so the report shouldn't take twice as long as one way.

But what an itchy situation to just wait for in this way, Blanier Borderline Uncle makes you feel in a hurry.

"Do we have to keep in mind that, depending on Larissa's circumstances, we have a truce with Northern?"

That being said, I heard noisy footsteps from the outside as Uncle Blanier rose from his chair and looked at the map hung on the wall of the office room.

When he turns to you, the door suddenly opens with momentum without the usual knocks to confirm entry, and the usual discerning face pops into the room.

"Excuse me, Master Wendri!

That was a woman who assisted Uncle Branier on the border.

Normally, she rarely disturbed herself without obtaining permission from the owner of the room, and suddenly came indoors, feeling dominated by the feeling of darkness in Uncle Blanier's chest.

But he was twisting his neck on the spot without being able to think of anything that would make her so desperate.

It's only been three days since the messengers left the capital.

It's still too early in time for their report to come up - there was another figure in Uncle Blanier's eyes who thought so and looked back at her, usually a man he'd never seen in the mansion.

A young soldier in uniform - probably a conductor.

The still unfamiliar wind conductor, after giving a big thank you to Uncle Branier Border, closed his eyes slightly to make a mistake word for word, raising the decree report loudly as it sounded in the office.

"Currently, King's capital Larissa is engaged in a massive raid of monsters with the mysterious Immortal (undead)! The exact number is unknown, but at least nearly 200,000! At the request of the King's Capital, I would like to ask for reinforcements to defend the King's Capital through his martial arts!

When rolled up to that point at once, the young conductor stretches his spine and gives another big salute.

What he did was too shocking.

"Are you sure about that report!!?

When a stunned, less eyed, blue-breasted Blanier border ambassador hung on a young conductor, the conductor affirmed the question again and again, as if it were a broken toy.

Wang Du is under the threat of 200,000 immortals (undead) - it makes me want to ask someone what the hell is going on, but saying it to a messenger frightened and trembling at the power of Borderline Uncle won't return a decent answer.

In the first place, even if the immortal (undead) occurred suddenly and naturally in large numbers, the number of 200,000 deviates greatly from its common sense limits.

There are several examples of bodies abandoned in ancient battlefields and other places that have become massive immortals (undead) and wandered around, but there are still many, many hundreds or thousands of them.

In the first place, when men prepare soldiers for territorial strife and so forth, in a world where as many as 20,000 troops are gathered together, there are literally ten times as many immortals (undead) and so on, with different digits.

"So what's the content of those 200,000 immortals (undead)?

Uncle Blanier had to ask the question in order to assume what he would do in the future, even though he was sweating disgustingly at the neck muscle.

There have been reports that the unidentified creature, the Spider-Man, did not retain its shape when he defeated it, and it melted and collapsed, which is very similar to the fact that the immortal (undead) rots out when he was crusaded, thus suggesting that the alien creature could be the immortal (undead).

And as the worst assumption on the head of the borderline uncle, that spiderman was pushing 200,000 of them over to the king's capital to ravage everything. If that happens, all the nations of the people will be ravaged.

"According to the story of the Apostle from Wang Du, the majority of them were soldier-equipped immortals (undead) with alien monsters that combined spiders and people in them!

He was a borderline uncle who stroked his chest a little to the point that his worst assumptions had fallen off in the conductor's answer, but still the number remained unchanged until he was overwhelmed.

While confused by the contents of the report, which some listeners can no longer make sense, he spoke of the possibility by recalling the name that appeared in the legend behind the brains of Uncle Blanier's border.

"No way..." "Pluto," is it? No, but that was taken over by the Empire. "

A legend once said to have vandalized the realm of the Empire with an army of dead men who followed several monsters, one after the other, as their own servants - and the number of corps of dead men they had at the end of the crusade was more than 10,000.

But to shake off such an idea, Uncle Blanier shook his head (wearing it) and wrinkled between his eyebrows.

