Slowly Falling into His Love Trap

Listening to Julian Keaton’s words, Cecilia Lynch could no longer hold back. She buried her face in Julian’s chest and burst into tears.

"How can you do this?" Cecilia pounded on Julian’s chest, "I’ve told you to leave, so why won’t you go? Why must you stay by my side and endure hardship?"

"You can’t bear to see me go." Julian spoke with certainty, "Cece, don’t push me away by hurting yourself. Leave everything to me to handle. Trust me, I can protect you, alright?"

"But..."

"No buts!" Julian interrupted Cecilia, "Listen to me, no matter how much you want me to leave, I won’t. Wherever you are, I am. Understand?"

"Julian." Cecilia leaned into Julian’s embrace, "I’m so scared... So scared something will happen to my mom! I’m afraid I’ll bring misfortune to you all!"

"It won’t happen." Julian gently patted Cecilia’s back, "Once Auntie comes out of surgery, let me talk to her. I believe I can convince her to accept us and our past."

Before Cecilia could speak, Julian continued, "You need to try trusting me, instead of solving things by yourself. Learn to rely on me, okay?"

Cecilia looked at Julian, his brow furrowed with sincere earnestness. Feeling his warmth, she gradually calmed down.

With a gentle nod, Cecilia nestled into Julian’s embrace, her gaze fixed on the surgery room’s door, still in pain.

At this moment, Caden Lockwood had already dragged Evelyn Morgan out of the hospital.

Evelyn finally shook off Caden’s hand, urgently saying, "Leave me alone! I want to stay by Cece’s side!"

Caden frowned, speaking displeasingly, "She tried to drive you away, and you still want to go back?"

"Yes!" Evelyn responded with determination, "Cece chased me away for my own good! She doesn’t want me to sacrifice anything for her, so she appears so heartless."

Listening to Evelyn’s words, a deep emotion flashed in Caden’s eyes.

"You two... have such a strong bond?" Caden’s voice carried a hint of jealousy.

He’s always hoped to receive that kind of unconditional trust from Evelyn, but no matter his efforts, it seems he never achieved it.

Caden envied Cecilia, envied her to the point of jealousy.

"You should go back first!" Evelyn suggested, "I have to return to be with Cece."

She worried Caden might do something excessive to Cecilia to protect her.

After all, Cecilia is on the brink of sorrow, and if something really happened to her mother, Evelyn would feel guilty and regretful her whole life.

Caden frowned, knowing Evelyn wanted him gone because she feared he’d bully Cecilia.

This woman hides her feelings, but can she be less obvious about it?

"Are you sure you want to go back?" Caden coldly questioned, "Cecilia might not treat you well and could do something even more extreme. If a crack forms now, even if you want to fix it later, there might not be any chance."

"Cece won’t." Evelyn firmly countered Caden’s attempt to take her away with just four words, her eyes sparkling brightly.
