Chapter 339: Return To Earth
Silas looked down at her trembling form.
Her nicotine withdrawal, combined with the extreme mana exhaustion and the magical alcohol was sending her nervous system into complete shock.
She looked pathetic.
Silas reached down and firmly grabbed her wrist.
He gently pried her trembling fingers off his black tunic.
"Smoking isn’t good for you, Evelyn," Silas told her bluntly with his golden eyes completely cold as he placed her hand back down onto the mattress.
"It will do more harm than good," Silas stated pragmatically. "Especially in your current physical state. You need sleep, not poison."
Evelyn glared at him.
"Bullshit," Evelyn hissed aggressively, trying to sit up again.
Her teeth were chattering.
"You don’t understand," Evelyn gasped out, her eyes entirely frantic. "I need it. It slows my brain down. I can’t stop thinking about the bodies. I can’t stop thinking about the blood... Give me my damn lighter, Silas."
She reached for him again.
POK!
A slender pale hand suddenly reached out from the darkness.
Elm brought two fingers down and sharply tapped Evelyn directly on the forehead.
A microscopic burst of concentrated sleep magic surged directly into Evelyn’s brain and Evelyn’s eyes instantly rolled back.
She slumped heavily back onto the pillows, falling into a deep dreamless induced sleep as the suite fell completely silent.
Silas stood next to the bed, looking at the unconscious girl while Elm stood on the other side of the mattress.
The white-haired Hero stared down at her Lord, her silver eyes filled with heartbreaking guilt.
"It is mostly my fault," Elm whispered softly to the quiet room. Silas looked up at her as Elm reached down, gently pulling the heavy woolen blanket up over Evelyn’s shivering shoulders.
"When we first started out our journey which was in an Unknown Zone," Elm explained with her voice cracking slightly. "We were constantly under attack. We never slept as the stress was killing her."
Elm gently brushed a strand of black hair out of Evelyn’s face.
"She started smoking just to stay awake on the night watches," Elm confessed bitterly. "If I had just stopped her during our earlier days... if I had been stronger and taken the night shifts myself... this whole thing wouldn’t be happening. I let her ruin her own body to protect me."
Silas listened to the Hero’s confession.
He looked at Elm’s guilty tear-filled silver eyes but he didn’t offer her empty platitudes.
"She is the Lord, Elm," Silas stated firmly, his deep voice anchoring the room. "She made her own choices to protect her people so you cannot bear the weight of her decisions."
Elm looked up at him, wiping a tear from her cheek.
"You did your job today," Silas assured her cleanly. "You gave everything you had. Now, let her rest."
Silas turned around and walked to the heavy oak door.
"Take care of your Lord, Elm," Silas ordered quietly.
"I will," Elm promised fiercely.
Silas stepped out of the room.
CLICK!
He closed the heavy wooden door firmly behind him.
Silas walked out of the residential complex as he stepped directly into the freezing biting evening wind of the Umbral Basin.
He shoved his hands deep into the pockets of his dark trousers, walking slowly down the paved stone pathway toward the Keep.
The territory was entirely silent as the massive Lord War was truly over.
Silas looked up at the dark, starry sky above the Blessed Land.
He didn’t hate Evelyn...
On the contrary, he actually liked her pretty well.
She was a brilliant tactician, a fiercely loyal Lord and she didn’t put up with any of the arrogant high-society bullshit that plagued successful people.
But all of that desperate pathetic talk about smoking in the bedroom... It left a bitter disgusting taste in his mouth.
It reminded him entirely of everything he had left behind.
It reminded him of all the bleak depressing reality he had endured before he had reincarnated into the body of Silas Graves.
’Even while I was in the slums...’
Earth was a decaying world.
’There was nothing good waiting at the front of it all.’ Silas thought with his boots crunching on the stone path.
He remembered the hospital rooms.
He remembered the smell of the sterile bleach and the endless beeping monitors.
He remembered watching people completely destroy their own bodies with terrible habits, desperately chasing a temporary high to escape the grinding misery of modern life.
It didn’t really matter if this world’s Earth had a vastly greater amount of medical power.
It didn’t matter if they had potions, healing magic, and Lord Cores.
