Sword of Glutton Princess

Episode 35: Where's Gallock?

We decided to replace the crate with a chair under the bridge to discuss what we were going to do.

I wanted to start by asking Mani what happened to Garlock after we were gone.

"Mr. Garlock's been missing since the incident. It's just that the military seems convinced that there's a Mr. Garlock in the city. There are always army soldiers at every gate in the city. The examination is getting pretty tough, too."

The gates of the city are closed so that no warcraft enters during the middle of the night.

The only way to escape from the city while Gallock is not caught and security is to forcibly break through within the bright open gate.

"... How long have you been watching every gate?

To my question, Mani shook his head.

"You should give up on shaking off the watch somehow. I, too, would be in a bad position if they looked at me like I was exploring too much, so I was just watching from afar... I could see the magic captain's, grey military uniform. It seemed like there were a few others. No gate has ever changed."

"Sure, I can't do that."

I sighed.

"Why? With me and you, didn't you shake that dumb guy out once? Should I have done the same thing?

"Unlike the city, there's nowhere to hide outside. Being targeted by radiation magic (Attack) is also quite tight because there are no obstacles. The only way to escape is to defeat them all or drastically pull them apart"

It's impossible to shake off a Canvian equivalent without obstacles against him.

Edda should be at the top of the list among the Romaburg adventurers.

Even I was going to get pretty strong after I met Belzebute.

Honestly, I thought a one-on-two would allow me to fight a little better against my Magic Leader opponent as well.

But I actually bumped into him and figured it out.

Kanvya was much stronger than I imagined.

Increase the speed of werewolving by Curse Magic's Wolfman, increase the power of stunning, and create snakes by Medusa for melee range attacks.

And simply because of the high level, this attack is hard to get through.

Somehow, knocking in an attack by surprise doesn't lead to a fatal blow.

Maybe you shouldn't be in melee with a guy like that in the first place, but Edda shouldn't have the skill to distance and fight.

Even I lose power when I get a Belzevue incarnation in Petit Demordi, and Trickdove can't be a decision maker.

Canvia was tough to shake it off, especially since she could use Wolfman on herself to increase her speed, but other magic captains should have great strength in another way.

It should not be underestimated.

"It should definitely be avoided that you become engaged with the Magic Leader in a situation where you cannot escape. My" Water Float Moon "was also found out in the last battle."

I escaped custody in the first sight of "Water Floating Moon", poked my opponent through the "Blade of Rapture" and often took away my strengths.

But that may not go through with military opponents anymore.

Because it was most likely shared by the entire army through Canvia.

"... you have an itchy tooth. If I had more power, I wouldn't have gotten behind him."

Edda shrugged carelessly.

I guess she, too, was going to be able to fight a little more with her Magic Leader opponent.

"But can you really keep hiding from your military opponents? In the Glades, too, are we looking for Garlock and getting quite a bit of military investigation? I know it's dangerous, but isn't it a good choice to have Mani explore it somehow, poke a security gap and go to battle?

"That's right..."

Both keep hiding until the commotion calms down and forcefully breaking through the guarded gates have a low chance of winning.

But as things stand, there are no other measures.

If Garlock was to be discovered soon, the disturbance should have calmed down soon as well.

But apparently there's no sign of it.

I also know what it's like to think that Edda shouldn't be in one or eight fights.

But I still think I have more time to keep hiding.

"Battlepower is overwhelmingly insufficient to fight the army from the front. Even now, I know it's not a very safe measure. Still, it's suicide in battle."

When Edda heard my words, she bit her lips and leaned down.

"The power of war... if you're a collaborator, you might be able to make it"

Mani put his hand on his mouth and squealed so.

"Is that true?

Edda looks up.

"Is he there? I asked for it, and there's a chance they'll betray me and sell me. Even he won't be able to stay in this city. I can't believe he's taking such a risk..."

I was talking and I noticed.

Yes, there's only one person who fits the criteria.

"Mr. Garlock......?

When I said it, Mani nodded.

"If we can find Mr. Garlock before the military can negotiate, we might be able to keep him company. He's already a man who can't stay in this city. You can't betray us and sell us. Besides, he can't move because of the war. We're supposed to be pretty much the same."

If you're a galock, you have no problem with strength.

More than that, I'm worried that we won't pull our legs.

Garlock got behind her once in a duel with Edda, but he's definitely one turn higher than us on the level.

If I, Edda, Mani, and Garlock could make a move, it shouldn't be impossible to escape, even if the magic captain was at the gate's turn.

"But I can't believe you found Mr. Garlock hiding somewhere in the city while stealing the eyes of the army..."

"... Actually, I grabbed some information that might lead to Mr. Garlock. Of course, there's no certainty. I was going around the ghetto looking for you, and that's when I heard all kinds of things."

"Ho, is that true!?

The army is hostile, especially from adventurers and slum dwellers.

If you don't think you can gather enough information from them, maybe you have more minutes of running a blacksmith and handing it over than they do, Mani, only to find people in the Glades.

"Actually, there was a sighting of an unfamiliar girl in this ghetto. He was wearing an old robe, hiding his face, looking for medicine and groceries."

"To food, medicine…"

Hiding your face and trying to buy a living product is similar to what we do.

"Are you hiding Garlock...?

Mani nodded.

"It's likely. This is the right time, and, you know, he was dressed up, but he had the wonder and the money. Unless there are extra circumstances, I don't think I would do anything to look for medicine here, even though I have money, but there are many shops with poor product range and quality. If we follow her, maybe we'll see Mr. Garlock."
