Cao Ying didn’t quite know how she managed to stand in front of Lin Feng until she found herself standing in the bathroom, facing her flushed reflection in the mirror, and only then did she gradually come to her senses.

"What’s going on with me?" Cao Ying reached out with her jade hand, gently stroking her somewhat heated cheek, feeling her heart pounding wildly, her expression a bit dazed.

"If Lin Feng wants to do that with me, will I let him succeed? Will he take responsibility?" Cao Ying felt at a loss inside, a mix of anxiety and tension...

Ten minutes later, when Cao Ying walked out of the bathroom, her makeup was already touched up, and her somewhat disheveled clothes were refitted. She felt that certain matters needed to be clarified with Lin Feng face-to-face before proceeding.

Cao Ying expected to see a very eager man when she came out, but to her surprise, she found Lin Feng sitting seriously on another sofa, smoking, sitting upright with a crossed leg, looking very formal.

Seeing Lin Feng in this state, Cao Ying first felt a sense of relief, then secretly scoffed in her heart, thinking he’ll show his true colors soon enough.

When Lin Feng saw Cao Ying come out of the bathroom, he naturally turned his gaze toward her. When he noticed that this girl had touched up her makeup before coming out, his expression froze slightly, he chuckled with a bit of anxiety and asked, "Honey, are you okay?"

Cao Ying knew Lin Feng was referring to the incident where she accidentally bit his lower half, remembering the extremely awkward situation earlier, her face turned red again, and she replied angrily, "I’m fine! You take care of yourself!"

Lin Feng chuckled, he was fine too, after all, he’s a master of innate skill, something like that won’t hurt him.

"Want to drink a bit more?" Lin Feng glanced at the dozen cups of beer on the table, smiling at Cao Ying with a meaningful look, and asked with a knowing smile.

Cao Ying just smiled sweetly, "What else to eat, I want to sleep now... You are not allowed to smoke again later, even though there’s air conditioning, the smell of smoke is still a bit strong, I can’t stand it!"

"Alright!" Lin Feng readily extinguished the cigarette in his hand.

Cao Ying’s face showed a trace of satisfaction.

Just as Lin Feng and Cao Ying were looking into each other’s eyes, seemingly able to see hints of something ambiguous in them, Lin Feng suddenly heard a few faint noises of commotion outside the room:

"Who are you people? What’s your purpose barging in here?"

"We’re looking for someone! We saw Miss’s car outside the door and wanted to ask if there are any young couples in your bar..."

"Damn it, go to the police station if you’re looking for someone; Night bar is just a place for fun, it’s full of guests, not someone you’re looking for!"

"You’re asking for trouble..."

Amidst curses, the sound of fighting ensued, and after a few thumps, the outside suddenly became quiet.

Lin Feng paused slightly, vaguely feeling that the fight outside might be related to Cao Ying. He was just about to go out and check the situation when Cao Ying suddenly spoke up.

"Lin Feng, you once said you’d marry me, were you sincere?" With courage, Cao Ying gazed steadily at Lin Feng, asking pitifully.

Lin Feng was a bit taken aback, just as he was about to respond, suddenly, a little brother rushed over, knocking urgently on the locked door, "Brother Feng, bad news, a group of armed men in black suddenly came, looking for you and sister-in-law... Brother Jiu asked me to inform you, hurry and leave through the back door!"

Lin Feng opened the door to see the security team captain Wei Ming outside, looking out of breath, appearing to have run over exerting much effort.

"I get it, this is beyond your control. Also, let Long Jiu know, let those people in, I’ll talk to them myself!" Lin Feng said casually to Wei Ming.

Wei Ming was stunned, asking incredulously, "Brother Feng, you mean?"

"Do as I say!" Lin Feng raised his voice.

"Alright, okay!" Wei Ming nodded and turned to leave.

Cao Ying’s expression changed slightly, looking nervously at Lin Feng, "Lin Feng, what’s happening, is someone causing trouble for you again?!"

Lin Feng looked at Cao Ying with a wry smile, speaking calmly, "Those outside are looking for you, they should be sent by your family..."

"Ah?!" Cao Ying was slightly stunned, looking at Lin Feng in surprise.

Before long, the men in black mentioned by Wei Ming were led to Lin Feng’s room outside the door by a little brother. Through the glass door, Lin Feng could clearly see all eight young men outside, every one of them had a bulging gun holster under their clothes, looking very capable.

The originally fierce-looking men in black calmed down instantly when they saw Cao Ying through the glass door, the leading man in black opened the room door slightly, ensuring Cao Ying’s safety, politely bowed to her, and spoke in a respectful tone, "Miss, Madam is very worried about you, please go home immediately!"

Cao Ying recognized that the eight men outside were all guards from her father Cao Tiannan’s security platoon, specifically the one who spoke, Chen Wei, the special task force captain responsible for Cao Tiannan’s safety. Who would’ve thought that her mother Wang Yueqin mobilized these people to find her!

"Chen Wei, who allowed you to come in?" Cao Ying glared at Chen Wei, asking in a stern voice, "Get out right now, my matters are none of your concern!"

Chen Wei was slightly stunned, although he knew Cao Ying left home because of an argument with Wang Yueqin, he didn’t expect Cao Ying to be so unkind to him, as she had always shown a very cordial demeanor with them as the mayor’s daughter.

Lin Feng looked on with interest, after all, Chen Wei was under the Cao Family, he couldn’t act against them, that would be a bit too rude.

"Miss... but, we were entrusted by Madam, we must bring you back!" Chen Wei looked at Cao Ying with a troubled expression, explaining with a wry smile.

"Chen Wei, I remember you guys are not my mom’s subordinates! You are all security personnel directly commanded by my dad, how can you readily obey my mother’s orders?" Cao Ying sneered, "That’s not according to the rules, is it? Aren’t you afraid I’ll call your superiors and report you!"

Chen Wei’s eyes widened, Cao Ying’s words left him feeling conflicted, technically, the dispatch of him and his men tonight did bend the rules a bit, as their duty was to protect Cao Tiannan, not to go out finding people.

"But, but..." Chen Wei stuttered, "Madam, she..."
