Chapter 500: The Abyss Rankings
"That’s a whole lot of Knights," Zion said.
"Are we fighting them all?" One clone asked.
"I don’t have the time to play around with them. This has dragged on for too long, and I honestly do not believe that Ragna thinks I’ll die here. There is simply no way." Silva said and stepped back. He shut the door before the knights could see him, but that was the wrong move.
Ragna had played by using a cosmic law to manipulate things. The cosmic law of the Knights of Ruin was that if you saw them, you had to die or they die. Right now, Silva had seen every one of them down there and he had died, which meant that they would all die.
The part that Ragna had banked on was the fact that they did not just die but rather the cosmic and divine energy in the knights exploded outward in a massive blast, and with hundreds down there, the blast would be strong enough to take down a small planet, so this ship would be nothing.
Silva and the clones felt it, the rise in energy, destructive energy.
"Shit, we fell into his plan," one clone said while facepalming.
"We have to get out." Another said and then transformed into the Joker of the Abyss without waiting. He flipped through a deck and pulled out a card. They all looked at what he pulled, and it was an orb made of Abyss energy to protect them from the explosion.
"Seems that will work," Silva said.
The clone threw the card into the air, and the ball formed and encompassed them. Immediately after, the explosion began to rip through the ship, a massive blast that tore the hull and frame apart in only seconds. The explosions moved like a wave, from inside to outside. The ship could not take it and was ripped apart.
In thirty seconds, the entire structure had been blown to shreds, creating a beautiful explosion in space, one so bright that even those on the planet below had to look up to see what was happening there.
When the explosion finally died away, Silva and the clones were in the ball floating in space, looking at the debris that flew in every direction with no particular care in their minds.
"Well, that was something," Zion said. He floated around for a bit and then flew down. "Either way, you completed the mission."
[Mission Completed]
[Rewards: Fragmented Map to a Lost Ancient Civilization]
Silva looked at the reward and then looked at Zion. "What?"
"Haha, don’t come at me yet. It was the most fitting reward for the mission. This map is connected to a civilization that was born near the creation of the entire universe but was lost.
You might find them useful if you find them."
"Yeah, if I find them. All I have is some fragmented map and whatnot." Silva complained.
"We can search for more, right?" One clone asked.
"Oh, definitely. In fact, I heavily suggest that you do, especially now that the empire is being created." Zion said.
Silva and the clones sensed something was wrong from the way Zion said that.
"Zion, do you know something that you are not telling us?" Silva asked.
"I know a lot of stuff that you don’t know." Zion said in his defense. They all stared at him, and he finally broke.
"Fine, when Ragna was developing me, he aimed to make me the most powerful creation ever. One that could be used to change the tides of an entire universe, and so I was stocked full of immense knowledge.
I came to learn about the empire creation plan and the fact that most of the Primordials already knew about it. They had spoken to Order long ago, and Order told them about it, telling them that he wanted to create a universal structure to combat the Abyss.
He said everything he has made till date was for this. His enforcers, the ones that chased you and everything else. It was to make the empire.
But that was not the craziest part. He stated that when he makes the empire, it meant that the Abyss has come for real, and the destruction that it was bringing might ruin the universe if not handled well.
I saw in your mind that you have met some Abyss monsters and even ranked the most powerful, but sadly, your ranking is flawed, as even the strongest that you have seen is still not considered a Rank One in the scale of things."
When he said that, Silva froze. He looked at Zion with shock in his eyes, and the clones carried the same face.
[Please note: Rift Monsters are the same as Abyss Monsters.]
"We fought a peak Rank Seven Abyss monster, one that created a rift and tried to consume an entire island." Silva said.
"Yes, the one you believed was about to awaken, and yes, you were right. The monster was indeed about to awaken." Zion explained.
"I believe there is a bit coming," one clone added.
"But it was still an infant in the rift. It is not considered anything special when it comes to the Abyss, and awakening? That’s only its ticket to become something. When an Abyss monster awakens, it must then go further to consume. Either it consumes other monsters in the rift to get stronger or comes here to eat.
Their kind does not give them enough nutrients like they need to grow, and so they come here, and they feast.
So let me update you on the rankings. Most of what you know is made by you or people around you, but now, this is what is made by Order and the Primordials.
All your rift summons from the Abyss, they all fall under the infant stage, barely able to do anything. If you wanted an actual summon, you must go after the Awakened.
So it goes, Infant, Awakened, Abyss Crawler, Abyssal Devourer, Void Lord, Chaos Dweller, Chaos Eater, Calamity Knight, Abyss King, Eternal Abyss Lord, and finally, the last one known to Order is Armageddon."
