Sword of Glutton Princess

Lesson 23: Unpleasant Coincidences

Me and Mani stepped down to the basement three levels of the Romaburg Underground Ruins.

I am more aware of "Odd Sensing/Bottom" than ever before, draining my fighting spirit, expanding my range, and walking down the aisle while maintaining accuracy.

In the unlikely event that you are to receive an unintentional blow from a Warcraft equivalent to a Class C, you will be finished at that point.

Mani is walking with the walls lit.

Maybe you're wondering if the high minerals aren't buried.

Mani said that blacksmiths were originally the real deal, but now his activities as a haulier and miner are predominant.

Occupational patterns, maybe you care.

"You're going to mine?

"No, let's not. I'm just checking. I can't afford a lot of baggage, and I'm really going to be defenseless between tasks. The higher the minerals, the stiffer the surrounding surface is and the harder it is to dig out, so it takes quite a while for me."

Blacksmiths can vary greatly depending on the level… Miners also have aspects that depend on the level.

Some temporarily soften the surrounding surface with the smelting magic Alchemy, so I'm sure I'll use some of those.

I also wanted to have a role at all and have tools for mining, but at a level that I'm not properly called a miner.

"... Especially since my Magic Hammer" Flame Hammer Kagna "is not for mining. I really don't want to use anything other than blacksmiths... but I can't afford it, so I can't help it. It's not for breaking the surface or beating up a warcraft or anything. It's gonna wear out."

... naturally, but I didn't know.

I always thought Mani was saying that because he was ripe for blacksmithing, combat and mining with a single bottle of "Flaming Hammer Kagna".

"The purpose of this one is the golden snail, Gold My Mai. Exploring here is not something that we can afford to do in parallel. I hear you'll find a water fountain stone in this hierarchy of the Romaburg Underground Ruins, so I don't think it's a bad idea to go down here with that as your goal."

"Heh, the water fountain stone..."

Waterfountain stones are treated at considerable high prices.

That's all there is to demand.

You don't have to load a bunch of water bags, just roll a few water fountain stones and that's all you need.

Famous hunting buddies (parties) always have a certain number of water fountain stones with only the minimum water required, and even if not, they have every spare hunting buddy (party) just in case.

One day I want to be an adventurer enough to use the water fountain stone without hesitation.

"It's been a long time since you've been here, I miss you. Though I never told Dean... I actually took my feet this far once. I wonder if it was five years ago."

"What is this place... in the basement three levels?

Mani nods.

"You asked me to have the minerals I really wanted. It's also the deepest of the three basement levels, and it took a lot of time to mine. When it was me back then, it was suspicious if I could really dig it up in the first place. I didn't know how reckless that was at the time, so I just admitted it. It was a long time ago, but no, I saw terrible things then."

Mani makes jokes and mouths, but his eyes against the wall weren't laughing.

"The three of us headed, and one of them died. I was just lucky to survive. Don't get distracted, let's narrow it down."

"Right..."

... I wouldn't have felt like diving first without Odd Sensing/Bottom either.

Then for a while, he moves around exploring the odds of the golden snail Gold My Mai with the preceding threesome.

When I sensed a Class D Warcraft odd, I turned around and avoided it and moved.

The further we go, the slower the Odd moves of the Golden Snail "Gold My Mai".

After all, the wounds I did when I slashed them never seemed shallow.

It was going a long way, but the distance gradually narrowed.

However, there were other concerns.

As the distance from the Golden Snail "Gold My Mai" grew closer, the chances of approaching the Class D Warcraft increased.

Are those golden snails "Gold My Mai" using other warcraft to get rid of their trackers?

Finally, my "Odd Sense/Bottom" sensed that the preceding threesome had collided with the D-grade corresponding Warcraft.

"... Looks like we engaged the previous threesome, the Class D Warcraft. Looks like you've been pretty clumsy."

"That's a little disturbing. But if this turns me back, maybe it's convenient."

... Seemed to be precisely following the golden snail Gold My Mai, and I thought I had one sensible, but couldn't avoid it?

Again, I'm glad I was able to pick up Odd Sensing/Bottom.

But something unexpected happened after this.

"Hih, it looks like only one person is moving on. Are you insane!?

Only one of the three began to follow the golden snail, Gold My Mai.

Perhaps you two were injured.

"The greed of Ningen is without a bottom. I thought I had hunted down superb prey and would have lost sight of the lure '

Belzevute says intriguingly.

... but I was surprised, too, but it's not that I don't understand.

Defeat the Golden Snail "Gold My Mai" and you will be greatly upgraded.

If the level is different by five, it is assumed that it is difficult to overshadow a victory or loss if the performance of the magic conductor is the same.

If you have a higher level, you don't have to know, and whether you can defeat Gold Mai may even shape your life as an adventurer.

Demons and humans with a long time are different.

As we proceeded down the aisle, we sensed two odds, bending to hide behind the creepy statue attached to the side of the aisle.

I can avoid it... but already, there's no reason to conflict with these two.

I'll face Mani.

She sensed what I was thinking and made me nod my neck.

I'm going forward.

"... those two, can I ask you what happened?

"You think he's a haulier kid? Why are you there?

Coming home was a familiar voice.

I doubt my ears. It was a bad coincidence.

Coming out of the shadow of the statue was a little boy wrapped around a dark robe and... the other was Morgan, a big man with a known face, Gilbard's partner, wrapped in a bloody bandage around his thick arm.
