Chapter 127: Twin System - Gemini
Wang Gege instantly shot to her feet. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she stared fixedly at the tiny bee before her.
"S-So..." Her voice was no longer as calm as before. "He... is also a transmigrator?"
Mini’s pupils instantly contracted. Both of its tiny hands flew over its mouth.
"Ah!" Its entire body froze.
Seeing Mini’s reaction, Wang Gege’s heartbeat quickened. "So it’s true?"
Mini hurriedly shook its head before immediately nodding. Then, realizing what it had just done, it frantically shook its head again.
"I... I..." Its tiny face scrunched into a miserable pout. "But... Mini is supposed to keep that confidential."
The words had barely left its mouth when Mini froze once more. It slowly lowered its little hands and its tiny shoulders drooped completely. "Oh no... This little system said it again..."
Wang Gege blinked several times. For a long while, she simply stood there before she slowly sat back.
"So..." She looked toward Mini once more. "The Young Master... is he from the same world as me?"
Mini immediately buried its tiny face in its little hands.
"This little system is finished... I’ll definitely be deducted points... No! Maybe they’ll even replace Mini..."
Its tiny body trembled pitifully.
Wang Gege looked at the dejected little bee before letting out a helpless laugh.
"I was only teasing you."
Mini slowly lowered its hands.
"Host wasn’t supposed to guess correctly."
Wang Gege rubbed her temples.
"To be honest... I wasn’t expecting to be right either."
She had merely thrown out the most ridiculous possibility she could think of.
Who would have imagined... That it was actually the truth?
The room gradually fell silent once more.
This time, it was Wang Gege’s mind that had become completely chaotic.
If Xie Rong was also a transmigrator... Then... How long had he been here?
Because the way he carried himself didn’t show like he was new.
Did he know she was a transmigrator?
Or... Was he still completely unaware?
One question after another surfaced within her mind.
Until finally she looked toward Mini again.
"How long has he been in this world?"
Mini took a deep breath and looked into Wang Gege’s eyes, "Host, mini didn’t have any information about the other transmigrator since he is not Mini’s host. Gemi... Mini’s twin didn’t really share anything."
Wang Gege blinked. "You have a twin?"
Mini nodded repeatedly, "Mm! This little system and Gemi are the Gemini Systems."
"We are twins. But..." Mini quickly added, "Gemi and Mini cannot freely share our Hosts’ information. There are very strict regulations."
Wang Gege nodded thoughtfully. "Then... how did you know about him?"
Mini hesitated. Its tiny wings fluttered nervously. "Because... Gemi warned Mini."
"Warned you?"
Mini nodded.
"Mm. When Young Master Xie looked toward Mini... Gemi suddenly contacted Mini through our telepathy link. Its voice sounded very urgent. It told Mini..t hat Young Master Xie had already noticed Mini’s existence."
Mini instinctively hugged its tiny body. "So Mini immediately flew away."
Wang Gege’s expression gradually became solemn.
"Then..." She unconsciously swallowed. "Does that mean... he already knows about me?"
Mini hurriedly waved both tiny hands. "This little system doesn’t think so. It didn’t seem that way. It was just..." Mini’s voice gradually became softer. "Gemi only said... that Young Master Xie knew there was another transmigrator in the Xie Residence."
Wang Gege, however, remained completely still. Her mind had already begun piecing everything together.
"So..." She murmured quietly. "He doesn’t know... that the other transmigrator is me."
Mini slowly nodded. "Mini... think so."
Wang Gege fell silent. Her fingers unconsciously tightened around the edge of her sleeve.
"No..." She slowly shook her head. "Something isn’t right."
Mini tilted its tiny head. "Host?"
Wang Gege frowned slightly as countless memories flashed through her mind. "Mini... Does Gemi have the same type of system as you?"
Mini immediately shook its tiny head. "No. But..."
It quickly covered its mouth. "This little system can’t explain Gemi’s functions without permission."
Wang Gege sighed helplessly. "Another confidential?"
Mini smiled awkwardly. "Another confidential..."
The room gradually fell silent.
Wang Gege leaned back against the headboard, her fingers unconsciously rubbing the edge of the blanket.
"I see." She slowly closed her eyes. "So from the very beginning... there were two transmigrators inside the Xie Residence."
Mini tilted its tiny head. "Mm... As far as Mini knows... Mini only has one twin system."
Wang Gege stared blankly at the tiny bee. For unknown reasons, a ridiculous thought suddenly surfaced in her mind.
She recalled all those werewolf novels she had read back in her previous world.
Twin mates... Triplet brothers... Quadruplet brothers... And even... quintuplets.
"Pfft." She suddenly covered her mouth, unable to stop herself from laughing.
Mini blinked in confusion. "Host?"
Wang Gege waved her hand repeatedly.
"N-Nothing..." She tried her best to suppress her laughter. "I just suddenly remembered those Alpha-Omega romance novels from my previous world."
"They always started with twins... Then somehow they became triplets... Before long, there would be quadruplets..." She coughed lightly before adding with a grin, "Please don’t tell me tomorrow another eight tiny bees will fly out and say, ’Surprise! We’re actually decuplets.’"
Mini’s tiny head tilted so far to one side that it almost toppled over. "Decuplets?"
It immediately shook its head so vigorously that its tiny wings buzzed loudly. "Host! That isn’t funny! Mini only has one twin system! There won’t suddenly be another eight!"
Wang Gege laughed softly before raising both hands in surrender.
"All right... all right... I’m only joking." She scrunched her nose playfully. "I’ve simply read too many ridiculous novels from my previous world."
Mini folded its tiny arms across its chest and let out a small huff.
"Hmph. This little system is very normal."
Wang Gege blinked. "You do realize... a talking bee claiming to be a Fortune System isn’t exactly ’normal,’ right?"
Mini froze. After several moments, it lowered its tiny head.
"Host does have a point."
That innocent admission made Wang Gege burst into laughter once more.
For the first time since returning from the main hall... The heavy atmosphere inside the chamber finally eased.
