Chapter 2761: Do You Dare to Bet with Me?

The Heavenly Warriors all burst into laughter, clearly seeing that Su Yang was mocking the Eternal Main God.

The Eternal Main God was furious, his face turning ashen, yet he couldn’t say anything. It would be foolish to antagonize Su Yang now.

"Eternal Lord, let me ask you again, are you sure you’re negotiating with me?" Su Yang asked with a faint smile.

The Eternal Main God gritted his teeth, seething with anger inside but unable to show it, he could only nod fiercely: "Yes, I’m negotiating with you."

"That’s good." Su Yang chuckled: "Since the Eternal Lord can lower himself to negotiate, this matter can be discussed. However, Eternal Lord, your proposal has some issues!"

"What issues?" the Eternal Main God asked with a frown.

"You said before that only those who might advance to the strongest were allowed to vie for the Chaos Flower, so the problem arises." Su Yang said, "How is the potential for advancement to the strongest judged? Is there a standard?"

"There are people who can naturally judge!" The Eternal Main God glanced dismissively at Su Yang, responding coldly: "Once you reach the level of a strongest, you’ll understand. You can see at a glance if someone has the potential of a strongest!"

The implication was a mockery of Su Yang still not being at the level of a strongest.

The Heaven Slayer and others didn’t comment; they shared the Eternal Main God’s view. Whether someone had the potential of a strongest was indeed discernible.

Su Yang didn’t get angry, instead smiling lightly: "Can the strongest not make a mistake in judgment?"

"The strongest don’t make mistakes!" The Eternal Main God declared arrogantly: "Since you’re not the strongest, you’ll never understand just how powerful they are!"

"Oh, is that so?" Su Yang smiled faintly once more, speaking leisurely: "Eternal Lord, look at that fat guy over there; do you think he has the potential to advance to the strongest?"

Everyone followed Su Yang’s direction and looked over. In the distance, three people were gathered, looking around in confusion. Among them, one was indeed a fat man.

Seeing these three, the surrounding people couldn’t help but become angry. These three were the Crystal Skulls, the three ancient thieves. The fat one was the Second City Lord, the one who once had a crush on Black Widow.

One had to admit, the Third City Lord wasn’t wrong; the Second City Lord was indeed a fat man.

These three were infamous among the ancients, having enemies everywhere. Those strong from the Ancient Times did not have relations with them, but many had their tombs robbed by them, and hated them even more.

These guys later did significant deeds, stealing three wooden boxes from the Immortal Palace and later joining Su Yang in stealing half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet. Without these contributions, who knows how they might have been dealt with by now.

Even so, the Human Clan has always maintained a guarded attitude towards these three.

It couldn’t be helped; these three were just too vexing. Others steal to better their lives, but these three rob out of sheer hobby. Isn’t that just creating trouble for oneself?

The Eternal Main God glanced at the three, recognizing them, and a sneer curled his lips as he disdainfully said, "He’s never going to advance to the strongest!"

"Hey, watch what you say..." The Second City Lord muttered in dissatisfaction, not daring to raise his voice; he was, after all, confronting the strongest.

"Is that so?" Su Yang smiled again: "What if I say he has the potential to advance to the strongest?"

"Hmph, then I’d have to call you foolish!" The Eternal Main God responded bluntly: "The strongest don’t make mistakes in judgment. If you don’t believe me, you can ask the strongest among your Human Clan!"

"I don’t need to ask them; I only need to ask you." Su Yang said: "Why don’t we make a bet? If he does have the potential to advance to the strongest, then you lose. How about it?"

The Eternal Main God frowned. Su Yang’s confident demeanor puzzled him, leaving him wondering what Su Yang was truly aiming for.

The Heaven Slayer and others also looked at Su Yang with curiosity; they could clearly see that the Second City Lord stood no chance of advancing to the strongest. Su Yang betting with the Eternal Main God seemed like seeking humiliation.

"Eternal Lord, why aren’t you responding?" Su Yang ignored the Heaven Slayer and others, speaking leisurely: "Are you worried about losing? Is a strongest not confident in their own judgment?"

The Eternal Main God’s face turned cold. This was pushing it too far. How could he possibly judge incorrectly?

"Su, stop talking nonsense!" The Eternal Main God gritted his teeth: "I don’t want to bully you. You’re not even a strongest. If I win, people will say I’m picking on the weak!"

"It’s fine; this bet was my suggestion, and I’ll bear the consequences of losing!" Su Yang said with a light smile: "If I lose, I’ll return the remaining half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet to you. How’s that?"

The Eternal Main God’s eyes gleamed sharply. The remaining half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet was with Su Yang; the Guardian God was well aware of this.

However, this half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet differed from the half suppressed by the Human Emperor. The half suppressed by the Human Emperor contains the root of the Heavenly Dao, holding the bulk of the Heavenly Dao within it.

So the half suppressed by the Human Emperor can break free of the Human Emperor’s suppression and escape from the World Melting Furnace. Eventually, it left under the protection of the strongest of the Guardian God.

But the half on Su Yang’s side is merely a manifestation of Spiritual Energy, containing part of the Heavenly Dao Rules, not the root of the Heavenly Dao. Hence, this half can’t escape on its own or resist.

This makes it much more challenging for the Guardian God to snatch this half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet.

The reason why the Guardian God hasn’t come to take this half of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet is precisely this. Trying to seize this half surely means a deadly battle with the strongest of the Human Clan.

Although the Guardian God has numerous strongest, their strength pales compared to the Human Clan here. Plus, the Heavenly Sect has not yet returned, making it uncertain if the Guardian God would gain anything in a battle of strongest.

Moreover, they have the half containing the root of the Heavenly Dao, allowing them to slowly restore the other half, gradually returning to whole. Thus, they haven’t planned to seize the remaining half from the Human Clan.

Slow recovery may take longer, but at least it doesn’t require them to fight the strongest of the Human Clan head-on, reducing their losses, which is quite crucial.
