It was Friday, June 9th.

Today, SillaJen went up without hesitation.

The ants went up well maybe because they were far away.

I had only one stock in my possession at the moment.

It was almost all over the place.

I got up from the chair and looked out the window.

And I saw the blue sky above Yeouido Park.

[Silagen rises infinitely towards that blue sky...] What happens if the clinical trial fails?]

SillaJen seemed to forget all the cash it currently has as development costs if no sales were made in other parts.

In that case, SillaJen must go in the order of mourning.

But I thought it would take three or four more years to find out if I wanted to go by then.

It occurred to me that if the stock doubled in there, I could sell it and get out of it.

But there was one thing to watch out for.

If SillaJen rises for a day or two and cools down even if it hits the upper limit, that's also a problem.

Because I have a lot of stock and it takes a long time to sell.

I was thinking about this, but lawyer Yoon called me.

"Is it your brother? It's me."

"Yes, brother."

"How long will your brother keep Mr.Jesoo on the station?"

"I told him to stop, but he keeps going out. If he gets sick, he'll either resign or take a leave of absence."

"Haha, it's just like the taste. Mihyang also says she will continue working at a law firm in Hwachon until just before giving birth.

"Really?"

"And now he's in charge of an international lawsuit, so he can't pull himself out."

"Excuse me, but Mihyang, how much does your wife earn a month?”

"How much I can't get. Does he get paid about $200,000 a year? I'm sure that's about it."

"Whew. $200,000 is a big corporate CEO in South Korea. What's the starting salary of a top U.S. company college graduate, about $85,000 a year now?"

"But compared to my brother's income, he still has wrinkles in front of the pupa.”

"Hahahaha. You're great at catching wrinkles in front of the pupa."

"Hehe. I learned it from a colleague at our law firm."

"Be nice to your wife."

"Be nice to your sister, too, Je-su. And what I called today is that I promised James Lee for lunch so I could let him know that I was supposed to be in Yeouido by 12."

"Yes, then stop by our office after the meal. Let's have a cup of tea.”

"No, that's not it, James Lee and my three brothers and I called because we wanted to have dinner together."

"Me too?"

"I think there's something to argue about. About the Korean-American business people's club.”

"Well, you said you wouldn't be president.”

"James Lee has decided to accept the chairman. Instead, the condition is that my younger brother will be the vice-chairman, and after two years in office, I will select a new chairman.”

"I'm a person who wants to live quietly."

"Haha, who doesn't know his brother's personality? I know everything."

"Then where should I go by 12 o'

"It's a Japanese restaurant called Jingua near Yeouido Station. See you there."

"Okay."

I sometimes checked the stock price of SillaJen and read most of the time.

I read monthly magazines, weekly magazines, newspapers, and even columns of advertisements. This is how the time went.

General Manager Chang has come to visit me.

"It's almost twelve o'clock, aren't you going to dinner?“

"Huh? Is it already 12 o'clock? But I have an appointment today. Have a meal with the staff first."

General Manager Chang stared at me blankly.

It seemed strange to me that I had an appointment with someone who was living with little outside appointments.

Lawyer Yoon and James Lee were first in the Japanese restaurant "Jinga."

"I'm sorry I'm late."

"We were just there."

I shook hands with two people and sat down.

Yoon even ordered Hirezake with a formal dish and accompaniment.

Lawyer Yoon said, taking a sip of sake.

"It's the first time we've met at Gapyeong pension, right?”

"I think so."

"It's not Gapyeong, but it's nice to have a meal with a couple of people who gathered last time in town.”

"That's true."

"It would be nice to meet up with stay-at-home housewives and do volunteer work."

"Good word."

I thought Mrs. James Lee or Mrs. Hubert Palmer would be really bored staying at home.

I thought it would be nice to meet once a month and breathe.

Furthermore, they are not good at Korean and have few friends on Korean soil!

A Japanese restaurant worker brought food and looked at us as we three spoke only in English.

James Lee and Yoon speak native English, but I spoke Korean.

I quickly became a Korean.

James Lee said again when the waiter left.

"Moellis & Co.'s Linda Sim is coming to Korea."

"We've already received reports from employees that Linda Shim is coming."

"Linda Sim came in on Sunday.I will visit Group A on Monday. And they promised to meet me on Tuesday. So I'm going to launch the Korea-U.S. Businessmen Club on Tuesday Including Linda Sim."

"You've told Linda Sim everything, haven't you?"

"I did. Linda Deep saw a member of the Korean-American business club and said she would be happy to participate."

"Then we'll have to make a grand opening of the business people's club."

"What do you mean grandiose?"

"Let's rent a condensed hotel. They hang banners and call reporters.”

"You call a reporter? Are the reporters calling?”

"Yes, I'll call you and you'll be there."

"Really?"

Actually, I don't know a reporter.

This is what he said in trust of Chang. The reporter is Jang's friend.

The two seemed surprised anyway.

"It's great to call a reporter on the phone."

