47. Rewards and recast time

After Minotaur's crusade, I was stuck at the Alliance table.

Some of them are lightly sleepy after drinking the booze that other adventurers and wizards have given them.

"Keep your head..."

There was more blunt pain where I was beaten with a stone axe than that.

You have a headache when you catch a cold.

That's been going on for a while.

"Hmm? Tank sure can withstand any attack safely, except for the pain, huh?

"I thought that would happen."

I ate that momentum swing and it didn't even blow up.

There's no way there's a convenient story that the price is entirely nashi.

I guess this dull pain is the price for successfully overcoming that power.

"Well, normally, it was an instant death level attack, and I'm pretty sure it's easier this way."

"Mm-hmm. According to the user, the pain itself is considerably reduced, and the tank is a good skill. Most importantly, he was good at using koutas."

"Did you do well?

"Yeah, take it directly from the front without running away, stunning your opponent and creating a gap. That flow was brilliant."

That's a little embarrassing when you say it again. I'm also taking the damage of pain.

"But I got paid for this pain, so is that good?"

With the reward of defeating Minotaur this time, he seemed to be able to live lazily for roughly two months.

Sometimes it was a big guy in the middle, and it was a good price, but because he fell in the city, it was a big deal that the transportation cost almost didn't cost him.

It's troublesome because these huge preys can be expensive just to transport when they're finished.

Tanabota, I was really fortunate to receive the money that came together.

Now I don't have to worry about my immediate life, but there was one more thing that bothered me.

"By the way, how often do you use your skills?

Unlike things that seem to be able to expand the range, strengthen penetration, and so on, [tanks] have somewhat usable performance.

So I need to know how many times I can use it.

"Hmm, you don't have a number of times in your magic book."

I tried opening the magic book, but it didn't say how many times. It's just...

"[Endurance Skill Tank] …… does it not activate after all?"

Speak magic and it won't activate. Instead,

"The letter" Tank "is slightly thinner………"

I wondered what this change was, and Flame glanced at me from the side.

"Hmm? Kouta didn't know how to use his skills?

"No, I mean how to use it or how to use it, right? I know it doesn't seem to be frequent."

"Yeah, basically, skills recover in time. Some skills can be used continuously, but not after five minutes, and so on."

Hmm, are skills on a time basis? It's similar to Flameveil.

"Um, the Flameveil of my Levataine family is a magic that has been modified and derived from one skill!

"Oh, did you? That sounds similar."

"... Well, that skill was lost a long time ago, and I don't know what kind of skill was prototypical anymore. Well, as a Levataine family, it doesn't matter."

"That's a big mess, man."

But, well, thanks to you, I know how to use my skills.

Perhaps the thinning of the letters is a testament already used. I guess I can reuse it when this returns to its original intensity.

"Hey, do you know how many minutes a tank can be used to set aside, Flame?

"Hmm, I've only seen where others use it... right. I feel like I've been using it to put it away enough."

"I see. Well, enough, shall we wait?"

To confirm my reasoning, I decided to wait until the letters returned to normal.

The color intensity of the letters returned, as Flame talked about, roughly enough later.

"Is it enough until reuse? Subtly long, this."

Flame's burnt suicide only lasts up to three minutes, too, so one fight has to have Keri on it within three minutes.

Yet enough.

Once you use it, you seem better off thinking you can't use it in that fight anymore.

... that's just insurance rather than a skill to stabilize a war station.

Well, it's not a bad skill to have, so let me make the most of it.

Really, it's good to know this just for today.

"But... why did Minotaur come in?

In the first place, why did Minotaur become my wingman?

I had no idea where it was. Usually you can be cleaned up by an adventurer on lookout around the city, about Minotaur.

"Uhm, according to an adventurer's report we've been observing outside the city, it looks like something's been chasing us, right?

"What is it? That's ambiguous."

"The sources were vague, so there would be no choice. They could see if it was some kind of dazzling light or a flame. And shortly afterwards, Minotaur came in.

"Heh... I wonder if someone even let go of the big magic"

Totally annoying.

"You know, Kouta feels like she was doing it before..."

As for ignoring the complaints from the Book of Magic, for now, I want you to stop causing trouble to this city.

At the corner, the threat of the demon god leaves and you can live in peace.

"Uh... you're tired when you deal with minotaurs. I'm going home for the rest of the day. Thank you for today, Flame."

The pain also subsided. I just want to go home and goof.

"Um, don't worry about it! I'm grateful to see Kouta's magic, too! We'll see you tomorrow on the quest!

"Oops. If only I had a safe, decent job."

For that reason, I decided to go home after work and go to bed to get rid of the headache.
