Chapter 2766: Rules of Chaos
The Eternal Main God left with several of the Guardian God’s strongest, and on the Human Clan’s side, the Heaven Slayers immediately gathered around Su Yang.
"Su Alliance Leader, how can this plan work?" The Taoist Venerable still wore a face full of worry, "The Guardian God can enter with twenty-two people, but we only have six. This... there’s no way we can fight. Even if we send our peak experts to help you, we still have little hope in this battle!"
Su Yang smiled slightly, "You’re talking about fighting this battle, but the premise is, we might not need to fight them at all!"
"What... what do you mean?" the Taoist Venerable asked in surprise.
Su Yang looked around, and the Heaven Slayers understood, speaking in a low voice, "No one can eavesdrop on us."
Su Yang nodded, "The Earth Principle is within me, you know that, right?"
Everyone nodded, though they were puzzled; what did this have to do with the Earth Principle?
"Someone told me before, the Earth Principle is Chaos’s rules," Su Yang said.
Everyone exchanged glances, that much was true; the Earth Principle was indeed Chaos’s rules.
"During my years of seclusion, cultivation was secondary. In fact, what I’ve always been doing is observing the Earth Principle, which is Chaos’s rules!" Su Yang continued, "I can say that right now, no one understands Chaos better than I do, and no one is clearer about its rules. In this battle, as long as it’s within Chaos, even if they have two hundred and twenty people, I am confident that I can seize the Chaos Flower!"
The Heaven Slayers were all taken aback, and the Taoist Venerable urgently asked, "Really? Are Chaos’s rules that powerful?"
"To us, it might not have much effect. But for the Guardian God, it’s entirely different," Su Yang explained. "After all, we absorb primarily Earth-level Spiritual Energy, while the Guardian God absorbs Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy. Normally, these two kinds of energies may not differ much, but once Chaos rules are involved, those energies produce a difference."
Pausing for a moment, Su Yang continued, "And in fact, what makes the Heavenly Venerable strong is not necessarily because their power surpasses ours by much. The truth is, the strength of the Heavenly Venerable comes from their ability to use the rules of the Heavenly Dao to limit our Earth-level Spiritual Energy within space, thus appearing stronger than us. It’s fundamentally the same principle!"
"So that’s how it is!" Everyone suddenly understood and were overjoyed. If it really was like that, then in this attempt to seize the Chaos Flower, Su Yang would certainly have no problem.
"So, is there any restriction on your use of Chaos rules within Chaos?" the Taoist Venerable quickly asked.
"Not too restrictive, as long as our realms are equivalent," Su Yang said. "If the opponent’s realm is stronger than mine, the constraint of the rules will be much less. Therefore, the strongest must absolutely not enter the field!"
"No problem, as long as we both swear by the Heavenly Dao Earth Principles that we won’t interfere in this matter," the Demon Lord said. "Otherwise, it will lead to our demise, and no strongest would dare to pay such a price!"
"Then there’s no problem!" Su Yang nodded.
"In that case, let’s quickly choose who enters Chaos," the Taoist Venerable said excitedly. "Su Alliance Leader, do you have any requirements for this personnel?"
"It’s not about personnel requirements, but about who should become the strongest!" Su Yang looked at the six people. "Do you have anyone in mind you want to cultivate into the strongest?"
The six shared a look, all astonished, and Qi’er said, "Brother Su, we really want you to advance to the strongest!"
"Me advancing to the strongest is a sure thing, I don’t need the Chaos Flower for that. Giving it to me is a waste; it’s better to use it to cultivate a new strongest for our Human Clan," Su Yang said. "So, it’s best to pick someone else and cultivate them into the strongest to maximally enhance our clan’s strength!"
"But if you consume the Chaos Flower, you’ll advance to the strongest faster," Qi’er said. "Right now, we need you to advance quickly so we can defeat the Guardian God first!"
"Even if I consume the Chaos Flower, I can’t advance to the strongest quickly!" Su Yang shook his head. "The path I’m on is different from yours. I can feel that the last Heavenly Venerable is also preparing for something big. Even if we defeat the Guardian God’s strongest, if we can’t stop the last Heavenly Venerable, we’ll still be doomed. So, my goal is not the Guardian God’s strongest but that Heavenly Venerable!"
His words left the strongest exchanging glances. In truth, they all sensed that the last Heavenly Venerable was undoubtedly plotting something, yet they couldn’t pinpoint exactly what.
Upon hearing Su Yang’s explanation, they began to understand his intentions.
"So, we need to vote again to choose someone new!" the Taoist Venerable asked curiously. "Who should we choose? Do you have any suggestions?"
The Demon Lord said, "I think the Eternal Divine Emperor is suitable. This man has survived countless calamities and once had the hope of advancing to the strongest, but was sabotaged by the Heavenly Sect, cutting short his path. If the Chaos Flower can bridge this gap, he would certainly advance to the strongest, and with remarkable strength!"
The Taoist Venerable added, "In that case, the Supreme Dragon Emperor isn’t much different either, in a similar situation to the Eternal Divine Emperor. Wouldn’t choosing the Eternal Divine Emperor over the Supreme Dragon Emperor sow discord with the Demon Beasts?"
"Or should we choose someone different, like the Suffering Buddha?" the Human Emperor asked.
Everyone turned to the Buddha Venerable, who remained expressionless and did not express an opinion. After all, the Suffering Buddha was his disciple, and voicing support would be unfair to others.
"The Suffering Buddha, Immortal Titan, and Eye of Chaos all have merits. How should we choose?" the Demon Lord pondered.
Everyone looked uncertain, as it was indeed hard to decide. These individuals were comparable in strength and experience—who should be selected?
At that moment, Qi’er suddenly spoke up, "What do you think about Ye Wantong?"
"Huh?" Everyone was taken aback and looked at Qi’er in surprise. Why would she make such a suggestion?
The Human Emperor also looked at Qi’er in confusion, fully aware of Qi’er’s feelings for Su Yang. Ye Wantong should be Qi’er’s rival in love, so why suggest making Ye Wantong the strongest?
Su Yang felt warmth in his heart as Qi’er showed genuine kindness, harboring no ill will towards Ye Wantong because she was his wife. Instead, she went out of her way to help Ye Wantong.
