Chapter 403 - Transcendent Realm Everywhere, Saint Realm Inferior to a Rooster
Inside a quiet room of the Fu family of the Central Continent.
Fu Dahai held a square jade box while staring at Fu Changhe, who stood respectfully before him. “Changhe, with these three saint herbs, your chances of stepping into the Feather Transformation realm reach fifty percent. If you succeed in breaking through, then the Fu family will have no more worries. Yulin won’t have to suppress his realm to compete for that Life-Extension Fruit for me.”
Fu Changhe’s heart ached. “Great Grandfather!”
Fu Dahai sighed softly. “What’s there to be sad about? I know my limits. If I hadn’t found that thing back then, how could I have lived until now? Even among Ascension Realm cultivators and those beyond, who can truly achieve immortality? Your grandfather, your father, and all your uncles... I’ve seen too many partings between life and death. I’ve long since made peace with it.”
By generational reckoning, Fu Changhe was Fu Dahai’s great-grandson, the second highest-ranking member of the Fu family. As for Fatty, he belonged to the generation below that, the great-great-grandson level.
“The Fu family has come this far not because of me alone, but because we have never fought among ourselves. When I'm gone, remember this well.”
“Understood.”
Speaking of Fatty, Fu Dahai’s eyes brightened slightly. “And back then, Tian Jizi said that if Yulin could survive his human tribulation, his future potential would be limitless. He is the true future of the Fu family. It’s just that he is too... too...”
He wanted to say shameless, but remembering that they were related, he ultimately didn’t voice it.
Suddenly, Fu Youde’s voice came from outside. “Old Ancestor something’s happened!”
“What is it?”
“A rooster came.”
Fu Dahai didn’t understand. “Rooster? What rooster?”
“It might be that one from the forbidden zone.”
Fu Dahai suddenly understood. “It’s that one?”
Handing the jade box to Fu Changhe, his form flickered and reappeared outside.
After seeing the bruise on Fu Youde’s face, he frowned deeply. “What happened to you?”
“He beat me up.”
Fu Dahai was speechless.
Still, thinking of Chongming’s strength, beating up a Saint realm cultivator like Fu Youde was certainly not a problem.

At the courtyard of the Fu family, the Fu family members gasped after looking at the majestic big rooster standing in the courtyard. The rooster stood with its eyes half-closed, radiating calmness and self-assurance.
The Fu family was astonished. What? Is this really a rooster? How could there be such a powerful rooster?! He even beat up the Saint realm family head just because he wouldn’t call him Master Rooster?
Beside Chongming, Li Xun trembled, not daring to let out a single breath. The Central Continent is too terrifying! Not only are Transcendent realm cultivators everywhere, but even a Saint realm expert lost to a rooster! In comparison, I am nothing but an insignificant little shrimp!
Just then, Fu Dahai and the others landed before Chongming.
Looking at the very arrogant big rooster before him, Fu Dahai was again speechless. “Fellow Daoist, after so many years apart, your elegance remains.”
As someone at the Feather Transformation realm, he was familiar with Chongming’s identity.
Chongming seemed impatient. “Spare me the nonsense! Call me Master Rooster!”
Fu Youde was angry. “Don’t go too far! Our old ancestor is nine thousand years old. Why should he call you—”
Chongming smiled disdainfully. “Nine thousand years? That’s supposed to be impressive? My naps last longer than that!”
Fu Dahai cupped his hands. “Master Rooster.”
He sensed Chongming was telling the truth. This rooster was far too mysterious. On the surface, he appeared to be at the Transcendent realm, yet he could unleash peak Saint realm strength.
More importantly, a thousand years had passed. Even Ascension realm cultivators would show some traces of aging, but Chongming appeared exactly the same as he did a thousand years ago, as if entirely unaffected by the passage of time.
Chongming waved. “You’re sensible enough. Enough talk. Where did that brat Gu Han go?”
Fu Dahai smiled bitterly. “I don’t know.”
