The elder’s eyes shifted slightly.
In other words, while the Locke and Voss Families had been confronting one another outside Myriad Beast Mountain, the person they wanted to find had already left.
The elder returned the silver crystal to the family member beside him.
"Send someone to confirm his safety. Remember, no coercive measures are permitted. Do not investigate him without authorization either."
"Miss Nadia wishes to recruit him into the Voss Family. Until he clearly refuses, no one is permitted to do anything that might provoke his hostility."

The old man looked at him.
"He has already returned to the First Shelter."
The expression of the man in dark gold armor changed slightly.
"The Locke Family will send people to the First Shelter to question him."

"The Voss Family has no right to prevent the Locke Family from questioning an ordinary player."

"Then what right do you have to protect him?"
The old man fell silent for a moment.
Then he raised his eyes and looked at the Locke Family’s thirteen warships.
"What right? The Voss Family does not need to prove its right to act to the Locke Family."
Then, in an even more condescending tone, he added, "We were willing to explain the situation because Kane Locke is currently missing, not because you possess the power to negotiate with the Voss Family as equals."
The fists of the man in dark gold armor slowly clenched.
However, the old man did not give him another opportunity to argue.
"Your heir is still somewhere inside Myriad Beast Mountain, or perhaps he was attacked by a beast. What you should truly be doing is continuing to search for Kane, not using all your strength against a sixteen year old player who has already returned to the shelter."
"If your mistaken judgment causes Kane to miss his best opportunity for rescue, the person who will have to explain himself to the Locke Family’s senior members will not be me."
Those words finally struck the place the man in dark gold armor feared most.
Zich might indeed know something.
However, Kane’s life signal had only been severed. His death had not been confirmed.
Although there was a time limit for how long the participants could spend inside Myriad Beast Mountain, there could have been a mishap. Perhaps he had become trapped inside a spatial realm, or worse, had entered an area where the return magic could not function. In cases like this, for the return magic to work, the participant needed to remain within an area connected to Myriad Beast Mountain’s main spatial network.
If Kane was still trapped somewhere inside Myriad Beast Mountain, then continuing to waste time confronting the Voss Family could easily cause them to miss their chance to rescue him.
