Supreme Warrior in the City

Sitting cross-legged in the air for several years of cultivation, Su Yang suddenly remembered something.

He looked at the forest below and could see from afar that five of the strongest beings were still wandering inside. In that forest, there was indeed no danger.

With five of the strongest together, even if there was any danger, it would be difficult to harm them.

Su Yang didn’t greet them, directly leaving the area and returning to the chaos.

The Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable were guarding nearby. Seeing Su Yang suddenly appear, they were surprised and flew over to him.

"Su Alliance Leader, what happened?" Heaven Slayer immediately asked. Su Yang’s early emergence made him wonder if something unexpected had occurred inside.

"Nothing happened inside, I just suddenly remembered something." Su Yang glanced at the Eternal Divine Emperor and others not far away, saying, "I’m thinking, should we bring them in to cultivate for a while?"

"Them?" Heaven Slayer was stunned for a moment, quickly understanding Su Yang’s intention, and immediately nodded, "That could indeed be tried. They currently have no hope of advancing to the status of the strongest; perhaps they can give it a try inside, absorb the spiritual energy, and see if there’s hope for advancement!"

"Exactly!" Buddha Venerable also nodded, "The number of the strongest in our Human Clan is far less than that of the Guardian Gods, and having more is naturally better. Previously there was no opportunity; now that we have this place, maybe we should try it!"

Su Yang found the Eternal Divine Emperor and others and repeated the plan to them.

The Eternal Divine Emperor and others exchanged glances, having heard about it from the Heaven Slayer previously. They knew there was a unique spiritual energy inside that could enhance the power of the strongest, something they greatly desired.

"I wonder if this power is useful for cultivators below the strongest?" The Supreme Dragon Emperor expressed some concern. It had entered once before and half of its body had rotted away, an experience it hadn’t forgotten.

Su Yang said, "It’s fine, you can give it a try. If cultivation is possible, that’s great. If not, just come out quickly. At most, you’ll suffer some pain without any real danger!"

"That’s true!" The Supreme Dragon Emperor nodded, "Then I’ll go in and try!"

The others naturally needed no further persuasion. When they heard that the strongest could cultivate inside, they had already wanted to go in. Now with Su Yang taking them in, they were even more eager.

Offering to bring these individuals in was easier than bringing in the strongest. After all, these individuals had Heavenly Peak levels of strength, and Su Yang could assess their power levels, naturally knowing how much Power of Earth to use to envelop them.

With prior experience, Su Yang had become more precise in his control over the Power of Earth. Hence, this time, he didn’t take them in one by one but brought them all in at once.

Upon entering this region, their bodies began to rot. This was something they were experienced with, so they immediately started feeling everything around them to capture that special spiritual energy.

"So, this is how it works!" The Eternal Divine Emperor was the first to exclaim with surprise, sitting cross-legged in the void, beginning to absorb the surrounding spiritual energy. His corroded body visibly repairing before their eyes.

Seeing this, Su Yang was overjoyed. It seemed that even those below the strongest could absorb this spiritual energy to repair their bodies.

The others also found the spiritual energy one after another, except for the Supreme Dragon Emperor, who still couldn’t sense it. Most of its body had rotted away, yet it still couldn’t sense the energy, causing it to fret and move around anxiously.

"What kind of spiritual energy are you all sensing? Why can’t I sense it? I can’t detect anything at all!" the Supreme Dragon Emperor exclaimed.

"That’s not something that can be explained in detail; it’s a special and mystical spiritual energy that you must perceive yourself!" the Eternal Divine Emperor said.

The others nodded in agreement. This spiritual energy felt particularly mystical, neither like Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy nor Earth-level Spiritual Energy. Thus, no one could describe exactly what it was like.

"This is maddening!" the Supreme Dragon Emperor muttered, seeing its body about to give out, and reluctantly said, "Su Alliance Leader, quickly get me out of here!"

Su Yang led the Supreme Dragon Emperor out of the area, its bones starting to rot by now.

Once outside, the decay immediately stopped.

The Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable were outside, and seeing Su Yang escorting the heavily scarred Supreme Dragon Emperor out, they were surprised.

"Why are you only bringing it out? Where are the others?" Heaven Slayer asked in surprise.

Seeing Su Yang about to speak, the Supreme Dragon Emperor quickly interjected, "I’m just coming out for some fresh air, isn’t that okay?"

Su Yang shrugged; he couldn’t very well say outright that the Supreme Dragon Emperor was the only one who hadn’t sensed the spiritual energy. The Supreme Dragon Emperor did have its pride after all!

Understanding from Su Yang’s expression, Heaven Slayer pretty much knew what was going on. He smiled slightly and didn’t bother the Supreme Dragon Emperor.

Seeing Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable leave, the Supreme Dragon Emperor immediately turned to Su Yang, "Su Alliance Leader, quickly describe to me what that spiritual energy is like, and how do you absorb it?"

"That’s something that truly can’t be described; you have to perceive it yourself!" Su Yang said helplessly, "Even Heaven Slayer and the others had to perceive it themselves; describing it just isn’t possible."

"Nonsense! If I could sense it myself, would I have needed you to describe it?" the Supreme Dragon Emperor retorted angrily, "Aren’t I asking for your help precisely because I can’t perceive it?"

Su Yang: "You have to feel it with your heart, without impatience, and without distractions."

"Are you kidding? Am I supposed to use my heart to perceive and not my lungs?" the Supreme Dragon Emperor grumbled and, after a brief recovery, resolutely said, "Take me in again, I refuse to believe I can’t perceive it!"

Su Yang brought the Supreme Dragon Emperor back into the area, and upon entering, it closed its eyes to perceive. However, with most of its body depleted, it still couldn’t sense anything.

With no choice, Su Yang had to take it out again.

The Supreme Dragon Emperor, once outside, immediately looked around anxiously, relieved to see that Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable were not nearby.

"It’s maddening; why can’t I alone perceive it?" the Supreme Dragon Emperor said with wide eyes.

"Could it be that you have no affinity with this place?" Su Yang suggested, "Maybe you really can’t sense the spiritual energy here; if so, you might as well give up."

"Give up? No way!" the Supreme Dragon Emperor immediately shook its head, "Those old lamps can sense it; if I can’t, where does that leave my face? If word got out, wouldn’t people think I’m less talented than they are?"
