"Come on! Let’s have a war of attrition!"

With a great shout from Wang Yi, the Monkey King avatars and the Ten Thousand Celestial Soldiers flew out from the Five Elements Mountain as if going to war, charging toward the opposing Da Hai City.

The battle erupted once more.

This time, Da Hai City didn’t use its Matrix Missiles. Instead, it activated its Sniper Cannons.

There were only four Sniper Cannons. Their bases were as massive as aircraft carriers, and their dark barrels, tapering from thick to thin, were about a hundred meters long. They fired crimson energy rays.

The energy rays were peculiar. They didn’t penetrate; instead, they caused a violent explosion upon impact. The first volley instantly destroyed four of the level-240 Monkey Kings.

But the Sniper Cannons were relatively clumsy and difficult to aim. The five remaining Monkey Kings charged in, ultimately falling before the walls of Da Hai City, but not before killing a large number of Mechanical Warriors and destroying one Sniper Cannon!

But before Da Hai City could launch a counterattack against Wang Yi, the winds and clouds gathered once more atop the Five Elements Mountain. The stirring melody of the Cloud Palace Rapid Sound rang out again as nine Monkey Kings emerged, staffs in hand, ready for battle.

Wang Yi had, of course, used Fantasy Avatar again.

A single use of Fantasy Avatar was enormously costly, something an ordinary Player could never afford. But Wang Yi was no ordinary Player. The Mana accumulated by his Divine Power Body King Avatar was enough for him to cast Fantasy Avatar several times in a row.

And even without the Mana support from his Divine Body, Wang Yi still had a virtually infinite supply of Chaos Energy.

In short, under the system’s established mechanics, Wang Yi could use Fantasy Avatar indefinitely. He now intended to fight a war of attrition with the Waga Royal Court and see who would be the last one standing.

This also allowed him to keep an eye on the observers and prevent them from learning too many of his tricks.

In the central control room of Da Hai City, the high-ranking members of the Royal Court saw the Divine Celestial Soldiers and Generals charging again, but they weren’t as tense as before.

"He’s sending more troops!"

"I don’t think that Taishang is so impressive after all. He only sends a handful of soldiers each time. They’re no threat to us. Isn’t he just pointlessly draining his own resources?"

"Taishang shouldn’t be this weak. Maybe he’s just toying with us!"

"Toying with us? Fine by me. If he’s in no hurry to fight, then neither are we. The old Lord locked our technological weapons down too tightly; we can only unlock them gradually. Let’s just take our time unlocking them! The longer this drags on, the better it is for us!"

They were level 180 the moment they were manufactured, equipped with battle sabers, Ion Shields, and laser guns. Capable of both ranged and close-quarters combat, their fighting strength became immense once their numbers stacked up.

Now, vast numbers of Mechanical Soldier Remains poured out of the deployment tunnels and immediately clashed with the Monkey Kings in a furious battle.

The Ten Thousand Celestial Soldiers in the sky, however, seemed to be an unsolvable problem. They unleashed a torrent of one hundred thousand thunderbolts, and the Mechanical Soldier Remains couldn’t even touch them.

Ten minutes later, the nine Monkey King avatars were finally defeated, overwhelmed by sheer numbers. The moment they were destroyed, the Fantasy Avatar skill was automatically interrupted, and the Ten Thousand Celestial Soldiers vanished.

Cheers erupted in Da Hai City’s central control room. The high-level managers believed they had won another battle, but their cheers had barely died down when the winds and clouds swirled again over the Five Elements Mountain. Another nine Monkey Kings charged out, staffs in hand.

Meanwhile, Wang Yi glanced at the distant onlookers and calmly began to open a batch of blind boxes.
