Strongest Onmyouji's Isekai Adventure ~ The Monsters are too weak compared to my Youkai Servant's~
Lesson 38: The Most Powerful Yin Yang Master, Hands on Gambling
Next day off.
"Right here."
At dusk it was a liquor store all over the city that was brought to Amu.
Me and Efa continue in a whimsical fashion to the amu that opens the door.
When I went inside, a few of the customers who were drinking to me after work caught my eye.
Guest seats are oddly small compared to the size of the store from the outside.
Amu says to the owner of the mustache surface that comes to his attention.
"I'll borrow your back seat."
The shopkeeper silently laid his eyes down.
As Amu walks to the passenger seat, he opens the decorative door that was mounted in the back uncrafted.
As soon as I did, the noise jumped into my ears.
The sound of the dice swinging.
The sound of money being emitted.
The sound of the glass being tapped to the table.
Guest anger or laughter.
This room, as hidden, was much larger than the earlier guest seats and had many humans.
Amu turns to me and Efa and says:
"Right here."
I scream unexpectedly.
"No matter what you think, it's just a casino. Here!
I have a bad feeling about this.
What do you know?
Amu says without any evil.
"That's right."
"It's not like that. Private casinos would be illegal in the Empire."
"This is why you're an unknown boy. That's right. Pre-built. Pre-built. Even the punishment is loose, and nobody cares. I do everything in the government constitution. There you go."
The man Amu pointed to raised his voice when he noticed us.
"Ooh, you're a bad student lady! You're here to bribe me again?
"It's time for you to say that. I'll stick your ass out to your buddies today."
A man in the official constitution bursts into laughter.
Why are you familiar with it?
If you look around often, a lot of guys are the same age as us. I don't care if you say so. I'm a student at school.
There were bad students in Japan, Song and the West, but is this world the same...
"Hey Amu. Don't think you can get more money in a casino."
"Amu, I bet a little..."
"Phew."
Amu says with an inclusive grin as he lays down his face slightly.
"Look, look."
****
A few minutes later.
"I lost ahhhhhh!!
Amu was scratching his head and screaming.
Apparently, he ran out of money.
"Hey, what was that meaningful dialogue earlier? I thought you had a plan."
"If there was such a thing, no one would struggle!!
Don't be mad at me.
"I don't suppose the impeccable circumstance that you said during this time meant that you did it here."
"............ hey, whatever you want. What about you guys?
"Huh?"
"It's revenue and expenditure. You know, what do you think I brought you guys here for today? I was hoping that if you guys always scored a full score in writing, you'd find something to gamble with."
"What the hell?"
I sigh in awe.
"I lost a little too. There's no way to win a simple game like this."
To tell you the truth, it's easy enough to peek at the other guy's bills with a ceremonial god.
But it's not fair and I don't really want to do it.
"By and large, gambling between customers is the main thing with reading. I'm an amateur and I can't win."
"Then you can choose a game to deal with the torso."
"It's worse that way. The more you do, the more you lose."
I will take Amu to Efa's table.
There, gambling using cards was taking place.
What is used is a set of thirty-six cards for play each with numbers from one to nine and a mark of four attributes.
It is commonly used in gambling and entertainment between nobles.
"Have you done this before?
"'People, dragons,' right? Yes, I do. Of course. The one who doubles his stakes in half."
"No, not one-half, seventy-two thirty-five. Okay? This is a game where you use two sets of thirty-six mountain bills to turn one from the top each and hit which card wins. But I use two different kinds of mountain bills, so naturally the exact same card comes out and it can be a draw. Then, whichever way you're betting, you lose and your stakes are forfeited."
"It's like that error, isn't it?
"It's not an error! We're gonna lose every thirty-six times for sure. Even though the odds of winning are less than one-half, the stakes can only double. The more you do it, the more you lose it!
"But you can bet on the draw, too. Ten times the stake."
