As time passed, the scattered fragments on the ground gradually vanished without a trace. The eighteen Buddha Beads on his wrist reappeared, as if they had never been broken at all.

He withdrew his gaze from his wrist.

Wu Yang looked at the cat-eared girl.

"Coal Ball, can you open it and take a look? Then tell me what’s inside. I need to know what happened."

The situation made him extremely uneasy. He had the distinct feeling that things were spiraling out of his control.

After all, that creature was terrifying.

He couldn’t even look at it directly in the sketchbook.

But he had to know what had happened.

His only hope now was the cat-eared girl, Coal Ball.

Because she herself was an Alien Origin Body.

In fact, one could say she was an Alien Origin Body even stronger than God.

He had created her with his own hands to alleviate his boredom and to protect him.

At first, he hadn’t thought much of it.

But looking back now, that decision had been incredibly wise.

If not for her,

he would have died here today.

At this thought,

beyond his shock and anger,

a sliver of fear took root in his heart.

It was a fear of that unknown, pale, colossal snake.

This was an emotion

he hadn’t experienced since the day he obtained the sketchbook.

In the long eons since acquiring the sketchbook, everything in the world had become nothing more than a toy for him to manipulate as he pleased.

The only reason the human race hadn’t gone extinct was purely due to the last, dwindling shred of his humanity.

After all, at his core, he was still human. He couldn’t escape the instincts of a social creature, nor could he bear absolute loneliness.

If he truly reduced the world to a silent wasteland, he would probably be the first to go insane.

And yet, he grew bored of the world’s eternal, unchanging tranquility.

It was this very contradiction that led him to spawn countless Alien Origin Bodies, making the world ’interesting’ again.

To him, this world was his private property.

He was its one and only god, and all creation was supposed to bend to his will.

Yet now, an existence beyond his control had appeared, one that had even managed to injure him.

This unprecedented sense of losing control was something he never wanted to experience.

"I can try!"

Seeing Wu Yang in this state,

the cat-eared girl could clearly sense the change in her master’s state of mind.

So, this time, the cat-eared girl dropped her usual standoffish act.

Instead, she nodded seriously.

Then her figure distorted and turned into a black cat.

Pushing off with her hind legs, she leaped directly onto the desk.

Then she extended a paw and began flipping through the pages.

Meanwhile, Wu Yang watched from the side, his gaze fixed on her.

When he saw that she was unaffected, he let out a long sigh of relief.

’Thankfully, Coal Ball can look at it.’

’Although I’m dying to know what’s written in there...’

’But after what just happened...’

’...I don’t dare look directly at that thing again for now.’

For a time, the only sound in the room was the FLIP, FLIP, FLIP of turning pages.

After a long moment,

the black cat stopped.

"Well?"

Seeing this,

Wu Yang couldn’t help but ask.

"I saw it. It was done by an Alien Origin Body named the World Serpent!"

the black cat replied in her pleasant, girlish voice.

But her tone carried a hint of graveness.

She then relayed the information contained within the sketchbook.

This gave Wu Yang a general understanding of the situation.

"A T5 Level... a colossal body that encircles all of Kapu Star... controlling the body of the White Pagoda’s chief researcher..."

Wu Yang’s expression was grim as he digested the information from the black cat.

Because of this sketchbook,

over the long years,

he had encountered his share of unfamiliar Alien Origin Bodies.

These were not ones he had drawn.

Instead, one or two would simply appear every so often.

However,

the strength of these Alien Origin Bodies was always average.

They were T3 Level at most.

He’d never even seen one that reached the T4 Catastrophe Level of threat.

They could be easily sealed and contained by dispatching the Cleaners, a team composed of convicts.

But this one was clearly different.

"God didn’t just die because of the World Serpent. It also died because it violated the rules you set and revealed information about you."

Just then,

the black cat seemed to recall something

and added,

"Also, according to the sketchbook, that World Serpent might already know you exist."

Wu Yang’s already grim expression faltered.

"How could this happen!"

God was arguably one of his two most perfect creations.

Unlike the other Alien Origin Bodies,

it possessed an intellect on par with humans.

It knew that he existed.

He had experienced the terror of this World Serpent firsthand.

If that thing found him, it didn’t take a genius to figure out the consequences would be dire.

As if she could read his thoughts,

the black cat continued,

"You don’t need to worry too much. God only revealed that there was a Creator behind it. It died from the backlash before it could say anything more."

At her words,

Wu Yang felt a sense of relief.

After a moment’s thought,

he stepped forward,

flipped the sketchbook directly to the newest page,

and then picked up his pen and began to draw on a blank area.

A moment later,

a black helmet appeared in his hand. Its faceplate wasn’t transparent glass, but a silvery-white mirror.

He named this Alien Origin Body: the Forbidden Helmet.

It could automatically transform any information and images seen by the wearer,

nullifying their influence.

’If Coal Ball can look at it directly, then logically, so can I... as long as I take the proper precautions.’
