Chapter 98: Leon Vs Asura[2] [FIXED]
The giant hands swept across its torso like massive flyswatters, intending to crush the player into paste between its palm surfaces.
Leon simply leapt away, launching himself into the air just before the giant hands slammed together.
He avoided getting caught in the massive crushing trap, moving gracefully to one of its swinging arms instead.
His boots touched down on the monster’s blazing limb, and he swiftly climbed up its rocky length like an unstoppable predator.
He sprinted up the massive arm in less than a second, reaching its high left shoulder joint.
He wound up his fist, gathering the stacked, terrifying power accumulated from his previous Hydra Breaker strikes.
He slammed his fully-powered fist down directly at the shoulder joint with everything he had.
A massive, violent hole was instantly blown completely through the thick joint, severing the heavy stone tendons and volcanic rock in a single strike.
The immense force completely disconnected the massive limb from the main torso, and one of the giant’s eight arms dropped to the ground below with a loud, earth-shaking thud, kicking up a massive cloud of dust and debris upon impact.
Asura swung another of its massive, volcanic arms violently at Leon, trying to swat him dead off its shoulder like a pest.
The gigantic hand swept through the dusty air with crushing speed, generating a fierce gust of wind that blew shattered rock in all directions.
However, due to the huge difference in their sizes, Leon was like a tiny mosquito on the giant body of the powerful Asura.
His size made it extremely difficult for the massive entity to pinpoint his position and reach him effectively with its gigantic limbs.
Leon frowned, his eyes narrowing as he calculated the trajectory of the massive arm swinging straight toward his position.
He didn’t panic, lightly leaping away from the damaged, bleeding shoulder right onto the very arm that had just been swung at him.
He landed firmly on the giant’s forearm, his boots gripping the rough, lava-veined surface without losing his balance for a single second.
He quickly ran up the length of the moving arm, sprinting toward the upper torso.
’Activating so many skills is draining my mana... I need to end this fast!’ he thought.
Reaching the end of the limb, he launched himself into the air, jumping toward the giant’s chest once again.
Mid-flight, he was quickly intercepted by another massive hand sweeping through the dark dust to catch him out of the sky.
The colossal fingers closed in on him, threatening to crush him into fine paste inside its rocky palm.
He clicked his tongue in pure annoyance at the persistent interruption, pulling his right fist back, before driving it towards the incoming fists.
The hand was immediately blasted into smithereens with that punch, raining some to the ground asvolcanic stone and glowing embers rained down as the giant hand disintegrated, clearing his path to the main body.
Leon landed heavily on the giant’s chest with a powerful, downward-thrusting kick, channeling all his momentum into the impact.
The brutal force left another massive crater on the monster’s chest, shattering the surrounding rock formations into dust.
Asura stumbled back again from the catastrophic impact, its massive, ten-meter frame rocking violently as it almost fell backward to the ground.
The massive monster thrashed its remaining limbs in deep agony, its rocky feet dragging heavy trenches through the pulverized earth.
Leon stood firmly atop the trembling chest of the beast, lifting both of his fists high into the air.
He gathered every remaining drop of his strength into his arms, determined to shatter the core once and for all.
’This should do it.’ he thought.
With a fierce roar, he slammed both fists down simultaneously onto the deep crater already left on the giant’s chest.
The combined, double-handed strike exploded with a deafening bang that sounded like a mountain collapsing in on itself.
The stacked shockwave blasted a large, hollow hole straight through the giant’s entire body, tearing from its front chest all the way out its back.
The sound of the impact was like thunder, echoing loudly in the heavy air across the ruined landscape.
The deafening shockwave shattered the surrounding silence, vibrating through the rubble of the fallen headquarters building.
The shattered, smoking pieces of Asura’s chest fell heavily to the ground, raining down in a shower of pulverized volcanic rock.
Mixed together with the falling stone debris were faint, glowing orange particles floating softly through the dusty air.
Those glowing orange particles were actually the the remains of its core, which had been broken into pieces when Leon smashed through its chest.