"You can only win once every thirty-six times, but you can't believe you only multiply it by ten. You wouldn't bet if you weren't even stupid enough"
…… I don't know, but isn't it one-half of what it all hits or falls off?
"Become..."
"Whoa, that's good, lady. You're right!
"Hey honor student! I didn't mean to shrivel!
The casino is filled with wild laughter.
I have a headache.
"You, that's enough. How's Efa? Winning?"
"Huh? Um, we're still losing."
The mountain bills were just, leaving only the last one.
Efa gets a little lost and bet about 30% of his holding chips on the 'dragon' side.
And the card is turned.
"People" is the third of the fire. "Dragon" is the eight of the earth.
Bigger numbers are the winner (which, by the way, is determined by the compatibility of just the different attributes), so I get double the amount of chips I bet on Efa.
"I guess this is pretty much it"
"What do you think? A must-have, come up with that?
"Uh..."
Efa looks around with her as she leans slightly toward the amu she embarks on.
Then I shook my head with a bitter laugh.
"Yeah. Lucky battle, this. I think Seika's right."
"Hey..."
Amu drops his shoulder.
On the tabletop, the dealer was just collecting the bills that had been used up.
"Efa. Amu, he said he had all the money."
"What, already?... Then go home, Amu."
"Yeah......"
****
When I left the store, Amu was feeling a little better.
"Today's is only a prerequisite."
"... what do you mean? I don't care what you think today, you lost everything you could."
"The production is a school festival. I'll do everything I can to make it real."
"School festival?
"Seika-kun, did you forget? The school festival will begin in a little while."
I remember being told. With that said, it's like there was such a thing.
It was a massive event that opened a large city on the school grounds and was planned by the executive committee and aspiring students.
You think it's an historic festival that lasts seven days and even the big chamber of commerce and the city council of Rodney sponsor everything?
"From what I hear, they always open casinos every year. Unofficially, of course, you're hiding. This is your chance, don't you think?
"What?
"Are you saying that nobles who are usually unfamiliar with casinos will participate in large numbers? You'll have the money, and this is a great opportunity to duck...!
"Ha...... amu"
I sigh and say to Amu, with a grin possessed by desire.
"You are forbidden to gamble."
"Why not!?
"There's no way a guy who says a hit or off or a half can win a bet. Whatever you think, you're the duck. [M] I'm not gonna say anything bad, so stop it."
"Uh..."
Disgruntled amu.
"What a lot of money would work for a school festival, and you have other good chances?
"Ha, no... I can only think of about the winning prize for the swordsmanship tournament"
"No, that's fine. So. I can no longer say an event for you. [M] Why do you seem a little dissatisfied?"
"Obviously, the amateur project caught my mind, but now I'm just a student, too, okay?"
"Absolutely fine."
Much more than gambling.
"That's right, and how did you know about a plan like that swordsmanship tournament?
"It's stuck on a bulletin board in school. Since about yesterday."
"Hmm... I guess I'll take a look too. A proposal for a gold measure might come to mind. Efa, come with me tomorrow...... Efa?
"What... Oh, yeah"
Efa, who seemed confused, replied to me.
"Right. I want to see it too."
"They write everything about the casino in a hidden language."
"I'm still saying..."
"... you know, Amu. A school festival casino, does a dealer stand?
"? Right. Looks like some casino's coming out, so I guess."
"Well, I wonder if there are some games like 'People or Dragons'"
"I wonder if there is. That game, because it's the most popular of card gambling. What? Maybe you like it? Want to come with me?
"Uh..."
"Hey, don't invite Efa to the path of ruin"
"What?"
"A, Amu, I'm sorry. May I..."
"Yes..."
Amu unfortunately drops his shoulder.
"Stay tuned for the swordsmanship tournament. If I win, I'll give you the luxury."
"Yeah. Looking forward to it, Amu"
"Well, you could win."
Whatever you say, you're a brave man.
Still, a school festival?
It's probably because it's a city with rich people, rich countries.
... I wish I could make some money, too.
