Chapter 1235 - 1240: Someone Wants to Meet You
"Lin Feng... do you like me a lot?"
Cao Ying looked at Lin Feng, a faint blush on her face, half-drunk, half-awake. Her starry eyes were slightly hazy, and on her slightly parted red lips there was still a trace of damp wine, irresistibly alluring. Her stunning beauty made Lin Feng stare for a moment, a bit dazed.
After being dumbfounded for a few seconds, Lin Feng finally recalled Cao Ying’s question. He nodded without hesitation and said to her seriously, "Of course, I’ve long since..."
Before Lin Feng could finish, he suddenly felt Cao Ying reach out her hand and cover his mouth.
Her soft jade-like fingers still carried a faint delicate fragrance. Lin Feng widened his eyes in confusion, looking at Cao Ying.
"You can’t just say it, you have to show it with actions..." Cao Ying suddenly seemed to turn playful. Her beautiful eyes widened slightly as she smiled at Lin Feng in deliberate provocation.
Lin Feng froze again. Since when did Cao Ying get this proactive?!
Seeing Lin Feng still in a daze, Cao Ying let out a slightly dissatisfied little hum. "I’ve already given you a chance. If you don’t seize it properly, that’s your problem..."
Hearing that, Lin Feng instantly snapped back to his senses. He didn’t hesitate anymore, directly moved to sit beside Cao Ying and slipped an arm around her soft, comfortable little waist. He looked seriously into her eyes, leaning his lips towards her still-smiling red ones as he said earnestly, "Yes, I like you. Ever since you became my tutor, I’ve liked you..."
Cao Ying smiled, her beautiful eyes seeming to brim with light. Then she gently closed them.
It was the best reminder, and the gentlest encouragement.
Lin Feng didn’t hesitate. He lowered his head and, fully absorbed, slowly pressed a kiss to Cao Ying’s cherry lips.
Cao Ying shut her eyes, held her breath, and stayed perfectly still. Very soon, Lin Feng’s lips met her thin ones, and he kissed her with great care.
Cao Ying seemed very nervous. Her tightly shut eyelids trembled slightly, making Lin Feng all the more cautious.
A faint fragrance drifted to his nose; Lin Feng felt like he was holding a weightless cloud, kissing two soft petals. That faint, tender innocence was something he’d never encountered before.
Although this wasn’t the first time he’d kissed Cao Ying, in this atmosphere Lin Feng treated her like an ignorant little schoolgirl, moving gently and not being too presumptuous!
Since he couldn’t quite read what was in Cao Ying’s heart, Lin Feng didn’t go overboard, just tasted lightly and stopped. After about a minute, he let her go, gently helping her up to sit on the sofa.
Cao Ying’s face was tinged with a rosy flush; whether from the alcohol or shyness, it was hard to tell. She tilted her face, looked at Lin Feng from the corner of her eye, and seemed quite satisfied with his performance.
Lin Feng felt the atmosphere was a bit odd. Just as he was about to say something to ease it, he suddenly heard Cao Ying ask timidly.
"You... how did it feel?" Cao Ying’s big eyes looked at Lin Feng, her face showing a hint of embarrassment.
"How did what feel?" Lin Feng didn’t catch on at first, giving her a strange look.
"What are you staring for? I’m asking how that just now felt... do I have to spell it out for you!" Cao Ying’s pretty face flushed slightly. She glared at Lin Feng in annoyance and asked again.
This time Lin Feng understood—Cao Ying was asking how the kiss had felt...
"Heh heh..." Lin Feng gave her a wicked grin, sized her up, then chuckled. "It felt really good, unbelievably good!"
"Really?" Cao Ying looked at Lin Feng with a slightly doubtful expression, puzzled inside. That had indeed been her first kiss, but she felt the kissing sensation was completely unlike what she’d read in books—no electric shock, no whole body turning to jelly. She was a bit disappointed!
"Speaking of which... it reminds me of that time you stole a kiss from me!" Lin Feng said, a little smug. "You must’ve been waiting for this day all along, right?"
"Bullshit! Who’s been waiting for it!" Cao Ying shook her head, her cheeks flushing red as she glared at Lin Feng with indignation. "Don’t talk nonsense, or I’ll smack your butt!"
"Heh heh..." Lin Feng only laughed.
Then Cao Ying snuck a glance at the box door with its clear glass, and spoke again. "Lin Feng, I don’t want to go home tonight... do you have somewhere I can stay over?"
"My place?" Lin Feng broke into a small smile, asking in delighted surprise.
"Which place?" Cao Ying smiled faintly. "If you’re planning to take me to Jincheng residential area, forget it. I’m not going to spend the night at Ning Aoxue’s house..."
"Uh..." Lin Feng froze for a moment, remembering that Cao Ying and Ning Aoxue seemed to rub each other the wrong way, and his old place had been taken over by Wu Mei. He definitely couldn’t bring Cao Ying back to the Lin Family to meet Jiang Xiuyun, right?!
Hmm? Cao Ying gave Lin Feng a half-smile, her face showing a trace of smugness.
Lin Feng let out a wry smile, then said to her, "Why don’t we just stay here overnight..."
Cao Ying was slightly taken aback. She looked around at the bar’s private room and, finding it fairly clean, lightly nodded and said to Lin Feng, "But you have to stay with me!"
"Of course. If you get tired, just sleep. I’ll keep watch here!" Lin Feng wouldn’t dare leave Cao Ying alone to spend the night in this bar.
Looked like he’d be making do on the sofa tonight. Luckily there was booze; it shouldn’t be too hard to get through... Lin Feng picked up a glass of beer and took a casual sip, preparing to sit by while Cao Ying slept.
Cao Ying suddenly looked at Lin Feng with tender, liquid eyes, a mischievous smile curling her lips. "Lin Feng, you’re not going to take advantage of me while I’m asleep, are you?!"
"Pff..." Hearing Cao Ying’s deliberate teasing, Lin Feng sprayed the beer from his mouth. He stared at her with a strange expression and said wryly, "Miss, aren’t you underestimating my character just a bit too much?!"
"You have character?" Cao Ying smiled triumphantly. "You’re just a little rascal who spends all day sneaking looks at me..."
Lin Feng fell silent. He really had done plenty of sneaking glances at her; there was no arguing that.
Just as Lin Feng was starting to feel a bit awkward, he suddenly heard two light knocks at the door from outside.
Immediately after, Long Jiu’s voice sounded from the hallway.
"Brother Feng, I’ve got a few things I want to say to you. Is it okay if I come in?"
Cao Ying paused, glanced toward the door, then swept a look at Lin Feng and asked in a low voice, "Your friend?"
Lin Feng gave a bitter little nod. "He’s the owner here, kind of a friend, I guess."
Cao Ying shot him a somewhat displeased glare, clearly not thrilled that Lin Feng was casually inviting people into the private room.
"Want me to just send him away?" Lin Feng asked offhand.
"What for? Then he’d totally misunderstand and think we’re doing something in here..." Cao Ying shook her head, clearly against the idea.
Lin Feng could only clear his throat and call out to Long Jiu, "Come in!"
