After hearing Wang Cuixia’s words, Xu Ke began to admire his mother even more.

His mother was incredibly thorough in her considerations, practically eliminating all situations that could potentially arise.

Xu Ke thought that if his mother assisted him in the future, managing the company would be much easier.

After all, in terms of company management, he was still a novice. There was so much he needed to learn, and handling everything on his own might be overwhelming.

After packing everything up, Xu Ke and Wang Cuixia headed to the company.

Unexpectedly, none of the board members showed up at work today.

But then again, at the board level, if it’s not something important that requires their presence, they typically don’t come to the office.

Their absence, however, did not hinder Wang Cuixia and Xu Ke’s investigation.

Since they had been authorized, they could check anything within the company.

The offices of several board members were naturally locked, and no one in the company had spare keys.

Wang Cuixia first set her sights on Zhang Qiang, feeling this board member was rather suspicious.

"Son, have you learned anything about Zhang Qiang?"

Upon hearing Wang Cuixia mention Zhang Qiang, Xu Ke immediately thought of the knowledge he had quickly sought out recently.

All of that information was collected by Old Master Xu and contained materials on most of the board members.

"Zhang Qiang, I’ve learned a bit about him. But as for who he truly is, I don’t really know right now."

Xu Ke was being honest; understanding someone thoroughly in such a short time was an impossible task.

Xu Ke’s response didn’t surprise Wang Cuixia; even after being in the company for so many years, she didn’t know much about Zhang Qiang either.

The real secrets lay behind the door to Zhang Qiang’s office.

"Son, don’t be discouraged. You already know plenty. Now, we just need to see what this old fox has hidden in his office."

When they arrived at Zhang Qiang’s office, Xu Ke and Wang Cuixia were immediately stopped at the door.

No one had a key to this room, so forcing their way in was the only option.

"Mom, step back a bit, it’s my turn now."

Before coming, Xu Ke had already prepared tools. Without another word, he swung an axe at the door, breaking it open instantly.

Wang Cuixia stood by in shock; since when was her son so strong?

While Wang Cuixia was stunned, Xu Ke had already walked into Zhang Qiang’s office.

Zhang Qiang’s office looked noticeably more luxurious compared to others.

Even the floor beneath seemed to be specially customized by him.

Having been to the old master’s office, Zhang Qiang’s was in a completely different league.

"It seems this guy really is arrogant, daring to openly decorate his office like this within the company."

His gaze shifted to Zhang Qiang’s desk, which appeared quite ordinary from the outside.

But Xu Hua’s intuition told him there was more to it than met the eye.

Opening the drawer, he found a few seemingly typical board documents.

Xu Ke had already gone through these documents in recent days and found no issues.

He searched the entire drawer but found nothing suspicious, so he set his sights underneath the desk.

Historically, if there were any mechanisms on the desk, they would surely be underneath it.

When Xu Ke bent down to look, indeed, in an inconspicuous corner of the desk, he found a small button.

Carefully pressing it, a smaller drawer popped out from inside the main one.

By then, Cuihua had also stepped in, shocked to see the mechanism within the desk.

This old fox Zhang Qiang was too sly, creating such a mechanism in his office.

Carefully opening the box, Xu Ke discovered several documents that looked quite special.

However, he couldn’t understand any of them, so he handed them over to the dazed Wang Cuixia.

"Mom, take a look at these. Why can’t I understand any of them? Aren’t these company-related?"

When Wang Cuixia took the documents from Xu Ke, she immediately recognized some familiar elements.

Wang Cuixia clearly remembered these documents being crucial parts of a project bid the company handled a couple of years ago.

It was Zhang Qiang who managed this project back then, and he successfully secured it in the end.

However, Wang Cuixia remembered that the bid reported during the project was significantly different from the figures on these documents.

The two figures differed by twofold, meaning Zhang Qiang pocketed at least 50%.

Seeing these documents made Wang Cuixia furious.

Though she knew Zhang Qiang had always been a parasite within the company, this blatant embezzlement was a first for her.

Given how much they had already uncovered about Zhang Qiang, Wang Cuixia dared not imagine what the rest of them were hiding.

Below these documents, there was a plain sheet of paper with a string of numbers, resembling an ID or bank account number.

Instinct told Wang Cuixia it was likely a bank account number.

Perhaps it was an account Zhang Qiang had used to receive money from the project back in the day.

All of the company’s board members’ accounts had to go through financial approval.

Even personal accounts needed to be registered with the company.

Wang Cuixia immediately contacted the finance department to trace the funds in this account.

But what shocked her most was that the company had no records of this account at all.

In other words, Zhang Qiang never reported this bank account to the company. They were completely unaware of the financial transactions associated with this account.

"This old fox is truly cunning, hiding such heinous deeds from the company."

Xu Ke then discovered another card in the cabinet.

This card looked like a bank card but was clearly different from the one on paper.

"Mom, what’s this bank card for?" asked Xu Ke, handing it over to Wang Cuixia.

Seeing this card, Wang Cuixia didn’t seem too surprised.

Because this bank card was quite ordinary, it was just the company-issued payroll card.

It wasn’t surprising Zhang Qiang left it here since he likely didn’t imagine anyone would enter his office.
