Xie Rong let out a long, heavy sigh. The sudden sound made Wang Gege turn toward him.

For a moment, she simply stared at his side profile before raising a brow. "You know what?" she suddenly said.

Xie Rong glanced at her. "What?"

"This didn’t sound right?" She pouted a bit, "Is this how this world works?"

Xie Rong frowned slightly. "What does Furen mean?"

Wang Gege let out a sigh of her own and shook her head. "Why does everyone seem so interested in you?"

Xie Rong’s expression immediately changed.

Wang Gege, however, continued as though she had not noticed.

"There was Xie An’an before, then all that mess happened, and now Gu Ruyan has suddenly returned with another same problem." She frowned deeply, "And oh—don’t forget that Shen Yurou," she shook her head. "Why am I the one who has to keep dealing with people interested in my husband?"

Xie Rong’s lips twitched. "Furen is unhappy?"

"I am wondering if this is fair." She crossed her arms across her chest

"Fair?" Xie Rong’s confusion was written all over his face.

Wang Gege nodded seriously, "If everyone in this world is going to be interested in you, shouldn’t someone be interested in me too?"

Xie Rong immediately stopped walking.

Wang Gege continued taking two more steps before realising that he had stopped behind her.

She turned around. "What?"

Xie Rong stared at her. "Furen wants someone else to be interested in you?"

"I didn’t say I wanted them." Wang Gege raised a finger. "I am simply asking whether there is supposed to be some kind of balance. You know..." She blinked and smiled, teasingly.

Xie Rong’s expression remained completely still.

Wang Gege narrowed her eyes. "Actually... let me just ask..."

Her gaze suddenly shifted toward the empty space beside her.

"Mini?"

Nothing happened.

Wang Gege frowned.

"Mini? Come out."

A few moments later, the little bee finally appeared before her but it still appeared to be cautious with Xie Rong.

"Host called Mini?"

Wang Gege immediately leaned closer. "Do I have any other love interest?"

Mini blinked, "Does Host wish to use the reward?"

Wang Gege’s expression immediately froze. "What?"

"One Question to the World." Mini flipped its wings fast.

Wang Gege instantly shook her head, realising that she almost used it, "No. Absolutely not. I am not wasting such a valuable reward on a dummy question."

Mini tilted its head, "Then Mini cannot answer."

Wang Gege slowly stared at it. "Ah, this is totally unfair."

Mini’s wings drooped slightly.

"Mini couldn’t help with this kind of question..." It lowered its tiny head. "Mini is sorry..."

Wang Gege let out a sigh. "Never mind. Thanks, Mini..."

Mini looked at her for a moment, seemingly still feeling a little guilty. "Host is not angry?"

Wang Gege shook her head. "No. I was just asking for fun anyway."

Mini’s wings slowly lifted again. "Then Mini will leave first."

Before it could disappear, Wang Gege suddenly turned toward Xie Rong, who had been quietly facing her the entire time.

"Can you ask Gemi?"

"Gemi?" Xie Rong almost burst out laughing. "If Mini is the splitting image of cute, then Gemi is the complete opposite. That thing is totally robotic."

Wang Gege narrowed her eyes. "Don’t laugh at him."

Xie Rong’s brows rose. "Him?"

"Yes."

"Furen gave the system a gender now?" He sounded a bit confused.

"Of course. Gemi looks like a boy." She furrowed her eyes.

Xie Rong pressed his lips together, clearly trying not to laugh again.

Wang Gege crossed her arms. "Are you going to ask him or not?"

Xie Rong glanced at her before slowly shaking his head. "No."

Wang Gege blinked, "Why?"

"This husband does not wish to help Furen investigate whether there are other men interested in you."

Wang Gege stared at him. "You are really jealous over a question?"

Xie Rong’s expression remained calm. "Yes."

Wang Gege paused.

He was so straightforward that she suddenly did not know how to respond.

Wang Gege stared at him for a moment before suddenly narrowing her eyes. "Fine. I’ll ask him myself."

Xie Rong’s expression immediately changed. "Furen—"

"I’m joking." Wang Gege laughed at his expression before walking ahead.

Xie Rong remained where he was for a moment.

Only after letting out another helpless sigh did he follow after her.

"Oh, Husband..." Wang Gege suddenly stopped at the entrance of their chamber and turned around. "The lantern festival... it’s tonight, right?"

Xie Rong paused. "Yes."

Wang Gege’s eyes immediately brightened. "And?"

Xie Rong raised a brow. "And?"

She stared at him. "Are we going?"

Xie Rong remained silent for a moment.

Wang Gege’s expression slowly changed. "Don’t tell me you forgot."

"This husband did not forget." Xie Rong shook his head slightly. "It’s just that Furen’s injury has not fully healed yet..."

Wang Gege immediately looked down at herself. "My neck?"

Xie Rong nodded. "Furen has only just begun moving it properly again. The festival will be crowded, and there will be people everywhere. This husband does not want Furen to accidentally hurt yourself again."

Wang Gege blinked. Her expression gradually changed.

"So you were going to forbid me from going?"

Xie Rong immediately frowned. "This husband did not say that."

"You were basically saying it..." Her pout grew even more obvious. "You didn’t even care about my neck when you ahem... me a few nights ago..."

Instantly panicking, Xie Rong gently covered her mouth.

"Furen..." He glanced toward the courtyard. "That is a matter concerning our bedchamber. It would not be appropriate if others heard it..."

Wang Gege stuck out her tongue against his palm before he quickly pulled his hand away. "I was merely stating the truth."

Xie Rong stared at her, looking as though he wanted to argue but could not find a single argument that would not make the situation worse. "That was different."

Wang Gege immediately narrowed her eyes. "How was that different?"

Xie Rong pressed his lips together.

Wang Gege smiled smugly before lightly patting his arm. "See? You don’t have an answer."

"Furen is deliberately making things difficult for this husband."

"No. This is called using your own actions against you." She once again stuck out her tongue, just to declare her winning.

Xie Rong stared at her for a long moment before finally letting out another helpless sigh.

Wang Gege’s smile immediately widened. "So, we are going?"

"Furen..." He hesitated.

Her smile instantly disappeared.

Xie Rong’s brows twitched. "Yes, we are going but Furen must stick to this husband every second."

Wang Gege immediately brightened again. "Deal! Then I’ll get ready."
