Slash!

The blade broke through the skin and penetrated inside as he swept it across the flank.

A long red line appeared in a flash as he withdrew the blade.

Pfff!

Blood gushed forth from the red line, splattering across the ground.

At the same time, the snake beast slithered to the other side.

Hiss!

The Snake Beast hissed, feeling the searing pain. The blade wound had drained a lot of its strength.

Jeremy Night turned around and looked at the beast again. The beast was massive; if not for its sheer size, he would have cleaved its body in two.

To the side, the Beast Tamers stood stunned. They had never seen a Beast Tamer fight against Corrupted Beasts like this.

Apart from senior beast tamers killing lower-tier beasts with aura pressure, such a feat was unheard of. The situation here was completely different.

Jeremy Night, a young man, had injured the Tier-5 Snake Beast despite being only a Tier-4 Beast Tamer.

They saw Jeremy Night’s blade penetrate the beast’s body and understood it had to be a blade skill. They had never seen such a fast blade before.

"How is it possible?" the female Beast Tamer exclaimed in surprise. She couldn’t believe it, and neither could the others.

The fellow Beast Tamers were in disbelief as well. They didn’t know what had just happened. Jeremy Night had fought without even using his own beast.

Swoosh!

The Tier-5 Snake Beast did not give up. Despite the bleeding, it coiled up again to attack.

Its massive body leaped forward through the air.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night waited for the beast’s second attack. He used his second eye power to find its weakness.

He confirmed that the neck area was less protected than the mid-body. This time, he was going to use the same advanced blade skill instead of starlight power.

He still didn’t want others to know about his ability.

Swoosh!

The beast got closer to him in a flash. Its massive, menacing head with deadly fangs was ready to strike.

This time, he delayed his reaction. When those fangs were only a couple of inches away from him, he adjusted his body and activated "Explosive Steps."

He shifted away from the front at a sharp angle before plunging the blade into its neck.

Stab!

Almost the full length of the blade sank inside, severing vital blood vessels. It all happened in an instant. He immediately withdrew the blade and used the same footwork to back away.

Pfff!

Blood spurted from the wound with full force.

Hiss!

The snake beast hissed loudly in pain. It had already lost most of its strength due to bleeding.

Now, with a severe blade wound in its neck and critical blood vessels severed, the snake beast lost the ability to move.

Thud!

Its massive body crashed to the ground, the vertical pupils of the snake slowly losing their luster.

Jeremy Night used his second eye power and watched its life force drain away. It didn’t take long for the beast to die.

He could have killed the Tier-5 Beast in a single move if he had targeted the head from the beginning, but that would have been too dramatic.

The beast tamers watching were already petrified.

Right then, the six beast tamers rushed toward him, their faces filled with shock and curiosity.

Some looked at the dead beast, and then back at his face.

"How did you do it?"

"It’s like a movie," the female Beast Tamer said.

"Why didn’t you use your lifeline beast?"

"Is your lifeline beast injured?"

"Do you have a blade skill talent?"

One after another, the Beast Tamers pelted him with questions. It was impossible to explain everything to them.

Only the Senior Beast Tamer seemed to realize something, but he remained quiet. He knew there were no reports of Jeremy Night ever using a lifeline beast before.

He was sensible and didn’t pry into someone else’s secrets.

Tremor!

Just then, a terrible tremor occurred. Everyone was caught off guard and lost their balance from the sudden jolt.

Jeremy Night used his eye power and saw that large trees and canopies ahead were crashing down.

He could feel the tremor in the ground. It wasn’t just a single quake; it felt rhythmic.

A grim thought came to his mind.

"Beast Movement," Jeremy Night muttered under his breath.

At the same time, the beast tamers around him reacted.

"My Lifeline Beast is alarmed. It must be a higher-tier beast!" one of the beast tamers shouted.

"My Lifeline Beast is saying the same thing," the female Beast Tamer added.

Everyone communicated with their lifeline beasts and received the exact same warning.

"Let’s go. This place is not safe anymore." After saying that, the Senior Beast Tamer summoned his lifeline beast.

Thud!

A Tier-5 Gray Armadillo appeared next to him. He stepped onto the back of the two meter tall beast and rode away.

Before leaving, the Senior Beast Tamer nodded to Jeremy Night.

Similarly, the female Beast Tamer summoned her lifeline beast, a Tier-5 Wild Cat and mounted it.

"Jeremy Night, you should leave this place. It’s difficult to survive against higher-tier beasts," she warned.

Jeremy nodded to her. The massive wild cat turned around and disappeared into the woods. Soon after, the other four Beast Tamers left the area with the help of their lifeline beasts.

Jeremy Night stood alone. He didn’t feel sentimental; in fact, he had grown curious about the tremor.

He suspected that the improved Beast Powder might have attracted these terrifying beasts.

For a second, he thought of investigating the cause, well aware that he was entertaining a dangerous idea.

He had barely escaped a Tier-8 Eagle Beast before. That beast could have easily killed him, and it had certainly tried before flying off.

Back then, he had only survived by lying in the mud instead of hiding under a tree. He steadied his breathing and focused his mind.

His targets had been Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts from the beginning. Even if he ran into a Tier-7 Beast, he had the confidence to survive.

With his decision made, he continued deeper into the core area instead of retreating to the border.
