Super Detective in the Fictional World

Chapter 1040 Chapter 1057 Suspect, New Client of Fuji (2 more)

After coming out of Intelligence, Luke got a call from Dustin and drove straight to the XV.

We just got word from headquarters that one more person survived last night when the Irish gang went extinct, but this guy slipped away.

Now, this lucky man, Elijah Grotto, has taken a lawyer to the fifteenth precinct and asked to be a stain witness.

Luke and the others were not surprised by this mess.

What happens in police stations often contradicts the normal logic of most people.

Because most people do not commit a crime, replacing the psychological state of innocent people naturally finds it silly what the criminals do in the police station.

In fact, these people do have a lot of people with brain disabilities, but they are more realistic, except that the law-abiding people will not feel comfortable.

Like this Elijah Grotto in front of you, really wants to wash his face and be human again?

Luke just measured him at the door for a moment and shut the door.

The heart of this man contains feelings of fear, despair, fear, prayer, but only without remorse.

He is a helpless criminal, and now he just wants to live without regret.

Close the door, he faces two acquaintances standing by the door, helpless: "Foggy, Karen, how could you take this case? ”

Foggy and Karen looked at each other, or did Foggy say, "Last night we played pool in a bar, Grotto took the initiative to find us and reveal what happened to the Irish gang. ”

Luke frowned: "Last night? ”

Fuji hesitated and whispered, “It's just a conversation between friends, right? ”

Luke laughed and stopped the little fat guy on the shoulder, whispering: "Of course, the old rules. It will never appear in any official records. ”

It was only Fuji who gave a whisperer account.

In fact, Grotto's presence at the police station today is truly helpless.

When he went to see Matt and Foggy last night, he suffered a gunshot wound and collapsed without a word from them.

They had to take him to Metropolitan General Hospital, and shortly thereafter the attackers arrived and chased Grotto and Karen out of the hospital.

After they were lucky enough to escape, Foggy had to send Grotto to the police station in search of self-protection.

Luke looked up and down at Karen in shock, and he said, "Are you okay? ”

She's just a girl in her 20s, and she's brave enough not to be scared to pee when she's being chased, and she can still run off with Groot.

Is this a potential woman too?

Karen is a little tired, but she's in a fairly stable state, less like she was shot last night.

Karen shook her head: "It's okay. ”

And she hesitated, and she whispered, “I feel like the guy's just coming for Grotto, and I'm not his target. ”

Luke: "Him? ”

Karen nodded: “I saw the man who hunted Grotto, a white male, up and down thirty-five years old, with an inch, a fierce appearance and a strong body. ”

Luke: “So that means the assailant's appearance should be captured by hospital surveillance? ”

Fogey shook his head: "No. When he came in, a large area of surveillance lines and lights were out of order, perhaps only Karen could see it better. ”

Luke nodded: “Got it. Karen, don't tell anybody about this for a while. The police asked you, and you said you were scared. I can't remember. ”

Karen had to take a look at Foggy.

Fuji is a law doctor at Columbia University and immediately explains: "It is normal for people to be frightened and have memory disorder in a short time, so that you can either not say it or add it at the right time, not counting as a false statement...”

Speaking of which, he paused and looked at Luke with embarrassment.

Does it seem a little too much for him to discuss this little trick in front of two detectives?

Luke nodded as usual: "This case is a bit troublesome. Until there's significant progress, Karen better not talk about it, not necessarily get caught, but cause a lot of trouble. Well, Grotto must have seen the assailant, too. ”

Fuji grinned bitterly: "He said he was scared and couldn't remember. ”

Luke smiled at the stall and said, "Look how skilled he is in this little trick. By the way, where's Matt? ”

Karen didn't have much to say. Fuji looked a little ugly. "He's feeling a little uncomfortable. He's resting at home. ”

When Luke looked at Foggy's expression, he suddenly felt like: This excuse is familiar! Counselor Ma isn't hurt again?

However, Fudge did not say he would not ask, but nodded: "The case is not simple, the Irish gang may not be the only target of the massacre, and you should be careful of your own personal safety. ”

Fogey: “What's going on? ”

Luke: “Next up is a private chat, OK? ”

Fogey Conditional Reflection: “OK. ”

“I have searched for information, and in the last six months several groups have been attacked with similar methods, killing more than twenty people, although in New Jersey and Nassau County, respectively, no one has linked them.” He said.

Fuji stares into his eyes: "What? ”

“Don't tell anyone about the news, just so you know.” Luke nods: “I'll let you know if there's any progress on the case, but you must be careful of your own personal safety and don't just turn your head. ”

Fuji grinned, “But we represented Grotto's case. ”

Luke looked at him quietly: "Then be careful, don't just die. ”

Fuji:... Brother, why are you being so serious! My legs are trembling.

At this point, a black detective came over and said hello in turn when he saw the four of them: "Are you discussing a community reconstruction plan again? ”

Luke: “Well, Detective Mahoney, I'm relieved those kids should be happily volunteering. ”

Mahoney laughed, too: "Sooner or later, they'll understand that it's a good and right thing. ”

Luke nodded: "But I'm here because of the Irish gang case. ”

Mahoney glanced over at Foggy and saw him without saying anything. “HQ wants to take over the case? ”

Luke shook his head: "It's just a matter of understanding. That's why let us two little newcomers do our job. We won't get involved in your business. ”

He said, glancing at the interrogation room.

Mahoney understands that it was Luke's clear intention not to take ownership of the case, but to learn a little from the side at best.

He's relieved, too.

Luke had a good reputation in the Clinton area and Mahoney was a NYPD man. It was easy to find out who the detectives were. He really didn't want to get into conflict with the two headquarters.

The image of the XV Bureau at Headquarters was bad enough and he did not want to be blacklisted himself.

Having established that, everyone followed Detective Mahoney into the interrogation room.