’It is all the exact same thing at the end of the day,’ Silas thought.
Death always collected its debts.
If you constantly poisoned your own core, if you constantly relied on a crutch to escape reality, you would eventually break.
Evelyn was strong but she was actively killing herself to manage her stress.
Silas exhaled a long breath into the freezing air.
’None of my business though...’
He reached the towering massive oak doors of the Keep as he pushed the heavy iron handles open and stepped inside the grand foyer.
He closed the doors firmly behind him.
THUD!
The Keep was completely silent as the roaring hearth fires had burned down to glowing red embers.
Silas looked around the empty shadowy halls.
’Right...’ Silas remembered internally.
He had ordered Aeliana, Rowenna, and Kadi to stay down in the massive stone barracks for the night.
They were down there explicitly to watch over the seventy-two new Unmovable Wall recruits, just in case any of the prisoners decided to get bold and start a riot in the dark.
Not that it actually mattered.
Brida and Gunnhild were down there too. If a riot started, the Titan Bastion would literally throw the perpetrators through a stone wall.
Silas walked slowly up the grand, curving marble staircase.
He reached the second-floor landing and walked down the plush carpeted hallway toward his bedroom.
As he turned the final corner, he stopped.
Standing perfectly still outside his heavy wooden bedroom door was Eluned.
The Nature Goddess looked absolutely breathtaking in the dim candlelight of the hallway.
She was still wearing her elegant green sundress, the fabric clinging perfectly to her stunning hourglass curves as her flowing silver-green hair spilled flawlessly over her shoulders.
She no longer had that aggressive flushed drunk look on her cheeks from the Mess Hall arm-wrestling match.
The Blessed Drinks processed quickly through SSS-Rank cores so she was completely sober.
And she looked at him with an expression of overwhelming devotion.
"Welcome back, My Lord," Eluned greeted him softly.
Her melodic voice sent an instant electric shiver directly down Silas’s spine.
"Elu..." Silas breathed out, stepping closer to her.
Eluned didn’t wait for him to finish as she stepped forward and wrapped her soft, slender arms entirely around his muscular neck.
She hugged him tightly, pressing her warm body flawlessly against his chest.
"Congratulations on winning the war," Eluned whispered sincerely into his ear. "You were magnificent today."
Silas wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her flush against him.
He buried his face in her hair, breathing in the intoxicating addictive scent of fresh rain and blooming flowers.
Eluned slowly pulled her head back just an inch.
She leaned her soft warm lips directly against the shell of his ear.
"Would you like your favorite food tonight...?" Eluned whispered, her voice dropping into a dangerous seductive tone.
She gently bit his earlobe.
"...Which is me?"
Silas completely froze.
His composure shattered into a million pieces.
Just hearing her whisper those words in that specific sultry tone made him instantly hard against the fabric of his trousers.
The overwhelming pent-up adrenaline from the battlefield, the stress of the negotiations, and the intense physical proximity entirely overrode his brain.
Silas didn’t say a single word.
He grabbed the heavy brass handle of his bedroom door and he pushed it violently open.
BANG!
Silas and Eluned completely stumbled through the doorway with their mouths entirely locked together in a desperate ferocious kiss.
Silas kicked the heavy wooden door firmly shut behind them.
CLICK!
They didn’t even make it three steps into the room before the clothes started flying.
Silas aggressively gripped the delicate fabric of her green sundress, pulling it smoothly over her head and tossing it carelessly onto the floor.
Eluned frantically unbuttoned his black tunic with her soft hands desperately mapping the hard muscles of his chest and abdomen and in mere moments, they fell onto the massive, plush mattress.
FWUMP!
The entire massive wooden bed frame violently groaned under the sudden, intense physical impact.
"Silas~ Go hard~" Eluned moaned softly against his lips, her emerald eyes glowing with raw lust.
Silas pinned her wrists gently but firmly to the pillows, positioning himself perfectly between her soft thighs.
He didn’t hold back as he drove forward.
"Ahhn~!"
Eluned let out a loud high-pitched gasp as he fully entered her with her back arching entirely off the mattress.
Soon, the only sound echoing in the massive dimly lit master bedroom was the loud moaning of the Nature Goddess as Silas thrusted relentlessly into her.