Without the core to hold its gigantic body together, Asura staggered helplessly on its feet.
Thick, glowing cracks rapidly spread across every inch of its body, looking exactly like a sheet of fragile glass about to shatter into nothingness.
Leon nodded his head in satisfaction when he noticed the fatal, spreading fractures covering the giant’s entire body.
He didn’t linger on the falling monster, bending his knees and jumping straight down from the giant’s high chest.
He flipped smoothly through the dusty air, landing softly on the broken concrete ground with a soft thud.
Teon, on the other hand, was panicking uncontrollably, his pale face completely drained of all color.
He kept shivering violently as he watched his ultimate summon stagger back and forth like a dying titan.
He was already completely out of mana, as the catastrophic damage dealt to Asura was simply too much for his reserves to handle.
The continuous feedback from every single crater and broken joint had drained his internal pool to absolute zero.
Suddenly, with a final, hollow groan, Asura crumbled completely into countless pieces.
The towering ten-meter frame collapsed in on itself, and the heavy rubble crashed against the ground with an earth-shaking bang.
Giant boulders of dead rock and cold ash scattered across the floor, leaving nothing behind but a massive heap of stone ruins.
"No!!" Ten shouted at the top of his lungs, watching Asura fall apart before his eyes.
His trembling legs gave out beneath him, and he fell heavily onto his knees in the middle of the dust.
He clutched his aching chest, panting frantically in total exhaustion.
The sudden, violent destruction of Asura had taken a massive toll on his remaining mana, leaving him completely spent and helpless on the ground.
Teon barely had enough mana remaining in his system when he had first initiated the sigils to summon Asura into the real world.
He was simply hoping on using the giant, eight-armed demonic entity as a last resort to beat Leon and crush him into the dirt once and for all.
He had assumed that no matter how terrifying Leon’s capabilities were, a ten-meter summon possessing volcanic armor would easily prove to be too overwhelming for the young warrior to survive.
Now though, even that carefully calculated desperate plan has backfired on him completely in the most humiliating fashion possible.
Instead of killing his opponent, the feedback from the demon’s brutal destruction had completely drained Teon’s remaining mana, leaving him broken and utterly defenseless.
He weakly raised his head, forcing his heavy eyelids open to look up at Leon standing a few meters away from him.
Leon was still completely covered inside the translucent green dome of Aegis, his chest rising and falling as he panted softly to catch his breath.
Even though Leon was clearly exhausted, he remained standing tall and victorious amidst the rising dust.
Teon stared at his son’s unyielding posture, a faint, bitter smirk slightly appearing on his pale and bruised lips.
He coughed softly, his raspy voice breaking through the silence as he said, "I admit it, you’re strong... far stronger than me, as expected of my great son."
There was a strange mixture of genuine awe and defeat in his voice as he acknowledged the terrifying reality of the boy’s strength.
He tried to lean on his relationship to soften the atmosphere, offering the praise like a peaceful offering between family members.
Leon frowned deeply at the old man’s unexpected words, his eyes narrowing into cold, sharp slits.
His expression hardened instantly, showing zero warmth or affection for the man kneeling pathetically before him in the dirt.
He looked down at his father with utter disgust, saying in a ice-cold tone, "Don’t think I’ll spare you because you’re praising me."
He stood directly over the broken S-rank, looking down at him with spite burning in his eyes.
Suddenly heard a loud, frantic shout echo violently from behind him, breaking his focus from Teon.
It came from Yeon, charging wildly at him from the edge of the ruins with madness written across his face.
His eyes were bloodshot and wide with rage, his hands raised as tens of razor-sharp Void blades materialized out of thin air around his body.
The blades hummed with chaotic energy, floating in a dense, lethal formation as he sprinted forward to save his father at any cost.
Before the swarm of dark blades could launch forward, Teon weakly raised his right hand into the air toward his running son.
His arm trembled violently from sheer exhaustion, his voice barely rising above a strain as he said, "Stop..."