The human tribulation was ever-changing. Not everyone experienced it simply and brutally like Tuo Jun, settling life and death in a single battle.
If he knew Gu Han's whereabouts—or worse, was secretly shielding him—it would undoubtedly introduce unforeseen variables. It could even cause Gu Han to sink into his human tribulation forever. That was why Fatty had gone alone to the Eastern Wasteland to undergo his tribulation back then.
Suddenly, Fatty’s burst of laughter came from afar. “Fellow Daoist Yan Qi, wasn’t I right?”
“Your calculations are truly great. Indeed, being human isn’t all that great. People only remember the flood dragon Yan Qi, not the original Yan Qi. But why do you insist on standing on my head? It’s rather uncomfortable...”
“Yan Qi, we’re partners! I stand on your head, you can stand on mine too!”
Yan Qi appeared a little embarrassed. “No, no. You’re right. What you say is correct. We’re partners. I was being narrow-minded! Besides, I’m too big. Standing on your head would feel strange.”
With this exchange, a ten-plus-zhang-long fire flood dragon appeared before everyone. On the flood dragon’s head, Fatty stood with his hands behind his back, robes fluttering... or rather, not. That green robe clung almost entirely to him, looking a bit tight.
He glanced at the crowd below with smug and self-satisfaction. I have returned on top of a flood dragon!
Suddenly, Yan Qi let out a startled cry, tilting as he tumbled straight down. “Oh no!”
Fatty’s expression changed. Shit! My flood dragon has capsized!
Chongming glanced at Yan Qi with a hint of confusion in his eyes. “Mmm... Little bug’s aura?”
For some reason, Yan Qi appeared to be naturally cowed by Chongming. Not daring to say a word, he curled into a ball, trembling uncontrollably.
Fatty was somewhat displeased. “Yan Qi, as a flood dragon, how can you—eh? Where did this rooster come from?”
Then, he spotted Chongming. “Could that be the talking rooster that the bastard mentioned?”
Chongming glanced sideways at him. “Little Fatty, call me Master Rooster!”
Fatty wasn’t buying it. “You call me Master Fatty first!”
Chongming was silent for a moment before saying, “Great Might God-Slayer Sword!”
Suddenly, his aura surged upward, and a Saint’s might spread outward. Five-colored divine light swirled around him, making him appear even more majestic and extraordinary. In a flash, the divine light circled for a moment, then transformed into a sky-full of multicolored sword qi, raining down upon Fatty.
Fatty was dumbfounded. “What the fuck?”
A Saint realm... rooster?
With a loud crash, the sword qi sent him flying as he let out a miserable howl.
None of the Fu family members made any move to intervene. Quite the opposite, they felt somewhat satisfied. In the Fu family, Fatty was very special. Take Sword Prince and Wu Sheng, for example. The family members treated them with the utmost respect.
In truth, countless Fu family members secretly harbored a desire to beat Fatty up. If they could break through his defenses, they would have done so long ago.
Then, Fatty flew back again, golden light blasting from him, almost condensing into solid form. “That’s it?”
“That’s it?”
“My defense is second in the world! You want to break my defense? Dream on! Just wait, I will stew you sooner or later—”
Before he finished speaking, Chongming had already vanished. When he reappeared, he was standing on top of Fatty’s head. “Great Might King Seal!”
His voice even carried a faint hint of sacred solemnity. As he folded his wings together, the multicolored divine light converged into an ancient, primal five-colored divine seal that came crashing down on Fatty's head.
Fatty cried, “Old Ancestor, save—”
An earth-shattering crash shook even the entire Fu family several times.
Amid the billowing dust, Chongming slapped Fatty’s head again and again. “Second in the world? Stew me? I will beat you to death!”
Li Xun shrank back, recalling some unpleasant memories.
Yan Qi was so terrified he wished he could burrow a hole into the ground, sighing heavily to himself. Prince, it’s not that I am being disloyal. It’s just... You take care of yourself!
