By the second half, the scoreboard at Jan Breydel Stadium showed the score was one to one.

The flow of the match was not surprising. Ajax showed an extremely strong desire to win from the very beginning, seizing the initiative despite being the away team and launching a flurry of attacks. However, the home team, Bruges, was clearly prepared for this. Their two tall center-backs stuck to Ibrahimovic like glue, never leaving his side.

The Swedish Striker was completely shut down by his opponents for the entire first half.