The problem here and now was not to explore the causes, but how to deal with this situation.

"... By the way, it's too early to report to Larissa, the king's capital, but what's going on?

When he turned to two women, the conductor and the assistant, in order to seek answers with the gaze of Uncle Borderline, the woman, the assistant, answered the question.

"I was the first to hear about it. According to the report, he apparently went on the road with an apostle who answered a reinforcement request from the Wang Capital side. The reconnaissance team said he only went this way as a preaching order, and the rest headed for the reconnaissance of the King's Capital as ordered. As for the messenger from the Wang capital, he seems to be entering this capital late."

Uncle Borderline nods back at her as she was getting back on track, although it was somewhat quick.

Try to organize your head with your mouth full of future policies so that you can sum up your thoughts in that way.

"First of all, you can't think realistically about reinforcements to the King's Capital... you will abandon the King's Capital, but can't you?"

It was the young soldiers of the decree who were shocked by the words of the neighboring uncle.

But he understood that he was not in a position to pinch his opinions, just shut his mouth and rattled his throat.

Having looked back at him like that, Borderline Uncle spoke one by one of his thoughts to raise one eyebrow and make the woman, the adjunct next door, listen as well.

"First of all, this one has too little power against 200,000 enemies. If you're going to fight with city walls and castle walls as shields in a cage battle, it's not the number of shots you can get out of here yet. And distance and time. From here to Larissa, the king's capital, the number of days it takes to send a massive reinforcement is..."

Having spoken that far, Borderline Uncle looked back and looked back at the map set out indoors.

"Infantry will be the focus, so I was wondering if it would take at least seven days, ten days, including preparation"

She took over his words, as she assisted Uncle Borderline in his thoughts.

To her words, Uncle Borderline also nods to indicate consent.

Around the Wang capital is the plain area, and there is no chance you can win a challenge with widows against the great army in such a place. Then it would still be more realistic to boundary the river Wheel and slap enemies on the water.

But that's also hard to say for sure.

If the other person is not a person and becomes an immortal (undead), the way they deal with it will also change.

It is completely unclear to what extent the current of the Whirl River works as a stepping stone against the armies of 200,000 immortals (undead). This is not a very optimistic situation.

Sooner or later, 200,000 immortals (undead) will also be pushed into this Blanier territory, if the first spiders and others witnessed were individuals in repressive roles.

When Uncle Blanier assumes what is to come, and quickly sees what needs to be done in his brain, he gives instructions to the assistant woman.

"Issue instructions to keep in close contact with the fort along the River Wheel. If you see an army of undead, abandon the fort immediately and retreat to the capital. All weapons in the territory are transported into this territorial capital. Let the realm know right now that we're buying anything that can be harvested in the surrounding arable land."

Another man in military uniform showed up on the spot as the assistant woman listened to Uncle Borderline's instructions had a memorandum in the corner of the paperwork in hand.

"Earlier, a" bird ”returned from a group of messengers headed for the Northern Kingdom! This is the report."

As the man in military uniform dived through the open office door and thanked him, he gave Uncle Blanier a small folded parchment and backed off.

“Birds” are one of the fastest means of communication used by the human race, but due to their nature of using bird nesting instincts, they can only communicate one way per bird. Moreover, it is a difficult substitute for a common means of communication because it takes time to bring the bird into contact information on a regular basis.

"From the messenger I sent to Northern, have you? Pretty soon."

Uncle Blanier was surprised by the content of his report, but received the pieces of paper and looked inside.

While following the written text with his eyes, the expression of Uncle Borderline changes one after the other to what was written there.

As the auxiliary woman narrowed her eyes to see the contents of the report watermarked by such a rare Borderline Uncle reaction, Borderline Uncle either knew or did not know her attitude as such, and threw the report into her hands unwrought.

While she received it and looked through the contents of the report, Uncle Blanier had a difficult face and stroked the wrinkles between her eyebrows with her index finger.

