Chapter 596: Be Good, Madam

Pausing for a moment, Caden Lockwood whispered softly by Evelyn Morgan’s ear: "Just match your glance at him to the length of time. One glance, a cactus sofa session. A glance over three seconds, count it as a new session."

Hearing this, a sarcastic twitch appeared at the corner of Evelyn Morgan’s lips.

She thought, it’s not her who’s gone mad, but Caden Lockwood.

Evelyn Morgan widened her eyes, "No... that’s not possible, right?"

"You can try it." Caden Lockwood’s lips curled into a threatening smile, "I believe you’ll be good, won’t you?"

"But..." Evelyn Morgan was anxious, "How can I possibly keep my eyes completely shut?"

"You’re here to listen to the concert, just bring your ears," Caden Lockwood said softly, making Evelyn Morgan feel like she was being choked.

Evelyn Morgan opened her mouth, wanting to retort, but couldn’t utter a single word.

Oh heavens!

Why did she meet such a man?

"Does that mean when I go out to work, I can’t do business with men? My teachers can’t be men either, nor can I have male classmates?" Evelyn Morgan asked.

"Logan Shaw." Caden Lockwood bit out the words, "No way!"

Evelyn Morgan was helpless.

Looks like Caden Lockwood has entirely seen Logan Shaw as an enemy!

Thinking of Caden Lockwood’s previous comment that she could easily say she liked Logan Shaw but had never said she liked him, it stifled her heart.

Seems that, invisibly, she had indeed caused Caden Lockwood a lot of grievance!

"At least, let me look at the stage at the start and near the end?" Evelyn Morgan proposed quietly, "I’ll keep my eyes shut for the rest of the time!"

Caden Lockwood glanced at Evelyn Morgan, didn’t agree, but didn’t refuse either.

Soon, the concert began.

After the host introduced Logan Shaw, he took the stage.

The moment Logan Shaw stepped on stage, all the girls in the audience basically screamed.

After all, Logan Shaw was indeed particularly handsome!

Logan Shaw locked his gaze on Evelyn Morgan’s seat; she came, and he was very happy.

But, seeing her holding tightly onto Caden Lockwood’s hand, his eyes dimmed.

Taking a deep breath, Logan Shaw said a few opening words and then, not being adept at speech, moved directly into the main part of the performance.

This wasn’t Evelyn Morgan’s first time hearing Logan Shaw play the piano.

She remembered that Logan Shaw’s music possessed a magical infectious quality, making it particularly pleasing to listen to.

Even someone like her, who was tone-deaf, seemed to be absorbed in the sea of music, unable to extricate herself.

The piano keys under Logan Shaw’s hands were like magical angels, playing a series of enchanting melodies.

And Evelyn Morgan did as she and Caden Lockwood had agreed, shutting her eyes, focusing solely on listening to the concert.

Caden Lockwood, however, wasn’t focused on listening; his gaze lingered on Logan Shaw, really displeased by the presence of such a man beside Evelyn Morgan.

Especially since Logan Shaw was indeed outstanding.

Combining this with the different tones Evelyn Morgan used when expressing her affection for Logan Shaw, to not mind at all, Caden Lockwood admitted, he couldn’t do it.

He wasn’t a petty person, but when it came to Evelyn Morgan and other men, he inevitably turned petty.

At that moment, the melodious piano sound suddenly stopped, and everyone in the venue started discussing, pointing at Logan Shaw, not understanding why such a well-played piece came to a halt.

Evelyn Morgan suddenly opened her eyes, looking at Logan Shaw on stage, who was gripping his hand, trying to continue playing, but only managed to play a few simple notes.

Logan Shaw’s complexion had turned deathly pale, drenched in sweat, his handsome and suave look now tinged with sickness, appearing especially haggard and spiritless.