"Oh, well... That much!"

Lawyer Yoon said with a slightly worried look.

"If we rent a hotel and do such an event, it would cost us money..."

"Don't worry about that. Brother, I'm here, aren't I?"

Lawyer Yoon and James Lee smiled relievedly at the remark.

James Lee said.

"In fact, it helps the business. If you have a Korean company that wants to contact Moellis & Co., you can ask President Choi or you can ask me. Also, there may be people who want to go through President Choi rather than us directly for S bank financing.“

"Maybe. That's not because I know an employee at S bank, I know the branch manager directly."

"As I said at Gapyeong Pension last time, wouldn't a piece come out if Choi met regularly with me, the head of the global bank's S branch, and Moelis Enko, the chief fund manager of global private equity firm?"

"Haha, I'm looking forward to it. But the main purpose of the Korean-American business club is business."

"It's not wrong, but it also serves as a way to find a rewarding job for wives, so it has two purposes. Third, we can deepen our friendship."

Yoon also said after taking a sip of sake.

"My brother said he didn't want to be the chairman, so James Lee decided to be the chairman. I thought James Lee was the head of S bank's Seoul branch, but he is the head of Asia's general affairs division, so I think he is a good president.”

"Yes."

"Then let your brother lend you a conference room at the Conrad Hotel and hang up a banner."

"Okay. Then let's do it next Tuesday at 1 p.m. We can make an announcement that we've organized a club at 1:00 p.m.

"Good, then!"

Again, we had a meal with a smack.

This restaurant was worth eating because it had a full meal and barley dried corvina.

I said, gnawing at the flesh of dried yellow corvina.

"But why is Linda Sim meeting Group A?“

Group A is greedy for its chairman, so it borrowed indiscriminately and increased its affiliates. The number of affiliates has increased in recent years, making it one of the top 10 conglomerates in terms of assets."

"It's on the Internet.”

"Because the chairman's greed is endless, the bank's chief, the first creditor, asked me to come in and take over Group A, so I turned it down."

"That's what happened.”

"Now the first creditor bank is putting pressure on Group A."

"What pressure?"

"I think we're putting pressure on the affiliates to clean up some of them. Otherwise, they're saying they'll withdraw the bonds. I guess you said that because you were worried that the bank might collapse if you didn't get the money from Group A."

"Well, that's why you meet Linda Sim.”

"If we organize the affiliates, we should proceed quietly. If it becomes known, Group A's stock price will plummet overnight, as rumors spread that Group A has a weak financial structure."

"Maybe so."

Also, creditors will clamor for my money when they clean up their affiliates. They'll be noisy before they clean up their affiliates, so they'll want to keep it strictly confidential.”

"But if we clean up our affiliates, we're still in the top 10 chaebol groups?”

"It's going to be easy."

"Anyways, when Linda Sim comes, we can get a specific outline."

"The covetous chairman is still worth holding on to, so I'm just going to talk to Linda Sim. We'll hold out enough to hold on to our profits, and we'll sort it out later."

"Then this time we'll be exploring each other."

"You must see it that way."

I had a feeling that it would be okay to pick up and eat one of A Group's affiliates.

However, it was obvious that the unit would be transferred to the chaebol affiliate.

If I'm greedy, I might do something wrong and become like Group A chairman.

If you are too greedy at any time, you will be in trouble.

Yoon said.

"I can't say greed is necessarily bad. Controlled greed may motivate you to do business."

I looked at James Lee and said,

Group A chairman has been famous since I was young. I'm sure he's quite old now.“

"I'm in my 60s. My son is the executive director of the company and my daughter is in her late 20s, and she is the executive director of Group A's planning office."

I smiled inwardly.

In their late 20s, Hong is about the age of assistant manager, but he is already a managing director.

After finishing my meal, I stood up.

"Then please come to the Conrad Hotel with your wives by 1 p.m. next Tuesday."

I came back to the office.

I checked the most curious about SillaJen.

I felt like I would touch 16,000 won if I did well at the closing price today.

I called in General Manager Chang.

"We're going to have a Korean-American business club at 1 p.m. next Tuesday. I would appreciate it if you could call my friend who is a reporter for the business magazine.”

"But did you say you had 10 members?"

"Yes."

"If we had a presentation in front of reporters, we'd have to have a clapping party... ...so let's get all of our staff there that day.”

"Then shall we arrange the table and proceed like a wedding reception?”

"That's good, too. Also, it would be nice to prepare pork cutlet and a simple drink. We'd like to set up a few more tables and have E Tower staff and S bank staff present."

"We'll just have six tables for about 10 people, right?”

"That's good enough."

Talking to General Manager Chang, the stock market's closing time has come.

I quickly checked the end price of SillaJen. It was 16,050 won.

The unit price of the purchase rose 39.5 percent from 11,500 won, making me 11 billion won.

The current valuation was 39 billion won from 28 billion won in investment.

I turned to myself and smiled.