"Apparently, as far as the contents of this report are concerned, there's already been a raid on the King's capital of the Northern kingdom."

Uncle Blanier nods quietly at the words of a woman who slightly raised her gaze from the report.

That was something he had thinly anticipated, but when he actually saw what came up as a report, he was unwittingly wiping the cold sweat flowing down his neck muscles feeling attacked by unspeakable anxiety.

What the hell is going on in this land?

"It says there were countless remnants of armor burning down outside the Wang du Wall. Some of the city gates seem to have been destroyed, but there has been no great damage throughout the city, and on the contrary, the role husband is now being mobilized for restoration."

The look on the face of Uncle Borderline, who speaks so, seemed to remain calm, and every part of that language could not hide the joy of finding hope in this situation.

That there are precedents that have unleashed the crisis can only be a light.

"Is it the same as those who attacked Larissa, the king's capital? If that's the case, I don't know exactly how big it is, but the Northern Kingdom has avoided the crisis, once."

But the auxiliary woman, who tries to look at only objective objects, sends such a disturbing word back to her own master, Uncle Blanier Borderline.

Did Uncle Borderline also understand what she was going to say? She roared heavily when she frowned and looked bitter.

If the Blanier realm fails to withstand the invasion of the Undead and is ravaged, there is a chance that 200,000 troops will now head north and strike again at the unprecedented Northern kingdom after the fighting has subsided.

But this possibility is not all bad for people living in Blanier territory.

The Northern kingdom will not want to be invaded by the immortals (the undead) so often, too, and then we put our hands together with Wendri, Lord Blanier, who has been hostile, and stepped on that there is a ground where proposals to temporarily fight together can be accepted.

Anyway, they're not literally the right ones.

If we don't fight together, there are ways to hope inside that you can teach us how to resist the majority of invasions. A lot of conditions will be offered, but the little thing before it matters - it would be a lot better than Branier territory disappearing from the map.

The worst assumption is that the Northern Kingdom is confident of the means of confrontation that it possesses, so much so that it will not move into another immortal (undead) invasion. In this case, any support to the territory of Branier may be refused.

In that case, the Blaniers must defend their territory from 200,000 enemies with only one family.

It is the territory of the Blanier family that once cut and divided the territory of the Kingdom of Northern.

If the Northern Kingdom eliminates the Undead after they have been attacked and destroyed, they will be able to recover their former territory without labor.

No, on the contrary, Larissa, the king's capital, who by now would have been attacked and destroyed by the great offensive of the Undead, or, more importantly, the Kingdom of Salma, could have it all under her control.

Since the King's capital of the Kingdom of Salma is also a harbour town facing the sea, perhaps the aristocrats can escape to the sea by boat to escape the ordeal, but there is no power left to resist the Northern kingdom to the people without the people or soldiers when they return to the King's capital after being ravaged.

Again, assuming a lot of other things, the feeling of darkness comes in and there is a heavy sigh unexpectedly.

"It doesn't even start like this. Non leads a handful of gestures directly to the King's Capital of the Northern Kingdom as a messenger. If we can get our hands together, we've never crossed it, but if we can't, we'll see if the people alone can evacuate us, and we'll have to do something about it. Don't wait for me."

That said, Uncle Branier looked up at the ceiling, shook his head (wearing it) like he was tired, and gradually turned his gaze back on the auxiliary woman and instructed him to deal with it in the future.

"After Nan leaves as a messenger, please do well with the Knights Commander and you. The two men of the preaching move under her. She gives the instructions. … Perhaps the name of the Kingdom of Salma will disappear from the map the following year. It's up to everyone in the future to keep the name of Blanier."

Two of his commanding soldiers rattled their throats with a tense face to a word he had leaked without such a thing.

"Then I'll come"

Uncle Blanier had his favorite coat hung in the office room and left the room early.
