Chapter 2243 - 2244: Another Small World!

Unveiling the truth that the little boy submitted to Tiangong, dealing with him became a problem.

Killing him would be a pity, as the little boy was a member of the Du Gu clan and had awakened his Bloodline Power. Furthermore, Ye Qiu couldn’t bring himself to do it.

But if they don’t kill him and take him away, would it expose their location to Tiangong? If Tiangong locates them through the boy’s clues, they would lead Tiangong’s people here, endangering the surviving Du Gu clan who finally found a place to hide.

This was indeed a difficult situation.

Ultimately, Ye Qiu and Lei Yi decided not to kill the boy and to temporarily take him back. However, to prevent the boy from sending information back to Tiangong, they had to knock him out and seal him inside the Grand Emperor Bell, cutting off any possibility of exposing their scent. They would then make a decision upon returning to the Du Gu’s current stronghold.

This seemed to be the best option for now, as the boy was indeed pitiful, and his current condition was not his doing—the real culprit was Tiangong.

The other nine members of the Du Gu clan still appeared somewhat dazed. After being confined and abused by Tiangong for a long time, they lost their sense of self and would need time to gradually recover.

For safety reasons, Ye Qiu also placed these nine people into the Grand Emperor Bell, and then Lei Yi led the way as the three quickly vanished into the mountains and fields.

According to Ye Qiu’s thoughts, he believed the members of the Du Gu clan who had not been captured by Tiangong were not in their ancestral land but on different life planets in the universe.

However, when Lei Yi brought Ye Qiu and Zhuang Miao Shan to the land of Western Wilderness, Ye Qiu finally realized that the current gathering of the Du Gu clan was hidden on the land of Western Wilderness.

The entire ancestral land was divided into four great wildernesses, being the Eastern Wilderness of the Human Clan, the Southern Wilderness of the Ancient Beast Clan, and the Northern Wilderness of the Icefield. Neither humans nor beasts would venture there, as the environment of the Northern Wilderness was too harsh. Besides the vast icefield, there was hardly anything else, not even plant life.

The Western Wilderness, however, was more special, shrouded in a veil of mystery. There was always a legend circulating that the Western Wilderness was the abode of deities.

Over the years, many Martial Artists ventured into the Western Wilderness, seeking to find the Divine Clan or encounter some fateful events, but legends remained as mere legends.

Although the environment of the Western Wilderness wasn’t as harsh as the Northern Wilderness, it was certainly not good either. Desertification was prevalent, and it was terribly hot. Whether humans or ancient beasts, staying on such land for too long would be unbearable.

Only a few humans would linger in the Western Wilderness, and most were Loose Cultivators. Major sect members or influential clan disciples were unwilling to come to such desolate places.

Upon entering the Western Wilderness, they continued traveling ten thousand miles. Initially, they could still spot traces of humans, but they soon became extremely rare.

A small flying ship swiftly maneuvered through the sky until it slowed down in front of a vast stone forest eroded by wind and sand.

As the ship was put away, several people jumped down, appearing beneath a giant stone pillar. The two stone pillars stood side by side, leaving a gap between them. Lei Yi said, "We are here."

Is it here?

Ye Qiu glanced around, only to see stone forests and endless yellow sands with no human figures in sight. This place didn’t seem fit to hide anyone.

Lei Yi, with a hint of mystery, pointed to the gap between the two stone pillars and said, "Follow me."

When Lei Yi passed through the gap, he suddenly disappeared.

Ye Qiu and Zhuang Miao Shan exchanged a look, realizing there was a special space here.

Without hesitating, the two followed suit.

Indeed, in an instant, the scenery changed, revealing a whole new world.

Mountains and rivers appeared before them, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Ye Qiu felt as if he had returned to the ancient lands of the past.

This place was very similar to the ancient lands of yore.

"Guardian Lei, you’re back!"

After Ye Qiu and Zhuang Miao Shan appeared, they saw many people around, wielding weapons and guarding the entrance.

Lei Yi greeted a few people, who were very pleased and regarded Lei Yi with genuine respect, showing that Lei Yi held a high status here.

After all, Lei Yi was a powerful master of celestial level, a type of esteemed warrior not common even among the great sects of the ancestral lands, serving as their pillar.

The guards did not scrutinize Ye Qiu and Zhuang Miao Shan too much, placing a lot of trust in those brought by Lei Yi.

"Let’s go," Lei Yi said and continued leading the way.

After passing through a dense forest, they arrived at a place where children played, and the elderly, women, and children were present, creating an atmosphere of a paradise beyond the world.

"This..."

"Surprised, aren’t you?" Lei Yi observed Ye Qiu’s expression, knowing this place was unlike what Ye Qiu imagined.

"Yes, very surprised." Ye Qiu nodded.

Lei Yi smiled and explained, "Years ago, a powerful member of the royal family created this place. Those who escaped here have been living here ever since. Not all members of the royal family could awaken their Bloodline Power; those who could were few. Those who couldn’t lived ordinary lives, raising the next generation. With our combined efforts, all the royal family members we rescued from Tiangong were brought here to strengthen the Du Gu clan."

Ye Qiu understood that although some of the Du Gu clan’s members were not killed at that time, a portion was captured by Tiangong and kept confined. However, some managed to escape, and these escapees slowly grew and developed over the ages, transforming into what they are today. This development over millennia is easy to understand.

"Guardian Lei is back!"

"Really? Where?"

"Guardian Lei surely rescued more of our clan."

Upon seeing Lei Yi and Ye Qiu, word spread quickly, and soon many gathered around, even the elders and women previously busy with farm work in the mountains joined them.

"Guardian Lei."

"Guardian Lei, are they also descendants of our Du Gu clan?" A cute little girl looked at Ye Qiu and Zhuang Miao Shan with big curious eyes.

"Yes, and this big brother here has impressive skills, so you should cultivate diligently in the future," Lei Yi said with a smile.

"I will. When I grow up, I want to go out with Guardian Lei to rescue our Du Gu clan members." The little girl said with determination.

Ye Qiu couldn’t help but chuckle, finding the child adorable. It reminded him of little Yinyin. Luckily, Fang Sijie and Niu Yinyin were safe within the Beast God’s power, removing any worries for their safety.

Just as Ye Qiu arrived at the Du Gu clan’s small world, the mountains where they had been suddenly tore open by a rift, revealing several figures.

"Where are they?" Emperor Huo asked.

Emperor Luan and Emperor Kun frowned, as the situation did not align with their plan.

Emperor Cun’s discovery soon made the four more certain that their scheme had been exposed.

"Ninth Brother, Thirteenth Sister, look, this is the item we left with the little boy. We’ve been tricked!" Emperor Cun exclaimed.
