Kalu paused after saying this.
He took a remote control from his pocket and pressed a button.
The projection screen behind him switched.
A video, only three seconds long, began to play. The image was extremely blurry and filled with pixelated noise, clearly the result of special image processing.
On the screen,
against the pitch-black backdrop of space, a massive, yellow-green planet rotated slowly.
Everyone present was intimately familiar with this planet.
It was Kapu Star, the very planet they stood on, the one they depended on for their survival.
However, the most startling feature was a pale white ’planetary ring’ encircling the globe.
The sight sent a jolt through everyone in the room.
As high-ranking members of the White Pagoda, they were all top experts from their respective nations.
There wasn’t an uneducated person among them.
They all knew Kapu Star had no such ring system.
In fact, it couldn’t form one; it lacked the fundamental conditions.
Kapu Star orbited too close to its sun, resulting in a powerful solar wind.
This wind would constantly strip away any surrounding dust and gas, preventing the accumulation necessary to form a ring.
After three seconds, the video ended and the frame froze.
And only then,
did everyone see what it truly was.
It wasn’t a planetary ring at all. It was an impossibly enormous, pale white serpent!
Its coiling body completely encircled the entire planet.
At this, everyone understood why it had been sighted all over the world simultaneously.
’So its body literally wraps around Kapu Star.’
It was terrifying.
"This is the target’s true form. However, what you’re seeing now is a simulation processed by an AI; it has no direct connection to the original surveillance footage,"
Kalu explained.
"Because even the processed image is impossible to view with the naked eye."
After Kalu finished,
the entire conference room
fell into a dead silence. Everyone was too stunned by the sight to speak.

With very few exceptions, this type of Alien Origin Body
was impossible to contain.
Furthermore, the slightest oversight
could lead to a world-ending catastrophe.
And this giant serpent before them, long enough to encircle Kapu Star,
was more than deserving of the name "World Serpent."

Even a high-speed train traveling at 350 kilometers per hour would need to run nonstop for over 53 days to circle it once.
If Kapu Star hadn’t been so massive
and its population so numerous,
the sheer number of Alien Origin Bodies would have driven humanity to extinction long ago, leaving no work for people like them.
And now, this Alien Origin Body was encircling Kapu Star from outer space.
Its body was likely even longer than the planet’s equatorial circumference.
In the White Pagoda’s existing containment files, the most massive entity was an Alien Origin Body codenamed Wish Star.
It manifested as a comet, glowing with an ethereal blue light and possessing a distinctive teardrop-shaped silhouette.
According to orbital calculations, Wish Star was approximately eight hundred kilometers long and passed through Kapu Star’s low orbit on a fixed trajectory every three years.
When this comet streaked across the night sky, anyone who witnessed its path would feel an overwhelming urge to make a wish.
Statistical data indicated a 50% probability that the wish would be granted.
But this ’gift’ did not come without a price.
It came with an unacceptably high cost.
All whose wishes came true would die within three days from various "accidents" like car crashes, drowning, or even choking to death while eating.

Given its enormous size, unique orbital pattern, and the danger it posed,

Wish Star posed no direct threat to observers.

was but a drop in the ocean compared to the great serpent coiled around Kapu Star.
