Slowly Falling into His Love Trap

"Wasn’t Yvette blocked by Liam for quite a while last time?" Julian couldn’t help but tease.

He was still annoyed at Cecilia for saying he wasn’t as handsome as Caden. Whenever Julian saw Caden, he just wanted to knock him down a peg.

"What if the person who kidnapped Evelyn was Liam? What would you do?" Julian joked.

"It’s not Liam," Caden replied confidently. "I investigated. At the time, Logan rushed to rescue Evelyn, sent by Liam. Killing on one hand and rescuing on the other—Liam doesn’t have that kind of power."

Julian shrugged and spoke softly, "You asked me to look into Shannon Dunn before. It’s strange—all her information has been blocked by your dad. What I found was pitifully little, mostly the stuff we already know."

Caden’s dark eyes shifted toward Evelyn and Cecilia in the distance; he didn’t want to deal with Shannon’s matter right now.

Lightly parting his lips, Caden asked, "How is your wedding going? Will your parents let you marry so easily?"

"No, they won’t," Julian replied, looking helpless, "but even if they don’t, I’m going to marry Cece!"

Upon hearing this, Caden patted Julian’s shoulder and then walked over to Evelyn.

Standing by the fountain, Evelyn and Cecilia were waiting to enter.

They hadn’t gone inside to say hello beforehand because they didn’t want to disturb Logan.

"It’s just a musical concert. Do you really need to wear a dress?" Caden grumbled irritably.

He had rushed here from the office and had specifically instructed her not to dress too beautifully when he left home today.

But lo and behold, as soon as he arrived, she was indeed wearing a dress!

This woman definitely wanted to aggravate him!

"It’s not like this dress is very sexy!" Evelyn pouted in frustration. "If you don’t want me to wear dresses outside, then don’t buy them for me! The clothes are all bought by you!"

"Next time, I’ll directly buy you a cotton coat!" Caden snarled, "And preferably a mask and sunglasses, too. Don’t even let your hair show outside!"

"You’re too overbearing!" Julian laughed as he walked over, "Evelyn, don’t listen to him! You’re still so young; if you don’t dress up now, when will you? Wear! Wear strap dresses every day, and then piss him off!"

Seeing Julian, Evelyn felt somewhat embarrassed.

After all, he was... the big brother!

Noticing Evelyn’s uneasy expression, Cecilia’s gaze also dimmed.

Even when Cecilia and Julian were together, things often felt awkward.

"Julian," Caden said with a dark face, his voice squeezed out between his teeth, "Do you believe I’ll wipe you out right now?"

"Wipe me out?" Julian laughed like he’d heard a hilarious joke.

He walked up to the fountain and chuckled, "There’s a lot of water in this fountain! If I push you in, Caden, what would happen?"

Caden’s dark eyes narrowed, his sharp, icy gaze fixed directly on Julian, as if drilling holes into him.

"You guys don’t know, I bet!" Julian laughed out loud, fearing nothing, "Caden Lockwood, who seems fearless of anything under the sky, is actually afraid of water! So he doesn’t even have a bathtub at home!"

Just as Julian finished speaking, Caden threw a punch at his chest.

Julian didn’t even have time to dodge; his chest took a heavy hit, and he cried out in pain.
