Chapter 89: Climax Hit…Mission Complete
The sharp cry that escaped Holly snapped David out of the haze for a heartbeat.
He instinctively slowed.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice catching. "Should I stop?"
The answer came before he could even think.
"No!" Her fingers dug into him, refusing to let him pull away. "Don’t fucking stop."
The urgency in her voice erased his hesitation.
He moved again, easing back into a steady rhythm instead of rushing, watching every flicker that crossed her face. Every sound she made forced him to question himself. Was she overwhelmed? Was that pleasure? Pain? He couldn’t tell anymore. The line between the two seemed to blur with every breath she took.
Still, she kept pulling him closer.
Every time he slowed, she urged him on.
Every time he searched her expression for doubt, he found none.
So he surrendered to the moment.
The rhythm built naturally, each movement feeding the next until thought became impossible. His body moved almost on instinct now, carried forward by the warmth surrounding him and the reactions he drew from her. His muscles burned from the effort, but the sensation drowned everything else out.
"Yes..." Holly gasped, her voice breaking. "Just like that..."
Then louder—
"Don’t stop."
David swallowed.
She’s... really enjoying this.
That realization alone sent another rush through him.
His heartbeat pounded in his ears.
His breathing grew uneven.
He could already feel the pressure building low in his stomach, climbing faster than he expected.
"I’m..." His words came out between strained breaths. "I’m close."
Holly’s eyes met his.
The irritation, the pride, the walls she’d carried for so long—none of them were there anymore. There was only raw emotion staring back at him.
"Then don’t hold back."
Her voice was quieter now.
"Stay with me."
That was all it took.
The tension he’d been fighting finally broke, leaving him unable to hold himself back any longer. His body shuddered as the climax washed over him, and the frantic pace naturally slowed until all that remained were a few unsteady movements and the sound of both of them trying to catch their breath.
Eventually, even that stopped.
Silence settled over the room.
Not an awkward silence.
A tired one.
The kind that came after both body and mind had spent everything they had.
David collapsed onto the mattress, staring blankly at the ceiling while his chest rose and fell in heavy breaths. Every muscle in his body felt pleasantly exhausted.
Beside him, Holly shifted closer without saying anything. After a moment, she rested her head lightly against his chest, absentmindedly tracing circles across his skin.
For a while, neither of them spoke.
David found himself listening to the quiet rhythm of her breathing instead.
Then she let out a small laugh.
"You’ve gotten better."
He glanced down at her.
There wasn’t any teasing in her voice this time—only quiet approval.
"A lot better than Leon."
David couldn’t help the faint smile that tugged at the corner of his lips.
He hadn’t been expecting that comparison.
Somehow, hearing it from Holly mattered more than he wanted to admit.
David smiled to himself.
She really had wanted another round.
That realization alone was enough to make the lingering fatigue in his body feel insignificant. He lowered his forehead against hers for the briefest moment before their lips met again, slower this time, neither of them in any hurry to break apart.
When they finally did, he searched her face one last time.
There wasn’t the slightest hint of reluctance.
Only anticipation.
Alright...
He drew a slow breath, steadying himself before moving again.
Holly’s sharp intake of breath told him immediately that she’d been waiting for it. Her fingers tightened around him as he settled into a comfortable rhythm, careful at first, watching every little reaction that crossed her face.
She wasn’t hiding anything anymore.
Every soft gasp...
Every shaky breath...
Every instinctive movement toward him...
They answered the question he’d been quietly asking himself since the beginning.
She’s enjoying this.
The thought made the corners of his lips lift almost unconsciously.
His confidence returned little by little, each of her reactions encouraging the next movement until he no longer had to think about what pace felt right.
Then—
"Oh, David!"
The cry escaped Holly so suddenly that it pulled his attention completely onto her. Her legs trembled heavily, her body arching as the familiar hit of her climax soared through her.
At almost the same instant, a familiar translucent screen materialized before his eyes.

David blinked.
For a split second, he wondered if exhaustion had finally started making him hallucinate.
Then the glowing letters remained exactly where they were.
His heartbeat skipped.
Mission complete already? But I was just getting started
David noticed Holly’s breathing hadn’t steadied.
Each uneven breath escaped her lips a little slower than the last, her fingers still loosely holding onto him as though she wasn’t quite ready for the moment to end. Seeing that lingering anticipation on her face made him pause. He searched her eyes for hesitation, but found none. Instead, there was only quiet reassurance.
That single realization settled something inside him.
He leaned closer, brushing a gentle kiss against her forehead before drawing her back into his embrace. Every movement that followed was guided less by impulse and more by the way she responded to him. When she relaxed against him, he found himself relaxing too. When she smiled, however faintly, it encouraged him to stay in the moment instead of rushing through it.