The bed frame violently slammed against the far wall with every single powerful movement.
THUD! PAH! THUD!
It was a primal unrestrained celebration of victory.
’I see...’
However, inside the massive pitch-black walk-in wardrobe of the master bedroom.
Morwenna was completely trapped.
The pirate was sitting heavily on the dark wooden floor of the closet, surrounded entirely by Silas’s clean tunics and heavy leather coats.
She had sneaked into his room earlier in the evening...
She had meticulously planned to ambush him, fully intending to use the seductive lessons she had supposedly learned to completely force her way into his bed.
But Eluned had arrived first and now, Morwenna was stuck.
’How did she manage to do it?’
She didn’t dare use her magic to escape.
The mana of teleporting out of the room would instantly alert Eluned’s SSS-Rank senses, and she would never live down the humiliation of being caught hiding in the closet like a creepy voyeur.
So, Morwenna sat in the dark and she listened.
She had enhanced S-Rank hearing after all and she couldn’t turn it off unless she purposely made herself deaf so...
She heard absolutely everything.
PAH! PAH! PAH!
She heard the wet slippery sound of their bodies slapping together.
"Elu~ You’re tighter than usual~"
She heard Silas’s deep breathless grunts.
She heard Eluned... her elegant and perfectly composed Goddess friend screaming and moaning like a feral beast.
"Yes... harder... Silas, please~" Eluned’s voice echoed clearly through the wooden slats of the closet door. "Cum in meeee~"
Morwenna let out a silent terrified gulp.
"Ah..."
Her stormy gray eyes were wide as saucers in the darkness.
The terrifying force of each of Silas’s thrusts literally vibrated through the floorboards and the physical shockwaves hit Morwenna exactly where she was sitting as the pirate captain’s breathing grew incredibly shallow.
"Haah~"
Her heart hammered violently against her ribs.
A completely foreign overwhelming heat began to spread rapidly through her lower abdomen.
The spot between her legs suddenly became incredibly wet.
’It’s wetter than usual... am I turned on from getting my opportunity stolen?’
Morwenna’s hand trembled violently as she slowly reached down and she touched the damp fabric of her dark trousers.
She had never ever experienced this before.
’Is this...’ Morwenna thought frantically with her face burning hotter than a furnace in the pitch-black closet as she leaned through the cracks to see.
’Is this... sex?!’
On that day, Morwenna realized she had a kink...
She had a kink for being cucked.
...
[The next Afternoon]
FLASH!
Silas materialized silently in the center of his Earth apartment.
The transition from the Sovereign Realm back to his building in Silverleaf was entirely seamless, devoid of any violent flashing lights or portal noise.
He stood in the middle of his quiet moderately furnished living room.
"Elu really drained me..." Silas muttered aloud to the empty room.
His legs were genuinely trembling.
The Nature Goddess had zero limits once she got going.
Her SSS-Rank Vitality meant she never got tired, while his newly advanced Gold Core was forced to work overtime just to keep up with her demands.
He had barely slept two hours but so far, the transition was good.
Evelyn had left the Sovereign Realm an hour before him, heading back to her own location on Earth to prep for their afternoon meeting.
Silas walked slowly toward the couch, running a calloused hand through his messy dark hair.
He grabbed the hem of his black shirt.
SWISH!
He pulled the shirt smoothly over his head, tossing it casually over the back of the living room sofa.
It was a comfortable habit that he had recently developed.
’It’s my house,’ Silas reasoned pragmatically. ’Why the hell should I be covering myself up?’
He walked over to the small coffee table as he picked up his sleek Earth smartphone.
The screen instantly lit up, flooded entirely with notifications.
He checked his messages.
Two completely unknown numbers had been aggressively messaging him since yesterday.
’I cannot deal with this shit right now,’ Silas thought, dismissing the notifications completely without looking at them.
He had seventy-five million credits to launder and a fake identity to build today.
DING!
Another text message popped up on the top of the screen.
This one was from the number he had manually entered into Evelyn’s datapad back in the Mess Hall.
He quickly saved the contact.
[Evelyn]: Turn on your location.
