Chapter 2780: Admitting Defeat
If the Heavenly Sect had gone all out back then and coordinated with that Guardian God, they still could have firmly suppressed Su Yang.
But the Heavenly Sect just happened to be scared by Su Yang, which led to the current situation.
One Guardian God was slain, one was heavily injured, and the other three were all wounded as well.
Even if the Guardian God swallowed by Su Yang were to come back out, it was already too late. The slight advantage the Guardian Gods had before was now completely gone.
In fact, the Human Clan now held a clear advantage. For these Guardian Gods, it was only a matter of time before they were defeated.
The Heavenly Sect was seething with fury, cursing and roaring nonstop. But Su Yang only smiled in response, occasionally throwing back a mocking remark, which made the Heavenly Sect so enraged he practically jumped with rage.
This great battle lasted quite a long time, but in the end it still concluded with the Human Clan’s victory.
The Heavenly Sect suffered devastating injuries, beaten by Su Yang to the point of having no strength to fight back. Of the other five Guardian Gods, three were also slain; the remaining two were still holding on bitterly, but couldn’t last much longer.
If things continued like this, all these Guardian Gods, including the Heavenly Sect, would die here.
As for the Human Clan’s side, the Supreme Dragon Emperor and the other three were all injured, but none of their injuries were serious. Su Yang had his Undying Golden Body, so he hadn’t really been hurt, though his power consumption was considerable; he’d need a good period of recovery before returning to peak.
Although Su Yang and the others weren’t in perfect shape, killing the Heavenly Sect’s trio was still no difficult task. They had no intention of letting the three from the Heavenly Sect off, and went all out, preparing to completely annihilate them.
Just then, the power sealing off the outside of the Chaos suddenly opened a gap. Immediately after, the First God appeared not far away.
Su Yang and the other four immediately grew vigilant. Although they had all recovered to Heavenly Level strength, before a Strongest, they still had no power to resist.
"First God, are you planning to violate the oath of the Strongest?" the Taoist Venerable rushed in after him and said, "Aren’t you afraid of being erased by the Heavenly Dao?"
"I haven’t struck at them, so how does this count as violating the oath of the Strongest?" the First God said coldly.
"But you disturbed them!" the Taoist Venerable curled his lip. "We agreed to let them fight it out inside and not interfere. What are you trying to pull now?"
The First God’s face was icy as he ground his teeth. "I came in to tell them that this battle is over."
"Over?" the Taoist Venerable laughed. "What, admitting defeat?"
The First God ignored the Taoist Venerable and said coldly, "Heavenly Sect, take the others and leave. This matter ends here."
The Heavenly Sect glared fiercely at Su Yang, then slowly nodded and left directly with the remaining two Guardian Gods.
The situation was very clear now; if they kept fighting, they were definitely going to die here. Frankly, the First God was admitting defeat in advance to come save them.
They were no longer capable of winning; continuing the fight held no meaning. So conceding and leaving instead became a way to preserve their strength.
"First God, you really have admitted defeat!" the Taoist Venerable laughed. "You truly feel sorry for your son, huh? Afraid if he dies one more time it’ll be even harder for him to recover his strength? If your son weren’t in there, would you be this concerned?"
"Taoist Venerable, enough nonsense!" the First God gritted his teeth. "This time you’ve taken advantage. Take your Human Clan members and get out. Don’t think that just because you got the Chaos Flower you’ve gained that much. That Ye Wantong—her talent is lacking, and she even inherited the Female Sword Saint’s legacy. Two talentless wastes added together are still wastes. Even if she eats the Chaos Flower, nothing will change; it’s just a waste!"
"Say whatever you like, as long as it makes you happy!" the Taoist Venerable laughed uproariously. "Anyway, we’ve already eaten the Chaos Flower. After so many years, this is the first Chaos Flower to be properly used. No matter what the result is, we’re already very satisfied!"
The First God was trembling with rage, clenching his teeth as he left the Chaos. If he kept talking to the Taoist Venerable, he feared he wouldn’t be able to resist fighting to the death with him!
"Hahaha..." the Taoist Venerable laughed heartily, his face full of delight. This time, the Human Clan’s great victory had somewhat exceeded their expectations.
Although Su Yang had been very confident before, this was still the Chaos. The Strongest didn’t understand the rules of the Chaos and naturally didn’t know how much chance Su Yang really had.
In the end, Su Yang not only won, he won by a landslide. They obtained the Chaos Flower, and on the Human Clan’s side, there were no casualties at all—a situation they had never anticipated, which made them incomparably overjoyed.
The Taoist Venerable led Su Yang and the other four out of the Chaos. The Strongest of the Human Clan had long been waiting. Seeing the five emerge, they all came forward to congratulate them, and everyone on the Human Clan’s side was overjoyed.
"All right, the struggle for this Chaos Flower ends here!" From afar came the First God’s voice. He flew above the Human Clan, saying coldly, "Do you have any objections?"
"Since you’ve all admitted defeat, then let it end," the Taoist Venerable said with a smile.
The First God gave a cold snort and suddenly waved his hand. From behind him, more than a dozen Strongest rushed out, diving toward Su Yang and the others below.
The Strongest on the Human Clan’s side had already been on guard, and seeing this, they all made their moves.
"Buddha Country in the Palm!" the Buddha Venerable gave a soft shout and extended his right hand. His hand itself didn’t change, but three Strongest fell straight toward his palm.
As those three Strongest fell, their bodies continuously shrank, finally becoming like three specks of dust that landed in the Buddha Venerable’s palm, trapped within this Buddha Country in the Palm.
"I am the Human Emperor!" the Human Emperor shouted, and a huge stone tablet rose behind him—it was precisely the Human Emperor Stone Tablet.
The stone tablet tore through the void and shot toward three of the Strongest, suppressing them beneath it.
"All things return to one, source of the world!" Qi’er shouted coldly. Her body did not change, but a towering tree rose behind her—it was the World Tree.
The World Tree stood in the void, its vines like countless tentacles shooting out, quickly entangling three of the Strongest.
"Demon Salvation!" The Demon Lord strode three steps forward, endless black qi surging from his body. The black qi formed a huge vortex in midair, enveloping three of the Strongest; for the moment, those three Strongest were unable to struggle free.
"One Qi Three Pure Ones!" The Taoist Venerable’s Secret Technique was even simpler. He spat out a lump of green qi that transformed into three figures, who engaged three of the Strongest in battle.
The Heaven Slayer stood beside Su Yang and the others, not taking action at all. His main task now was to protect Su Yang and the other three. If all the Strongest on their side went out to fight and another Strongest launched a sneak attack on Su Yang and the others, wouldn’t that be dangerous!
