The streets of the City of Injustice were thundering with noise.

The semi-final match where Thunder God Fang Qingyu crushed Divine Bone Creatures with overwhelming power had left its impact lingering.

The intense atmosphere continued to burn and ferment in the air.

Dense crowds jostled and shoved, countless eyes were drawn to the majestic highest point in the city center.

City Lord’s Mansion.

This structure stood like a pillar to the heavens, resembling a lone high tower.

It was built entirely of a strange stone gleaming with a cold metallic sheen.

Taller than the Burj Khalifa from the old Federation era.

It was a symbol of power, a distant lighthouse in the hearts of countless in this Lawless Land.

Every day, around the massive base of the City Lord’s Mansion.

The crowds surged like tidal waves.

Some came purely out of admiration, gazing up at this magnificent creation piercing the clouds.

Many others had clear goals, applying for residency, registering powers, negotiating business licenses, resolving territorial disputes...

In this chaotic yet promising new city, the City of Injustice.

This towering structure was the sole hub of order.

Provided one’s strength was formidable, one’s background deep enough, a single document obtained within this tower could unleash wealth like an underground Dark River, rushing forth.

Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei found themselves amid the bustling crowd at this moment.

Fang Qingyu had swapped into a plain gray hoodie combat gear.

He pulled the brim low, concealing his too conspicuous Molten Gold Vertical Pupils.

Jiang Wei wore a simple white sports outfit.

Her crimson hair was casually tied back with a plain rubber band, a few strands falling on her cheek, her clear and cold face not particularly striking in the crowd.

The two reined in their aura, moving towards the City Lord’s Mansion along with the flowing crowd.

Various accents of bargaining filled their ears.

Rude curses, excited discussions.

"Did you see that? The bone Thunder God pulled out at the end... My Heaven, one glance felt like it’d steal your soul away!"

"Nonsense! Divine Bone, in some ways it’s even more valuable than Divine Armament, surely many are eyeing it, waiting to watch the drama!"

"Why does the City Lord’s Mansion feel more crowded today? It’s suffocating!"

"Nonsense, everyone’s hoping to fish in troubled waters or gather some insider info..."

Fang Qingyu ignored the surrounding noise.

Jiang Wei silently followed beside him, her clear red eyes occasionally scanning around.

Mutely, they moved through the bustling crowd.

Finally, they stepped onto the broad base platform of the City Lord’s Mansion, as vast as a square.

The platform was paved with enormous blue stones, smooth as a mirror.

Ahead stood a more than ten-meter high door, now open.

Inside was a very spacious and bright hall, the domed ceiling high, soft light falling from unknown sources.

Distributed across the hall were dozens of service counters, long queues lining up, uniformed staff busy with work.

Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei entered the hall with the current.

They were about to seek the information desk to inquire how to meet the City Lord.

However, just a few meters into the hall, a middle-aged man dressed in a fitted black uniform of the City Lord’s Mansion.

With a composed demeanor, approached briskly from a side as if he had already locked onto them.

His gaze precisely landed on Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei.

There was a hint of uncontainable respect and tension deep in his eyes.

He slightly bowed, his voice not loud, reaching their ears: "Mr. Fang, Lord Jiang. The City Lord is waiting for you upstairs, please follow me."

Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei exchanged a glance.

It seemed this City Lord knew they were coming.

Without unnecessary words, Fang Qingyu slightly nodded: "Thank you."

The middle-aged man bowed again, leading them sideward.

Taking them through the crowded hall, straight to a relatively quiet corner inside.

There was a completely black door, unmarked, sleek as a mirror.

The middle-aged man retrieved a card from his pocket, gently swiping it against a sensor area seamlessly blending with the door.

"Beep—"

A subtle, pleasing electronic sound chimed.

The door slid open silently to reveal a small elevator shaft that could only accommodate a few people.

"Please, you two."

The middle-aged man stood outside, gesturing them in, without entering himself.

Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei stepped into the elevator.

The door closed noiselessly, isolating them from all outside clamor.

The cabin had no buttons, only soft lighting pouring from above.

A slight weightlessness occurred, as the elevator began ascending vertically at an astonishing speed.

When the elevator door slid open again.

A wide and simple corridor was outside.

The floor was paved with warm jade, the walls made of some white jade faintly emitting light, extending to the horizon.

On one side was enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, almost occupying the entire wall.

Outside the window, a vast layer of clouds stretched, and the City of Injustice sprawled like a miniature landscape to the heavens.

Sunlight spilled unobstructedly inside.

Rendering the entire corridor resplendent and magnificent.

Beside the elevator door, a figure was quietly waiting.

It was the City Lord, Da Lei.

His gaze fell first on Jiang Wei.

On his youthful face, a profound and pure respect instantly appeared.

Slightly bowing, his movements fluid and natural.

"Greetings, Lady Nvba."

Da Lei’s voice was gentle, yet it clearly echoed down the empty corridor.

Jiang Wei’s clear red eyes looked at him, slightly nodding in acknowledgment, her expression remaining neutral.
