Chapter 267: Preparing For The Perfect Night
Hesitantly, the Pirate Queen reached out, picking up the second cupcake and taking a small tentative bite.
She chewed...
"Mmm~"
Morwenna froze dead in her tracks.
Her stormy gray eyes stretched wide in utter mind-shattering shock as the heavenly flavor profile exploded across her palate like a divine firework.
’BY THE ANCIENT SEAS!’ Morwenna screamed in her own mind with her pride instantly crumbling into dust. ’THIS IS THE GREATEST THING I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!’
Forget being suspicious of the Nature Goddess... Morwenna completely abandoned her pirate dignity.
She shoved the rest of the cupcake into her mouth, chewing greedily, before grabbing the second crystal glass of white milk and chugging it down at light speed!
GULP... GULP... SPLASH!
Morwenna slammed the empty crystal glass back onto the wooden tray, wiping her lips with a loud satisfied huff.
She would never admit it out loud to Eluned’s face... but that baking was perfection.
"Hmph... it was... acceptable, I suppose," Morwenna lied grumpily, crossing her arms.
However... the second those words left Morwenna’s mouth—
THUMP!
A sudden violent and unnatural heavy thud echoed directly inside Morwenna’s brain.
Morwenna froze.
In a fraction of a second, her entire world completely paused.
The cool air in the vault went dead silent as the flickering torch flames along the walls froze in mid-burn.
Suddenly, the subterranean vault, the stone pillars, and the ceiling began to violently spin and distort in wild dizzying circles before Morwenna’s eyes.
’What... what is this...?!’ Morwenna thought, her mind going into an immediate panic.
Her vision blurred into dark swirling halos of green and purple light.
Her knees buckled with her heavy muscular legs feeling as light and useless as wet paper!
This food... the milk... IT HAD BEEN DRUGGED!
Morwenna was an SSS-Ranked being.
Over her centuries of life on the high seas, she had ingested lethal ocean poisons, assassin toxins, and heavy dwarven moonshines that could melt iron... and her body had easily neutralized every single one of them.
If this had been a normal high-tier sleeping drug... Morwenna’s core would have burned it out of her bloodstream in a second.
...But this was NOT a normal drug.
The substance infused into those treats was a god-tier divine paralytic... specially refined by an ancient Nature Goddess using primordial spirit-herbs, synthesized at a dosage several hundred times higher than any living entity in the Sovereign Realm could ever hope to process.
Morwenna frantically tried to ignite her internal SSS-Rank water core to forcefully burn the toxin out of her veins.
’Burn... BURN!’ Morwenna screamed internally, trying to channel her mana.
Nothing happened.
Her divine mana channels were completely locked down... paralyzed by the overwhelming, suffocating weight of the divine natural sedative.
Morwenna staggered backward with her boots slipping on the granite floor as she desperately tried to maintain her balance.
SWIRL...
She forced her blurry, spinning eyes to look forward toward the vault entrance... toward Eluned.
Through her wild triple-layer blurry vision, Morwenna didn’t see one Eluned.
She saw three overlapping spectral visions of the Nature Goddess standing in the doorway.
And all three of those spectral visions carried the exact same... terrifying... unnatural... wide smile.
Eluned’s mouth was stretched open in a wide, Cheshire-cat grin that reached almost from ear to ear.
Her bright green eyes were no longer innocent or shy... they were glowing with an intense and psychotic divine light that illuminated the dark vault.
It was a smile of madness!
Morwenna’s soul shivered in pure horror as a cold suffocating terror gripped her chest.
’T-This...’ Morwenna thought, her mind screaming in dazed panic, ’THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GODDESS OF NATURE?! THIS IS A MONSTER!’
Morwenna frantically turned her blurry head to look for her Captain... to warn Silas, to get him to draw his sword!
"C-Captain..." Morwenna slurred out weakly.
She looked down at the stone floor beside her.
Silas was already lying flat on his back on the cold granite.
