Sword of Glutton Princess

Episode 31: Moving the Carriage

I went with Mani and Edda to the basement of the example tavern to regroup with the Gumdon Deathliners.

The number of people is slightly increasing.

At the last rally, Edda and I were twelve, but we were sixteen.

Like Mani, I guess someone else listened to him from other adventurers and decided to join him.

"Hey, no environmentalist can ripen! I can do an incomplete" Ayalla, "that's all! I know you want to lay low on what you can do, but this is about our lives!

Childick, an assistant to Gumdon, is turning his voice to the adventurers.

"Hey, Childick! Those who are not will have no choice but to look. We're leaving, even if the army sniffs at us."

Childick is heard by Gumdon, stopping and looking back.

"Together, it's a little dangerous to have only two environmentalists. I wanted someone to insure my insurance..."

"Ha, what are you talking about, Childick! I wonder what it would be like for you after you fall. Now that you're ready, don't give me any more water. Hey, let's go!

Gumdon laughs so hard at Childick's worries, then walks to the outlet of the tavern.

"You guys, follow me! Let's bust the gray denomination and then let him lose his leg, Marty Magic Commander!

Childick stared at Gumdon's back, but soon afterwards he started walking.

Seeing that, the other adventurers start moving.

"... at least if Childick had stood at the top, he'd be a little more relieved"

I shrugged unexpectedly.

As Gamdon mentioned, Childick is an environmentalist himself, so he doesn't have to think much about a spare environmentalist.

The only time we need spares is when Childick's own survival becomes impossible.

Still, the fact that he was taking the initiative to look around is nothing more than because he thinks that the Gumdon Deaths can serve their purpose even after he falls.

…………

Mani narrowed his eyes and stared at Childick's back.

"What's going on, Mani?

"No, I'm not very honest in nature. It's weird."

Laughs as Mani deludes.

I wondered what you were talking about, but Mani didn't seem to intend to say otherwise either, so I never kept talking about it.

After leaving the tavern, he broke up with the carriage that the Gumdons had arranged, and was to head to the Romaburg Underground Ruins as soon as possible.

The Largin Chamber of Commerce and I hear they invest a lot of money.

Me and Mani and Edda and the other two we didn't know were going to ride in the carriage.

I was supposed to sit on the bench in the order of me, Mani, and Edda.

"Getting in the carriage with Dean is kind of fresh."

Mani says that like he remembers.

The only time I leave the city of Romaburg is when I head to the Demonic Labyrinth.

I didn't get much of a chance to head to the Demonic Labyrinth with Mani until recently, and even occasionally it was done on foot due to financial circumstances.

"I hear Mr. Chamber of Commerce has a good wingspan for a long time. As far as I'm concerned, I'd like you to add to the reward just for walking."

I also took the liberty of thinking that the Largin Chamber of Commerce would keep its support to a minimum because I don't want the military to pay much attention to it, but this way it seems to be funding me a considerable amount.

If you think this carriage is the decision of the Gumdons, you can see the point.

Gumdon doesn't look very generous, but he seems to have enough forehead to loosen his sense of money.

"... you're putting a lot of effort into it. Did the people of the Chamber of Commerce also suffer from the gray denomination?"

"Guidance, that may not be all. That Marti Magic Advisor has a considerable amount of tax on the Chamber of Commerce, too. The merchants will also be neglected. The aim could be the neck of Marti Magic Commander"

"Well, can you even think about it that way..."

The Kingdom of Ryuz empowers and places Magic Warlords and Magic Warlords to protect important cities in the country.

If it is clear that they are not playing a legitimate role, there will be no reason to leave them behind.

"Ma... the support of the Chamber of Commerce is only a financial matter, so I guess we just have to accept what we can get. Whatever the aim of the Chamber of Commerce, it has nothing to do with us directly."

That must be it.

I don't know if the Chamber of Commerce is trying to move to protect the city, or if we can use this as an opportunity to get Marty off the Magic Leader, because either way, our policies aren't going to change.

"More than that, the question is, can you really beat the Grey Church? I'm talking about not being a very large organization, and if you've been hiding in the Demon Labyrinth, you're probably wearing it out.... Still, if it's the quality of each and every one of us using the magic conductor, the opponent will surely be more graceful. I'm not in a better position to cry right now."

"... if the army really moved, it would have been spare"

"As a force of war, I think some of the army in the city of Romaburg will do something about enough. But if the army moves, they force the hostages to negotiate on their shields. In that case, the army will have to swallow the demands of the other party in its position. In that sense, even if the army moved, it could have been difficult to crusade them"

... The Grey Church isn't just going to do things from the front with the army guys, either?

Originally, was that the kidnapping you were after?

It's called Gaza, which was carrying out a massacre in the name of rituals, Brad, who started murder in the hall in the name of retribution, and a statement of the crime written in blood...... if you look at each case individually, it's madly stained, but the aim behind it as a grey denomination looks terribly rational.

"They're hostages to negotiate with the military, so they won't want to use it against adventurers... but when they're cornered, they won't quit killing hostages either.... in that sense, it's going to be a pretty painful fight."

"Right... right"

Gumdon was confident, but this battle with the Grey Church will be tough.

... The complete victory is that the dead don't come out as one from the adventurer side and the hostages... but I'm sure they won't.

There is also a good chance that it will end with the total annihilation of the adventurer.

"Um, really, let me hang out..."

"I'm sorry, stop saying that. I made up my mind. When Dean's doing something dangerous, he wants to stay close at least."

Mani dyed his cheeks a little red and smiled embarrassingly, "I think I said something a little embarrassing," zeroing his forehead with his fingertips.

"... mani"

"and... speaking of which, what is it?"

Mani drops his voice and signals me with his gaze.

I followed Mani's gaze and turned to Edda sitting behind Mani.

Ever since he got in the carriage, Edda has remained silent.

You look slightly more upset than usual about the unfamiliar rally crowd and the densely populated carriage.

Mani put his face closer to me and further lost his voice.

"... that, Dean. Am I glad I'm in the middle? Somehow, it's in the order in which I came in, but Dean's better friends with Mr. Edda, right? Nothing. I've never talked to her before. Isn't it easier for Mr. Edda to speak up to Dean over there, too?

"You don't have to feel that way, it's okay. Edda has a bad mouth, but he's a really good guy. Mani will be able to crack it."

"Well, I know that, but... is it a sense of oppression... or weird awkwardness..."

... Since he was a haulier, Mani has been good at getting the job done smoothly without rubbing even if he hits strange employers, and he should be a lot better with people than me, but he seems to be struggling with Edda opponents anyway.

Edda has thorns in her words, and her appearance is beauty. I don't know what it feels like to be distracted because of her proximity...
