Super Detective in the Fictional World

Chapter 2184 - Extra: Journey of Fantasy 25

If you don't have the list of Day of Destruction abilities, then Superman's list of abilities is the only and most likely "out of print".

Even for that, Luke has to protect the Earth.

I just don't know how strong that wolf is, but if it's still on the level of Doomsday, it's going to be a real problem.

Wasteland wolves weren't Kryptonian creatures, and without the weakness of a Kryptonite weapon, it would be troublesome to whack them to death.

Pondering this, the three of them took Master Wei's private jet to Central City.

Compared to Gotham City, Central City was a little bit better - at least it wasn't as "good" in terms of people and place, and the number and quality of super villains that popped up every year wasn't as unique as Gotham City.

But that's about it.

The exodus of manufacturing, high unemployment, special services and hustling as more bottom feeders are almost a common feature of major American cities these days.

With the exception of those neighborhoods where middle and upper class neighborhoods are clustered, the rest of the city is littered with abandoned factory warehouses.

No one cares about them because they are just as unemployed as those at the bottom, and will remain so.

Inside an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city near the railroad location, Diana sat on a small high stool and tapped the ground with her long legs, "Are you sure the young man won't be angry if we run into someone's house like this to meet them?"

Master Wayne relaxed himself on the back of the rounded, concave boss chair: "Being angry and being emotional are two different things."

Luke found a gaming chair a little further away, in front of a large row of black monitors, and sat down: "Bruce is right, it's like calling a beautiful woman a friend, the most polite way is the safest, but it's also the easiest way to be ignored as a passerby. It's necessary to make a proper first impression."

Diana laughed and looked around at the two "Bruins", "Looks like you guys have a lot in common, huh?"

Luke chuckles lightly, "Don't, Master Wayne is a regular headline in the Gotham tabloids, I'm just good at spotting patterns."

Master Wayne: ...... How many mixed doubles have these two assholes had along the way?

Good thing his watch alerted him, "OK, he's back."

With that, silence returned to the warehouse.

Less than a minute later, there was a clattering noise from the gate chain lock, then the subtle creak of rubbing as the gate opened, and finally the crackling of circuitry connections.

The lights in the warehouse then came on, and the rest of the monitors and appliances went to work.

A short, slim figure with a backpack on his shoulders, walked around the door partitioned off by a hallway, and stood at the entrance to the hall, where he saw two men and a woman sitting in their "home".

"Barry Allen." Master Wayne still spoke in that deep, magnetic voice, "I'm Bruce Wayne."

Barry glared at him askance and lifted a finger to his waist, "You think you can just say hello and barge into my house and sit in my second favorite chair with no lights on?"

At this point, he couldn't help but look at Diana, who was watching him with amusement on her face, "That one of yours is my third favorite."

And then looking at the only Luke who wasn't looking at him, but instead was looking sideways at the vigorous dancing on the monitor, "That's my first favorite."

Luke sniffed before turning his head, a smile on his face, "Your favorite Korean girl group? This is the crown of the '12 fire, and now it's all battered up."

Barry froze, "You know about them?"

Luke turned his head and glanced at the screen again, "A full screen with long legs is good for protecting your eyesight."

The crowd: ......

Master Wayne felt the pace was a little off, so he could only cough and walk over to Barry and pull out a printed screenshot of the surveillance, "Those are minor things, you might be able to explain this."

Barry looked at the at a glance expensive suit, coat, shoes and diamond tie clip and felt a strong sense of the ruling class.

He had to take the screenshot and take a look at it, "This ...... man looks a little, well more like me, but definitely not me. Let me guess, he didn't steal anything from you ......"

Master Webster smiled as if he had a smile on his face and turned to a nearby plastic model: "I know you have superpowers, I'm just not sure which ones."

Barry: "I have many abilities, viola, web design, sign language, gorilla sign language ......"

Master Wei had an expert look on his face as he surveyed the red battle suit on the plastic model, "The material is silicon quartz fiber, resistant to wear and heat?"

Barry: "Well, I like figure skating ......"

Master Webster: "Usually used on spacecraft and for flame retardancy when returning to the atmosphere."

Barry: "I ...... skate with more intense movements?"

Luke and Diana don't speak, smiling as Master Wade steps in, Barry a serious piece of nonsense.

It dawned on Master Wade, "Oh, is that so?"

Barry nodded repeatedly, "Yes, whoever it is you're looking for, it's definitely not, I promise ......"

Master Webster turned and took a few steps, his hand already in his chest, and turned sharply.

A dark gray shadow flew from his hand and headed straight for Barry's shoulder.

The next moment, even Diana was only a blur, and the chattering Barry didn't speak again, just stared down at the bat dart squeezed between his fingers.

Master Webster calmly withdrew his hand, once again returning to his graceful, broad appearance.

Barry looked up, "Are you ...... Batman?"

Master Webster: "Looks like you're moving fast."

Barry laughed proudly, "You're using the word a little too broadly."

Master Webster was laughing too, "I'm putting together a team and I need people with skills because a powerful enemy is coming ......"

Barry dawns on him and holds up a hand to cut him off, "Stop, don't say anything, I'm in."

Master Wayne: ......

Luke: ......

Diana: What about the promise that it won't be easy to join? I'm the one who has to earn it? As expected, men are a bunch of pigs!

She couldn't help but get up from Barry's third favorite high stool, "Really?"

"I need kindred spirits." Barry looked a little hard, "You know, normal people are too hard to get along with, and I don't have the patience for their rhythms I can't understand."

Diana nodded in heartfelt agreement.

As a demigod she lacked nothing, which made her out of touch with most people.

It was only slightly more comfortable to finally get a job as an art gallery consultant and get along with the least logical and reasonable group of people in the world.

Barry seems to have held it in too long and can't control his spitting at the moment: "Like, like ...... what the hell is that brunch? Waiting in line for an hour to eat into your mouth is clearly lunch ......"

"hia~hia~hia~" Luke couldn't stop himself from laughing.

The other three were surprised to see the guy who had been acting so calmly.

Luke suddenly had a bit of a crush on Barry.

This was clearly a genius who thought differently than the average person, which was why he felt out of place with other ordinary people.

A similar situation was like Dasho explaining research ideas to an ordinary researcher - Dasho: what ideas? Why can't you just turn your head like that? Why can't you understand?

The others nodded very sincerely: well, yes, we really didn't get it.