His eyes were completely rolled back into his head with his muscular limbs limply sprawled out, and a thick frothy trail of white milk was slowly trickling out from the corner of his mouth.
He was thoroughly knocked out cold... drugged into slumber by Eluned.
’CAPTAIN!’ Morwenna screamed in her mind.
Morwenna’s legs completely gave out beneath her.
THUD!
The Dread Queen collapsed heavily onto her back on the stone floor with her Corsair falling out of her reach.
Yet, through stubborn pirate willpower, Morwenna desperately began crawling backward across the cold granite, using her elbows to drag her paralyzed body toward her fallen sword.
Eluned stood in the doorway, holding the empty wooden tray.
She looked down at the crawling paralyzed Pirate Queen with her unnaturally wide smile twitching slightly as she let out a soft and deeply disappointed sigh.
"Strange..." Eluned murmured smoothly, her voice echoing with a chilling double-toned divine resonance through the vault. "I was sure I spiked those treats with a dosage much higher than even an immortal like you could handle... yet you’re still conscious."
STEP! STEP!
Eluned casually tossed the wooden tray to the side.
CLATTER!
She took two slow deliberate steps forward with her delicate bare feet making soft, echoing sounds against the cold floor.
Morwenna desperately reached her trembling hand out with her fingers inches away from the hilt of her sword—
Through her fading dizzy haze, a single final word echoed repeatedly in Morwenna’s ears, sounding like a death knell.
"Checkmate..."
BOOM!
Eluned raised her delicate apron-clad foot... and slammed her heel down directly onto Morwenna’s face.
BANG!
Morwenna’s head slammed hard against the granite floor.
The last thing the Dread Queen saw before her consciousness was dragged into pitch-black oblivion... was the glowing green eyes of the Nature Goddess looking down at her...
Then there was nothing...
Eluned stood in the center of the training vault with her bare feet resting lightly on the cold granite floor.
She looked down at the two bodies lying limply at her feet... Morwenna, the Pirate and Silas, her beloved Gold Core Lord.
Both of them were completely knocked out cold.
Eluned looked down at Morwenna’s face.
The Pirate Queen was lying flat on her back with her sharp features relaxed in a deep drug-induced slumber.
A small dark smudge from Eluned’s heel rested right on her cheek.
THUD!
Eluned raised her delicate right foot and brought her heel slamming down directly onto Morwenna’s nose.
THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!
She stomped five more times in rapid succession with her frilly white-and-green apron fluttering with every aggressive downward kick.
"Huuu..." Eluned let out a long deeply satisfied breath, resting her hands on her hips as her cheeks flushed with an exhilarated pink.
Truth be told... it felt extraordinarily thrilling to stomp directly on this arrogant Pirate’s face.
So much so that the ancient Nature Goddess genuinely wanted to keep kicking her for another ten minutes just for the joy of it.
However, after solid stomps that would have pulverized a steel fortress, Eluned drew her leg back and inspected the results.
There wasn’t a single scratch on Morwenna’s face.
Not a bruise, not a cut, and not even a single drop of blood. The SSS-Rank Pirate’s skin possessed such an absurd physical density that Eluned’s stomps merely wiped away the dirt on her cheek.
It was almost as if the unconscious woman was actively teasing her from inside her slumber.
Eluned pouted slightly, pulling her leg back.
’Tch... washed-up trench-rat,’ Eluned thought, shaking her head. ’I think those stomps are enough for now.’
As a former Spirit of the World Tree, there were ancient sacred divine laws woven into her very soul... lines of conduct that a higher spirit was never supposed to cross.
Using sneaky underhanded sedatives to poison her allies and abuse her companions was technically a massive violation of her original nature realm code.
...But as of tonight, Eluned wasn’t just a Spirit of the World Tree. Tonight, she was going to become her Lord’s official devoted wife.
And so, regarding those ancient outdated divine rules...
FLICK!
