Chapter 84: Tempest Invasion [1]
The sun-fly dissolved once more, its crimson data fragments drifting across the silent courtyard of Saint Jarden’s Cathedral to settle upon the stone ledge of Captain Eurenia’s quarters.
’Eurenia’ Roy watched from the sidelines once again.
Inside, the atmosphere was completely different.
There was no wild adrenaline or explosive heat; the room was dead silent, save for the shallow, guarded breathing of the captain.
Eurenia sat cross-legged on her mat, her face pale, her hands pressed tightly over her ruined chest.
The blunt-force backlash from General Tagar’s axe had left her sternum completely shattered, her internal mana channels fractured and leaking cold, stagnant energy.
Before her stood her three assigned catalysts. She looked at them not with fear, but with a fierce, cold desperation.
She had been weak. She had been brushed aside by a northern general.
That was going to change tonight.
"For the glory of the God of Beast" she uttered.
Steeling her resolve, Eurenia reached out and uncorked the 3rd-Grade Asura Blood-Flame Essence.
The moment the deep, burning crimson ember touched her lips, it felt as though she had swallowed a roaring furnace.
The essence violently surged straight into her fractured core, acting as an absolute fuel source.
Her Blood-Flame Armament skill ignited spontaneously, wrapping her entire body in a sudden, violent shroud of dark crimson fire.
The intense heat instantly began cooking away the residual frost mana clogging her meridians, expanding her internal mana capacity by terrifying proportions.
Her mana cores, which had been leaking mana, was forcefully sealed and overcharged, expanding to match the vast reserves of a Peak-enlightened stage Martial Master.
Yet, the sheer, explosive volume of this new flame threatened to rip her damaged chest completely apart.

[Subject’s Active Skill has evolved]
[Blood-Flame Armament -> Crimson Flame Spirit]
She inhaled deeply.
Predicting this, Eurenia immediately reached for the 2nd-Grade Titan Bone-Tempering Marrow Elixir, pouring the heavy silver paste down her throat.
A deep, metallic ringing—like a blacksmith striking an anvil—sounded from deep within her chest cavity.
The divine marrow rushed straight to her broken torso.
Eurenia gasped as her shattered sternum and cracked ribs were violently pulled back into alignment.
The kinetic alloy flooded her bone structure, fusing with her skeletal matrix at a cellular level.
Her Blade Tempering Physique active skill greedily absorbed the alloy, mutating her bones into a dense, metallic chassis.
The intense pain vanished, replaced by an unshakeable, armored density that could easily absorb the concussive shockwaves of an Ogre’s war hammer without flinching.

"Finally" she smiled.
With her frame fully reconstructed and her core filled with raging Asura flames, Eurenia reached for the final vial: the 2nd-Grade Evolution Advancement Elixir.
She downed the silver, mercury-like fluid.
The room instantly went cold as the crimson flames wrapped around her were sucked entirely into her body.
Her mana cores violently imploned, compressing the vast Asura blood-flames and the dense kinetic alloy into a single, blinding point of absolute pressure.
[Reporting.....]
[Your Dedicated Follower ’Eurenia’ has digested the blessing ’2nd Grade Evolution Advancement Elixir’]
[Your Dedicated Follower ’Eurenia’ will now evolve into the next cultivation realm]
[Subject has awakened his third mana core]
[Evolution will now begin]
[Enlightment Phase: Peak-Stage]
[Cultivation Status: Martial General]
"Urghhh" Eurenia moaned, the process was painful and terrifying but she held on, she observed as her body broke down and rewritten again.
It didn’t take long.
The bottleneck shattered.
The heavy, dominant aura of a Martial General exploded outward from her frame, causing the stone walls of her room to develop hairline fractures.
’Her evolution was a success’ Roy heaved a sigh of relief, he now has three Martial Generals under his command.
He was about to leave when the system interface flickered before his eyes once again.
[Ding!]
’Huh?’ Roy’s eyes slightly narrowed, "What is this?" he asked.
[Your Dedicated Follower ’Eurenia’ has gone through a stage of evolution]
[Subject has awakened an Active Skill]
[Active Skill: Turn Null]
"Another skill huh?" Roy smiled. "Turn Null, does it mean her active skill serves as a nullified of some type?"
"I’ll check it out later, she needs to return"
With that, Roy flew out of Eurenia’s chambers,
Eurenia’s eyes snapped open, burning with a pure, unyielding crimson fire, her hair floating wildly around her shoulders from the sheer kinetic draft.
Eurenia looked down at her completely healed chest, then at her hands, which now hummed with a terrifying, refined martial pressure.
She slowly lowered her head, bowing deeply toward the window where the tiny sun-fly watched from the dark.
"I’m now a Martial General" she clenched her fist, suppressing her happiness, Eurenia rose to her feet.
"I’ve grown stronger, beyond the strength of my father who was a Martial Master" she grinned.
"Just you wait Ryokan. I’ll make sure you die a horrible death"
***
It was midnight and the streets of Tempest was empty, all doors were locked, watchmen were on duty.
And sentries remained in their posts.
Only Roy was seen walking through the alley’s undisturbed, he’s currently in his Wolf-man form and guard who saw him bowed.
They recognized the Apostle of the God of Beast.
"We are up against three Martial Lords" Roy inhaled deeply, he was currently deep in his sea of thoughts.
Devising strategies as he prepare for Tempest first invasion of Norona City.
"Manuses and Croak will handle those humans, Trojan and Brenda will focus on the undead mummies"
"While Eurenia and Alisa will hunt down the Troll King" Roy’s eyes flickered for a second.
"But Eurenia is a Martial General and Alisa is still a Martial Master, the difference between a Martial General and a Martial Lord is vast"
"Do I still need to purchase more offensive skills from the Divine Market?" Roy asked.
"No" he shook his head, "I’m already low on faith points after spending so much, I’ll have to twist the invasion plans a little"
"Although I’m trying not to directly get involved but...." his movements came to a sudden halt as he turned his head.
Staring into the darkness, his eyes narrowed.
"But if there’s no other option left...."
"I’ll kill the Troll King myself!"