Eluned raised her right hand into the air, holding up her middle finger directly toward the vaulted ceiling of the room with an unbothered smirk.
"Fuck you, motherfucker," Eluned whispered softly to the ancient sky laws.
The second those profane words left her lips, Eluned felt a strange, subtle vibration in the air... almost as if the lingering unconscious soul of her Lord was staring at her in bewildered shock from inside his dazed slumber.
Eluned tilted her head, looking down at Silas’s knocked-out frame, her green eyes narrowing defensively as she pouted her soft lips.
"What?" Eluned argued back to his unconscious soul, crossing her arms over her chest. "Morwenna uses bad words all the time so I can’t? That’s completely unfair, My Lord."
She looked down at his handsome sleeping face, her heart swelling with an overwhelming obsessive warmth.
The drug she had used on them wasn’t some cheap commercial sleeping potion gotten from just anywhere.
Back during her ancient days residing at the roots of Yggdrasil, Eluned had spent thousands of years studying the sacred forbidden botany of the Sovereign Realm.
She knew the secret recipes for several ancient god-slaying flora... herbs so terrifyingly potent that a single crushed leaf could force even an immortal cosmic deity into a catatonic slumber.
When she had first summoned her divine garden inside the Blessed Land, she had quietly cultivated a small hidden patch of those exact same slumber-roots near the greenhouse.
And after Thora had previously knocked her out cold using the Blessed Drink... Eluned had resolved never to let herself be out-maneuvered again.
She had harvested the rare slumber-herbs, carefully refined their liquid essence, and infused it directly into the evening treats she had baked today.
Silas had promised her earlier at the Keep gates that tonight... he would do anything she wanted.
He was going to make her a proper woman.
And in Eluned’s sharp mind, her Lord couldn’t possibly fulfill his promise properly if all these other aggressive lingering women in the territory kept interrupting them, barging into his bedroom, or trying to drag him down to the training vaults for late-night sword practice.
Therefore, Eluned had devised a simple flawless master plan...
She was going to drug the entire territory.
Every single woman and every mount living under Silas’s territory would be put to sleep for the night... leaving her completely alone with her Lord until sunrise.
"It’s time to clean up," Eluned whispered cutely.
SNAP!
Eluned snapped her slender fingers!
RUMBLE... FWOOSH!
The stone floor of the vault violently cracked open.
Two massive thick emerald-green tree roots... each as wide as a man’s torso and soft as velvet erupted out of the earth beneath the granite floorboards.
The divine roots writhed through the air like intelligent obedient serpents, hovering before their Goddess waiting for commands.
A deep rosy blush covered Eluned’s pale face as she pointed her finger toward the floor.
"You," Eluned instructed the left root softly, "pick up this washed-up pirate woman and carry her to a random guest room in the lower wing. Seal the door behind her."
She then turned her green eyes toward the right root, her tone softening into a sweet, reverent purr. "And you... gently pick up my Lord, and carry him up to our master suite."
The two divine roots bowed their tips in immediate obedience.
SWOOSH.
The left root wrapped itself around Morwenna’s waist, lifting the unconscious Pirate off the floor like a sack of grain.
The right root slid gently beneath Silas’s broad back and legs, cradling his six-foot-two muscular frame with extreme cushioned care.
As the root lifted Silas into the air, Eluned stepped forward, raising her hands to pause the vine.
She stood on her tiptoes, leaning her face up to plant a soft sweet and lingering kiss right on Silas’s closed lips.
SMOOCH!
Eluned pulled back slightly with her cheeks burning a bright lovely shade of pink as she gently patted his warm cheek with her hand.
"Don’t worry, My Lord," Eluned whispered lovingly into his ear, her voice dripping with devoted affection. "I will eliminate all of the annoying disturbances first beforehand... then we can have our special night."
The root holding Silas bobbed its tip, slowly carrying him out of the vault and floating him up the grand stone staircase toward the second-floor master suite.
